- Welcome to the SPOOLIN UP channel.
In this video I decided to replace and re-route some of the vacuum hoses in the engine bay, the hoses for the catch can and also replace the dip stick and dip stick tube.
I did come across a problem or two along the way but now with everything resolved it looks a lot better and works a lot better.
Thanks for coming to watch the video, dont forget to LIKE, COMMENT and SUBSCRIBE : )
Good to see you back on the golf. Always good informative video 👍🏼
Thanks mate, better content coming soon though as most of this stuff is dry but I have to do it 🤣
Great update bud 👌
Them n75 pipes I got some nice braided pipes for mines 👍 I think its an6
Thank you brother
I think I remember you saying something about braided hoses in another video you uploaded before, they look wicked as well.
@@SPOOLINUP yeah bud deffo gives it that more cleaner look
They expensive though?
Great vid as always pal!
I may have mentioned it on a previous vid but you're really not going to see any gain whatsoever from the big injectors before your map though!
Not dissin but hoping to save you some money on completely uneccessary modification if you haven't already bought them. Your ECU isn't going to command anything like the maximum your standard injectors can already deliver so you will gain nothing at all from big injectors with your setup. They're only needed when you start going the big / hybrid turbo route.
Keep up the good work and always love watching your vids!
Yo man, I think we did speak about the injectors before and I will definitely take this into consideration because I want ro save money for sure. I know you arent dissing man dont be silly I am all ears when people want to help me out. I always hear mixed opinions about everything and its good. Maybe I will get it mapped without them and see what the tuner thinks. Thanks though mate, nice to hear from you again.
Hey man have you tried taking off the n75 valve and bypassing it with a MBC😊
No I have not tried that, I always thought it was good just leaving it be there doing it's job. What are the benefits of having the manual boost controller over the N75?
Yo man, Nice video again! Do you follow like a build tutorial before you map the car? So yes id like to know💪🏻
Hi man, sorry for the late reply mate I don't always get notified of new comments. What do you mean by build tutorial? Do you mean if there is a checklist of things I need to do that I follow?
Nice work on the vacuum leaks, where did you go to get the leak test?
There are people selling ecu's on ebay that have have the immobiliser defeated and even some with remaps if you tell them what mods you've done? I've not tried them but they have good reviews and it's just plug n play?
Also, I saw a video from Rtec saying you won't need bigger injectiors just a uprated fuel pressure valve for stage2, but I could be wrong.
The intercooler is looking pretty stealth too by the way!
Thanks man, I got the boost leak test done by a guy I know in North London but there are plenty of people that can do I am sure.
Yeah so Tuning Technics I believe sell loads and I know plenty of people that go to him, I will be getting him to do my remap and sort the ECU out. I would have done plug and play but he's local to me. I could imagine plug and play being the most exciting way to instantly have more power.
As for the injectors I have just been told I should change them, as with anything I think loads of different people have their opinions and its hard to make your own mind up because of it. Half the time I dont know what to do so I let someone else talk me into things 🤣🤣
Thanks for sure man and I appreciate your comment for the advice 👍🏽 it could help me and anyone else who reads it.
Looks good! Is the vent to atmosphere road legal over there? Pretty sure this will fail MOT here in the Netherlands :D
That is a very good question man, im pretty sure it isn't road legal bro. I was happy with how it was but someone suggested I change it. I would be surprised if someone noticed it though during an MOT ; )
Hey bro, i just installed an intercooler kit on my mk4, Im having some issues with my n75 hoses, i was wondering if you could help me
Hey man, I can try and help you. What's up? If you are worried about what hoses go to what side you can find diagrams online. www.google.com/search?q=mk4+golf+gti+n75+route&sxsrf=AJOqlzWTbEIpBztGT9qiVWrlFqE-U9ycYg%3A1676727305623&source=hp&ei=CdTwY9qBJM6T8gLrgrr4CQ&oq=mk4+golf+gti+n75+rou&gs_lcp=ChFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocBABGAEyBQghEKABMgUIIRCgAToHCCMQ6gIQJzoNCC4QxwEQrwEQ6gIQJzoNCC4QxwEQ0QMQ6gIQJzoECCMQJzoLCC4QgwEQsQMQgAQ6CwguEIAEELEDEIMBOg4ILhDHARCxAxDRAxCABDoICAAQgAQQsQM6CwgAEIAEELEDEIMBOgUIABCABDoICAAQgAQQyQM6BggAEBYQHjoJCAAQFhAeEPEEOggIIRAWEB4QHToLCCEQFhAeEPEEEB06BQgAEIYDUNQFWOwiYPwtaAFwAHgAgAG1AYgB8A2SAQQxNS41mAEAoAEBsAEP&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-hp#imgrc=rXrQa1maDBgpkM
Appreciated bro, you answered my questions!
Sadly Im having trouble with my blow of valve, its an hks but it has an air leak, i dont know if it is normal
Wicked man good luck 👍🏽
What size are the vacuum hoses?
What vacuum hoses are you referring to? The small ones like the one from the inlet manifold to diverter are 4mm.
I cant find a inlet pipe like that can you send a link if you have one?
Sorry for the late reply, have you found this yet?
@@SPOOLINUP I did finally find one it should be here tomorrow or the next thank you though
@richardsanchez4435 Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner but good luck with the inlet pipe. It will require trimming so just be extra careful and take your time. Good luck to you mate
@@SPOOLINUP thanks
What ever happen to the Brake Upgrade Update video???
I'm literally waiting for a day off work where I have nothing else to do to get it done mate.
Hmmm okay, Im actually in the process of collecting the same parts you have but can't seem to find anything off for the rears of my 04' Golf 2.0, I found some 01' TT front caliper set ups the other week and maybe you know would I be able to use the rears as well? 🧐🤔
Try this link, it has the most useful information regarding the brake setup swaps you can do.

Bro the engine bay is looking pretty sweet. One day I aim on making mine look like yours. Just got my mk4 jetta so I have some time. How long has it token you to get this far?
Merry Christmas, I hope you are well. Thanks for the comment and the compliment. I have had the car for a few years so I've improved it bit by bit over the years. You would be surprised how much you can clean up in 20 minutes. Deleting various things from the engine bay de-clutters a lot and wiping things down makes a very fast improvement. Someone suggested for me to get a new coolant bottle as the plastic is very contaminated and dirty so that will make it even nicer. Get some de-greaser and some rags...get wiping and scrubbing. Good luck 👍🏽
