How to fix engine fault code on 2013 Ford Escape. It is something simple !!

When you are driving and have and engine fault code that pops up on your dash. You would start worrying this is a simple fix. When I scan the car two codes came up P018B and that is the fuel temp sensor and the other was P0106 Both code will give you and engine fault light. The sensors fro this process are not two bad in price.

Mine started doing this about four months ago. And I wasn't getting any codes at all until about a week ago. I just now got a code for the engine coolant bypass valve. But prior that not having a code but having this light come on his baffled the Ford dealership, it's baffled all my mechanic friends and myself that has been researching this for about 4 months. I want to change the coolant valve today and see what happens. But I'm willing to bet that that has something to do with it because this is the first code that is popped up that could potentially be associated with an engine fault

yea I don't see how they design their cars like this because my wife would say that the light is on but when I scan the car nothing came up. and I had to wait unit I saw it pop up my self to know something is wrong.

We replaced the thermostat cuz it said that it was bad but now my check engine light won't go off n it scares me

ours is a 2013 ford escape 1.6 se it says the same thing but the engine light is staying on
