Lucie jones is a STAR and I’m so glad to have seen her perform as Fantine as it’s truly breathtaking
We are so lucky to be around at the same time as Lucie Jones . Any day now someone will write a part for her that will make her truly iconic , like Elaine in Evita or Julie in My fair Lady . Love her !
I had the opportunity to see the exact cast in theatre this August. Amazing performance, especially Eponine and Javert. This video brings back so much good memory.
I too was so impressed by nathania ong and it is so sad to me that her last Performance will be soon

I have to admit that stewart calrke was a brilliant javert. I wasn't expecting much from this cast but he stood out to me.
Saw him in April and he was an incredible Javert - probably my favourite of all I’ve seen ❤️
Didn’t stand out enough for the camera man to catch him when he started singing though 🙈 He’s honestly great but I’m not a fan of the new costumes and the new version in general. Ticket prices have gone up and the quality of the show has gone the other direction 😢

6월21일에 맨앞에서 봤어요.평생 꿈이 런던에서 이 뮤지컬을 보는것이었는데 그날 꿈을 이뤘어요. 모든 넘버에서 울었는데 오늘 one day more을 보고 또 울고있어요 너무나 감동적인 뮤지컬입니다

There was a helicopter overhead (in preparation for the King's Birthday flypast) and I think there was radio interference with the mic.

Im from Los Angeles Ca and we were in London a few weeks ago. Saw this amazing cast on my bday June 14, in the very first row.. We had an amazing time, which made my evening even much more special. So glad this is on youtube, so now we can always replay and remember the great time we had watching them live…. Thank you!

I love the music and play it over and over but the story just kills me. I remember reading Les Miserables when I was in high school and the musical is just as heart breaking but the music just soars.
You guys have no idea how lucky you are to get access to theater like you do. I'm in the US and theater tickets here for Broadway are in the many hundreds of dollars and if it's a traveling group, tickets start usually at around 100.00. It's really gone up since Covid but was quite expensive even before.l
When my friend and I were in London a few years ago we saw six musicals and wish we had seen more. We'd to to Leicester Square in the morning, always got great seats and the prices were just amazing. That is the last time I have been in the theater, just can't afford it.
Bat Out Of Hell was supposed to come to San Francisco a few years ago but it was cancelled. I had gotten tickets for 150.00 each. Decent seats but anyway, didn't matter. So enjoy, some may take it for granted but believe me, it's just a great pleasure.
Tickets in London are even more expensive
I think ticket prices probably depend on what you want to see. As I posted, the prices in London, at least the tickets purchased at Leicester Square were great and affordable.

I didn't like the pop riff that Lucie Jones included here. This musical is lyric and Fantine is suffering. I like her and her voice is amazing but I hope it was just a WEL adaptation because in my opinion old musicals should have a different vibe.

Producers know better that you. If she was asked by them to do that at the staged concert, and she is allowed to do that in the full production, then you have no say (btw she doesn't do it on every show). Musicals evolve. Ask producers
And also, you should hear the last few Eponines. It's a change done by producers, it doesn't have to stay as the original production because some of you can't evolve. The original french musical was more poppy than the original London production, that's also how it was written
@@mrPp475 As a fan of musicals for a long time I have an opinion and you have to respect it without being rude as I wasn't rude. I still don't like that riff, I don't care who advise her to do it. I've seen the show multiple times for the last 9 years in London and in my opinion it takes you out of the character. Is not about being traditional or against change. God knows I watched and enjoyed a lot of classics (Shakespeare for example) that were modernised and I'm not a purist. You could have said you thought different without being so friking rude and smartass but I suppose this is the internet and It is where education shows.

Good grief, “so, we want you to sing “I dreamed a dream”…….. at about six times the speed you are used to singing it because we can’t afford to be on stage for longer then ten minutes and everybody needs to get to the sing along bits but also, we need you to remind people that this is an epic, beautiful, sweeping, relevant, stunning, epic, wonderful musical that transcends not just generations but centuries so please carry that on your shoulders too, okay? We promise to send reinforcements but off you pop for the first part. Hopefully it won’t be as slightly comical live as it is on camera!”

No im same when he first started to sing I thought it was my computer andvi wasent keen on dashing round the stage I liked the original chorogaphyl that they wentvinto at end but I think that's the best all through one day more

Music is way too fast
They copied the Broadway's version of the One Day More march here though some of the cast look like they are swaying to the music.
Most of the leads appear to be cast for their looks rather than for their singing abilities. The Cosette is best seen and not heard.
Not the best cast, bad alchemy, not so great voices, except for enjolras and thenardiers ! But the overall performance was nice !
Les Miserables is my favorite musical of all time, the “new” staging is not. The choreography during One Day More is hokey and laughable!

Imo Lucie Jones can’t act. Can hardly feel any real and raw emotions from Fantine. Felt the same way when watching Wicked, the character emotions are just not there. Didn’t realise it is the same person playing these 2 roles but it all make sense now. In both plays there was only one person standing out from all the cast for not being able to deliver the emotions. Great voice but acting without no emotions is such a turn off.
Seek help.
So good in person! Enjolras @harrychandlr & Eponine @nattyong were my favorites! 🤙🏽
