In this episode we give an in depth review of our Yank single disk 3600 stall converter for our 99 Camaro SS. Only power mods on the car are 3.73 gears, and full exhaust.
I had 4200 stall in a TH350 and that was even lots of fun free revving coming to stop light like a manual tranny. I had a straight pipe drag dumps in my 81 camaro. Lots of fun.
I daily drove my 02 TA with a 3500 stall for years lol. Never missed a skip or anything . Ac ice cold Thats with 323s and then switched to 410s.. Loved it
Being able to daily driver a loose converter really comes down to what you can tolerate. I drove a 3600 around for 6 months and hated it because it always sounded like I was hauling ass every where I went. Fun as all hell but annoying to go to the grocery store or take the kids to school.
I really like my single disk yank ss3600 stall on my 03 rcsb that I daily to work. Its just a 5.3l with long tubes and a 4l80e swap. It really woke the truck up with the converter. Lock out is around 50mph for me. After awhile I kind of wished I went bigger like maybe a ss4000 stall, I'm sure it would be even more enjoyable.
I've got a 98 SS with an gmpp hotcam ,ported 243 heads , dormann ls6 intake , headers speed engineering 3-inch true dual exhaust, oil catch can....blah blah stock 4l60 with a Yank 3600 converter and the stock 10 bolt with 3:42 gears..... The car has gone 750s in the 8th...... I think the converter makes it perfect ... just enough but not to much...plus it's got frame connectors tubular control arms torque arm torque arm relocation Mount competition engineering shocks and I'm getting ready to put the sprayer to it .... Should be capable of mid to low sixes in the eighth.... Dude it's never-ending there's always something to spend money on
@@lsxjosh4375 I did a complete led swap of every bulb in my car also. I should of made a video of the guage cluster removal because it was a huge PITA to get cluster out. Not as easy as the trans am from what I have seen.
@@tarriouscarr2503 we used to daily a 4000 stalled camaro and is fun. With good lock up tuning it could be Street able and not getting tempted to floor it every now and then lol

i summer daily drove a yank ss3600 for over a decade with an ASA cam... no problem. it was fun as hell.
Works really nicely with a procharger or turbo, keeps it in boost!!

We enjoy our 4000 yanked 4th gen camaro and have got another 3600 in the box for the other car waiting.
What's the mpg on a stock 5.7 camaro like ?
City I would often get 15 highway was like 27
