This video was EXACTLY what I was looking for! (2018 escape 1.5L w/126000 miles. But mine is showing “ power train fault, service engine SOON” instead of NOW. I’m sure it’s a precursor to it saying service engine now, but I’m not sure. I just last night changed all the plugs and coils and it seemed fine, but when my wife drove it today, she said it came back on. No noticeable change in power and she said it’s running smoother than before the plug change. Never thought about the batter thing. It’s the origional battery from 2018 so that could be the culprit. Engine service sign apeared exactly after full service to the car. It loses acceleration even few times I stopped completly. Engine does not releases annusual sounds (works well like a clock). But after restarting engine I can drive again for a while up until again service lamp turnes on. No fault codes were detected by computer scanner. But this problem still continue. And Idk what to do because no mechanics found any problems to the car. from top to bottom looks like sit and drive ,but when you actually drive it. It turn into a nightmare.
Did you ever figure out what's wrong. I just got an oil change 4 days ago went on a trip, and it came on an hour from home and is doing the exact same things.
@pablojuarez5057 Did not. Once I turned the car off, it went out of limp mode, and the alerts went away. Was told the alert will need to be active for a computer/chip reader to pick up what's wrong. My air blows cold in the floor board but hot in the upper ac vents and defrost, and I still am having issues with throttling occurring when changing gears. My brother is a mechanic and said it sounds like a control modulator?? Issue, but until the notification pops up again or the car goes into limp mode there's no way to tell without spending a ridiculous amount of money. So, I'm just driving around waiting for it to happen again and will pull it into an autozone or something to get a diagnostic test before I turn it off and it resets
Mine is like this, before no code appeared, now P2135 appears, but the throttle body and pedal work normally, I went to the mechanic and they said there was a smoke leak in the air ducts, the car was fine and light, but After just 20 miles the fault returned. I no longer know what to do. I've already spent more than 1000 dollars and no mechanic can figure out what it could be, not to mention it has already stopped completely twice and I had to call a tow truck.
I think i have a cracked engine block or a blown gasket bc my coolant is wasting like crazy nd it bubbles but theres no pool of coolant or anything. Just last night i put the car into park nd then it started going in reverse. I could move the shift gear and after turning it off nd turning it on the brake pedal wouldnt work. Then the car doesnt even make noise when i turn it on. I turned it off but the dashboard stays on nd has all the lights. Im so over this freaking car
