Just came on over from the CNBC video. I love your vibe and of course your photos. Any suggestions for getting hired as an assistant? I’m still an amateur photographer but want nothing more than to travel for photos and dive all in to photography 📸
I've assisted a few more traditional photographers at weddings and most of them tend to use HUGE lighting set ups like the ad600 with giant soft boxes. Do you have any experience with those? I was planning on going that route but If those don't make a huge difference then I'd rather not cary so much gear.
Nope! I have speedlites and stands for them, 2 standing video lights and 1 on camera but I keep it minimal and typically only use my on camera speedlite for the reception + a video light for sparkler exit
I really enjoyed your CNBC spotlight vid. You went big on the lens upgrades this year! Have you considered giving Magmod products a try? Search "how I shot it" Magmod. Also the Godox V1c and AD200 are awesome flashes and work flawlessly with their flash system. You're a very talented photographer and I'm looking forward to more content.
We need a 2023 update! Great video. Thanks for sharing!

Can you link the light from Aperture? Struggling to find it! You are AMAZING.
An update: The Canon 600 EXII-RT flash is now my go to and I have rechargeable batteries for it!

More money than brains. You seem to think more expensive is better. 50 1.2 is such a waste of money.
Thanks for this constructive comment! Super helpful and kind to leave on someone’s page!
