- A thru and thru video of an LS swap on a 95 Impala SS. A culmination of 6 months of work to get it back on the road. I didn't properly end the video but the impala will make another appearance once the customer gets it back from the paint shop. Stuff I didn't cover in the video that you should know. Stock 5.3/ 4l60e. You can use the factory fuel pump unless you want to upgrade it. The car came with the ls muscle car oil pan, I don't recommend it because it hangs below the cross member. Go with the Holley oil pan. Motor mounts I'm not sure which ones were used but google can help with that. If you need help locating headers, let me know. Stock radiator and fans. A/C did worked after it was charged. I think that covers everything that wasn't in the video. Took a hiatus but the B bodies didn't. Maybe more to come in the future. Need more memory cards.
Update on the headers. The $200 headers went up on price.

This video is epic. I didn't skip it fast forward at first i was like damn that looks really easy but once u got to the harness I was like o hell no. I do enjoy wiring but it gets stressful seeing all the spaghetti everywhere.

Dude, great job on your videos. Very informative. I’m having an issue with my VATS system on my 94 caprice. I want to put my ls in it but for now I’m having an issue where the key won’t throw any start signal even with the bypass done. Any chance you know how to get rid of it al together? What’s your IG?
@bravosgarage.. what bypass did you do? The chip resistor bypass?
@@BravosGarage1the 2 orange wires coming from the ignition. I added the resistor that matched the key. But before I did this, the ignition wouldn’t react and the anti-theft light wasn’t even coming on anymore. The car sat for a couple years. I ended wiring it back to stock but the anti-theft light doesn’t come on at all.
@@FranciscoGomez-tm3pn you can try bypassing the relay for the theft deterrent module relay. its located on the driver side by the kick panel.

For the wiring, you joined both stand alone and OEM together? I’m in the first stage of my swap on a 1995 Impala SS. I’m putting in a 6.0 in there. My biggest worry is the wiring.

For the oil pan which holley oil pan did you go with?
On that impala it was using the muscle car oil pan. I recommend holley 302-2 but it depends on the mounts you use

What motor mounts is this using
Some standard sbc to ls swap motor mounts that a don't recommended. Go with KDS performances. kds-performance.com/b-body/
How u know it was from a Roadmaster
By looking at the diagrams, it was matching a roadmaster harness and it was going to take a lot of time repining to make it work with the impala. I talked to the customer and he said it was previously changed out because he was having problems with the original harness.

Did you completely remove the factory PCM and just run the LS PCM? I Wasn’t sure if there’s any reason you would need to keep the old LT1 PCM. I’m redoing an old swap in a 95 ss and they used both PCMs.
