Better unscrew the upper one, second the down. Why? Imagine that you flush the oil and then you cant unscrew the other...then you can a big problem. Better unscrew a little both, then proceed. Thank you for this good video.
Yep. Fill to the top. I still have this bike. It's now on it's second motor and had to replace the transmission with a used one (likely trans input shaft needle bearing failure). Bike still runs good tho. My fav pick for long distance rides.
It's best to replace the crush washers every time you remove the plug. They are designed for one-time use. Will it work in a pinch? Probably. Do you want to risk having to replace your equipment to save $5? No. All of the drain/fill oil plugs have these crush washers. Final drive, engine, and transmission. The brake banjo bolts also have 2 crush washers per joint. Do yourself a favor. Replace them, and don't live your life like an 80's Harley. Leave tire tracks, not oil marks;)
I was born in the metric part of the world, same place as the manufacturer of this motorcycle. Unfortunately, here nobody understands NM. Easy enough to convert I guess.

Every 12,000 miles (every other oil change) is recommended by BMW.

Mobile One makes a 75-90
I'll have to look it up in my service manual. Most do it once a year as it's only 230ml. Also take a look at bmwlt d o t c o m forums.
Thanks a lot!
