I did several posts on it on IG but not a video yet. I have an update video I did this past February explaining why I stopped sharing homeschooling for awhile. It’s on my list though ♥️
Awesome video! I loved the geography resource that you shared. I am definitely going to look into that and most likely going to buy that for my son for next year. I wish you could get a portion of my sale. You did show something on a clipboard from the Dominican Republic that looked Beautiful!!! Where can I find that resource? It looked amazing! Thank you for this video. It had so many things that were so useful! Your kids are very lucky to have a mom like you. ❤Thank you again for sharing and making your videos. I know they are a TON of work. Please know I appreciate them very much!!!😘😘
You’re too kind! That is one of the country studies from Thistles and Biscuits, here’s the link to them. You can use the code Arlene20 for 20% off (not affiliated). www.thistlesandbiscuits.com/country-units
I don’t use it the entire program. We just flip the page to a new word, act it out, or whatever option they choose. All done orally. I did a post on it over on IG. I can pop in stories tomorrow and do a quick explanation there, if you want to head over to my Instagram. Hope that helps.
Can you do a video of all the arts programs etc that y'all have used/tried? Pros cons? How to help growing artists etc? If you've done that already I apologize and haven't seen it! I'd love to know all her favorite or helpful tools as well! This video was great!
I’ve shared throughout the years in various videos, but not all in one. I can work on that in the next few weeks and share a focus on art studies. Thank you for your kind words ♥️
Great video! I was particularly excited to see you talk about myPerspectives because I'm considering it for my elderly child (9th grader) and I haven't heard any other homeschoolers talk about it yet. I look forward to your review video of that and the Thistles & Biscuits music program. 😊
Thank you! And yes, I found zero reviews on it. Only found information on it from regular teacher groups I’m in. I’ll be sharing a full walkthrough too, you can see some of the upper levels online portions too. I’ll be sure to point it out for those looking at higher levels. I’m pretty pleased with the format and flow of it. And support. I can’t wait to share the music program, it’s fabulous!
New to homeschooling & middle schooling. My son is gonna be starting 8th grade level in the Fall. Hunting for upper middle secular curriculum has been a struggle but I’m starting now (May) to get ideas because I need the extra time to plan
There’s not a lot of us, but we are here. Welcome. My daughter is going into 8th starting July. I’ve shared a few upper level middle school and high school resources after this video. We thought she would be a hybrid year, but decided against it and placed her in her grade she would’ve been if we never pulled her. Hope you find the more recent videos helpful and there’s more to come! You’ll find more upper level secular homeschoolers on IG. Feel free to message me over there and I’ll point you to them.
@@kimberlysleeth9084 I see it saids it’s expired. She’ll get it fix, give me a bit to get ahold of her and I’ll let you know when to try it again. She’s on the other side of the world, so may take till tomorrow morning. Just heads up. I think it’s bedtime there now 😆
I couldnt do completely child lead but now i am thinking of designing a survey monkey with I loved it it was ok or please something else since we also go through several curricula
Thank you for the art curriculum idea. I have an artistic going to be 6th grader as well that I would love to challenge. We have her art picked out for next year, but the year after that… We are super excited to be continuing our geography journey next year as well.
Thank you! So I do a very general outline for the school year. Major topics and block studies on my wishlist to accomplish. It’s a very loose and flexible outline. From there, I plan week to week with details. Sometimes two weeks at a time, but never more than that.
Look into Denison math! I haven’t used it but have my eye on it for later
Yes, I have a video of Denison as well.
Did you ever do the "How we Geography" video? Looking forward to your updates and new year planning. Thank you!
I did several posts on it on IG but not a video yet. I have an update video I did this past February explaining why I stopped sharing homeschooling for awhile. It’s on my list though ♥️
Very cool choices that I'd never heard of. Thanks for sharing.
Oh I’m so glad!

Could you do a video of how you use the Mrs. Wordsmith program in your homeschool day? Please.

We’re going to try Singapore math for 6th grade this coming school year. We’ve loved the elementary versions up to this point.
I really love Singapore math approach. We used a few levels in the younger years too.

I’m so intrigued by that science program - and the art history book looks amazing. Thanks for sharing your stuff, dear. 💚🔥💚
I think you would really appreciate Mosa Mack too. And the textbook is actually used in college courses too. So definitely can use for awhile.
Fantasic as always. Saving for future reference! Thanks for all the hard work creating this!
Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️

I couldn't get the discount code to work on Thistles and Biscuits. :( I was trying to use it on Woven Melodies.
I’ll have her check it out and get back with you. You did , ARLENE20?

I can only do child led for enrichment, it’s just not us. And that’s ok.

Oh that’s awesome, what are you doing for geography, if you’re ok sharing?
“Elderly children”!! 🤪🤣🤣🤣
😂
Love all the resources you shared! Do you batch plan anything before the start of the school year or week to week?

Called out 🤣
You didn’t think I was going to just let you off the hook, did you ?
😛
Now I'm sad I didn't join 🤣🤣🤣
You got time 😂
Elderly children 😂😂😂
Elderly folks , high schoolers 😆
