I have a rising 6th and 8th grader as well, we are using the same two funschooling journals but we will be diving into them for summer school! Thank you for the recommendation of the Journible I’d never heard of that but it looks like a wonderful way to keep up their handwriting practice. Prayers that you all will have a wonderful summer and coming school year. 😊
I bought my daughters and myself the book of John jpurnables to handwrite out as well. They are still working through theirs but I finished mine off and loved it so much, I ordered Matthew Mark and Luke for myself as well!
We're using the world's story 2 for my son's 8th grade year. I purchased it a while ago but never got around to using it. I still haven't decided on science. Math Language Arts and Spanish we are using easy peasy
Did your son do Fix it Grammar Level 1 or 2? My son has had some grammar but not a ton. He will be starting Fix it Grammar! for 9th grade but I wasn’t sure if Robin Hood would be too hard since he has never done Fix It before, but I also don’t want to start too easy with Level 2. I was hoping to start with Robin Hood and complete the last four books ending with Little Mermaid (Level 6) in 12th grade. Am I setting him up for failure do u think? Do u think I should just start him at Level 2 and not worry about it?🤪
Hey Monica, we started using Fix It Grammar last year. My son started with level 3 and he did just fine. I think starting with level 3 for a 9th grader would be perfect. The levels differ according to reading levels/ availability. Hope this helps!
Might want to check out homeschooling Christian teen group. Check make sure they re” not cliquish. My boyfriend unfortunately had to cut ties with a family member. Basically they refused to admit they were wrong how they treated me few years ago… we re” talking about running homeschooling group for autistic teens & typically teens .. we been man labeled crazy of wanting to homeschool our feature kids once married. We re” Christians.
Those thinking tree books look really good, and the watercolor course as well, I didn't know they had that one.
My current 8th grader did MB Logic and Spelling Workout H this year. We like both a lot!
Thank you for sharing about The Thinking Tree. I will be looking into that.

We're doing Redefining School's spring sampler too! My 7th grader loves it and has asked to proceed for 8th grade!

Lots of good choices. PS - my teen daughter saw me watching your video and said you look to young to have a 6th and 8th grader. :)
Aww, she is sweet! He was born right before my 21st birthday 😉 Also, moisturizer has been good to me lol!!!
Send all the books by post so I don't have to by them thanks so much
We LOVE Redefining School!
We’ve really enjoyed it too!
