Glad you found this helpful! I try not to make to many changes especially when is comes the English/ Math. They are too foundational to constantly change for unnecessary reasons🙂
Thank you for sharing your choices. We are doing a lot of similar ones, and I keep looking at the BJU reading too 😊. You explain things so well. Please keep sharing. 😊
Your videos are some of the most helpful I have come across! I love your channel and you articulate your thoughts/reasons so well! I’m a few years behind you so I’m constantly rewatching your older videos too! Lol!
Nice picks! We also use Notgrass History, we are doing America the Beautiful right now and really like it, we plan to use From Adam to Us when we finish. The BJU Reading program looks fun!
I am new to your channel and absolutely love the way you review things! I am going to be new to homeschooling my daughter this year and she will be starting 3rd grade. I was looking at Abeka for English but I am going to look at BJU also. Thank you!!!!!
The watercolor is something my children have expressed interest in also, hopefully it is as encouraging for your children as you’re hoping and they have a wonderful full school year ❤
I’m very interested to see how you guys like Notgrass history and the Beautiful Feet history. My rising 4th grader is going to use Notgrass Our Star Spangled Story and then maybe moving on with other courses from them if she likes it. 👍🏻 😊
My son is currently using BJU English 6 and Reading 6. He enjoys it. It’s definitely challenging and reading isn’t his fave. He’s also doing ASL 1 with Mr. D Math. He really likes it. You submit assignments and the teacher responds with feedback. He’s halfway through the course and will most likely move on to ASL 2 in the fall.
Enjoy your videos! I will have to look into history of a horse...that looks like it could double as history and reading! We are going to do the typing course as well this year. My soon to be 7th grader wanted to do Spanish but after speaking with BJU and HSLDA decided to wait till 8th grade so it will count for 8th and 9th grade. Just learning about certain subjects taken in 8th grade that are allowed to be counted on transcript for 9th grade. Have a great week!
If you ever find that you need it, you can buy the activities answer key for reading 5 without buying the Teachers Editions. From 4 and up I find the answer key for the activities very useful unless you are reading every story with your child. I have 4 I teach though and have found them a sanity saver. You are right, BJU’s reading is VERY meaty and we have loved it. We also love their English and my oldest is doing all their ELA/reading subjects this year. We switched my kids over 3 years ago and have loved it.
Make me smile on your face
I would love to hear how this year went for you! I enjoy seeing your videos and they are so helpful ❤
I love that you are sticking with several programs that you have used before. This helps me when choosing programs for the first time

Great to see your picks. We have loved using history of the horse. Best wishes for the new homeschool year.
Thank you for sharing! I have my first middle schooler starting this year!

Thank you for the kind words! I love BJU for the elementary years. Praying for you guys!
I love your curriculum videos! BJU Press Homeschool is releasing a sign language course also that you might want to check out.

For typing 2 do you have to buy a typewritter? Thank for your video
We are switching to BJU English 5 and 8 next year!

Thanks for the tip!
We are doing History of the Horse with my 4th grader next year. She is so excited.
I LOVE THIS! I have been struggling on what I wanted to do with my rising 6th grader so definitely helps me narrow down a few things. 😊
