Many Christian parents endure the emotional and spiritual pain of loving a prodigal child. Daily we suffer, often alone in our silence, watching from afar as our child makes poor choices.
Unfortunately, this trauma and grief is rarely addressed in the church setting, leaving so many moms and dads to take this journey alone. But there are real biblical solutions available to everyone who is walking through broken relationships and carrying the scars of what we call the Prodigal Parent Process.
In this episode, Dr. Doug Weiss gives you practical tools and principles to aid you on the journey towards healing and hope. Not only that, but this guide can be used to help other parents in your church and community, creating support groups that provide strength and encouragement.
If you are the parent of a prodigal, Dr. Doug Weiss has created this FREE Bible plan just for you: www.bible.com/reading-plans/29071-prodigal-parent-process

I'm a single parent that carries some guilt and shame yet. And as a christian mom, it's heartbreaking and it's like a huge rejection When you're kids, turn their back on you and reject you.😢

I can’t recommend this book and dvd series enough. When I read it, I finally felt that someone really knew and understood my pain and trauma as a parent of a prodigal. There is so much truth to what Dr. Weiss explains, and he shares his counseling experience aligned with the truth of scripture. The power of group support is so healing and provides hope. If you have have a prodigal, you NEEd this book and you need to support this ministry for hurting parents in every church family.

Absolutely, a wonderful guide that helps parents what is and what isn't their responsibility when raising their children. I think this could be a wonderful class to teach at church.

The empty kitchen chair was like a knife in the heart for me and my son. Today so many years later she decided to disown me completely.

I'm so glad I came upon this series. But my heart's cry is that it often comes from a place of christian parents... I never raised my children christian and I vito christian twelve years. My son was baptized and has a bit of a belief. My daughter never had any "raise up a child training"But other than that they don't know that relationship with christ.
