Good detail in the tear down however the fuel injector connectors are easily removed......you need to push in the arc part of the clip towards the connector; it will spread the ends and allow you to easily lift the plug off the injector body. no more flying clips. I know, i know.... for an American car, i didn't expect engineers to make it that simple in the 1990's but they did!
So For the injector clips What I noticed after losing two of them was they don’t have to be pulled out completely. They slide enough to release tension and then you can pull the injector out
What year is your Camaro?.. I have an 01' and was wondering if it has an MLS from the factory or composite head gasket.. Is your original head gasket MLS? Thanks
Looking back at it I’m honestly not sure. I think I wanted to look at the cam lobes which doing that gives some visibility, but don’t think it’s required.
Orielys should sell a “gm” socket for it. I forgot exactly what it was called but they had two different styles I believe, I don’t remember exactly which one I bought.
Haven’t had much time recently but hopefully soon I will have new videos. Probably going to record ats j55 brembo conversion Window motor replacement And a few others
Maybe a cutout but that’s about it. I took the corsa muffler off and went with magnaflow since it was stupid loud after the cam. Even with the magnaflow it’s still loud but at idle could be a bit louder at times.
@@lsxjosh4375 that figured,I had a shop install a cam in my car, And I asked about the heads, they said they'll have to drop the motor 🥴. Wish I had the patience and know how. I'll do it myself
It’s really not bad just time consuming. The only issue I ran into was the ps pulley broke when I tried taking it off so it made it a pain to get the pump off the head and since I had the headers welded they didn’t want to clear the bottom head bolts. Other than that the only thing that would be irritating but not horrible would be torquing them once installed. I installed mine out of the car since I ended up rebuilding the engine.

Why did you take off the valley cover?

How do you get around the steering pump to get that driver side head off?
I had to take the pulley off the pump and then take the whole pump off. Hardest part is getting the pulley off.
@@lsxjosh4375 i knew it. I'm doing this as we speak. My cam is chewed from a bad lifter. Thanks for the response 👍
What kind of socket did you need for the oil sending unit?

@@lsxjosh4375 I went to harbor freight and bought the AC and fuel line disconnect kit

@@lsxjosh4375 Nice some 4 piston brembos would make the fbody look meaner and feel better brake performance. Any future exhaust mods?

I thought you had to drop the motor out to get the heads off of these things
Nope

@@lsxjosh4375 it's been awhile since we messaged, But I want a set of 243s.
all of those injector clips can stay on, just push them in and pull and the harness unplugs from the injectors.
