What a great review! I do like the BJU Press materials and this was so helpful! The Biblical world view is so important. I am trying to make decisions about what to use next year for my 5th grader:)
Thank you for watching! My son used Reading and English 5 from BJU, and we LOVED their Heritage Studies 5 as well 😊. What have you been considering using?
Wow! The topics are fantastic! I might really have to think about using this for 6th grade. We usually use Sonlight Readers, but this is definitely something I might consider. 🤔 ❤
I highly recommend BJU Press! You don’t have all of the readers like you get with Sonlight, but, there are so many great reading selections in the textbook!
@@blessedhomeschool After watching the whole thing I almost wonder about maybe stretching it over two years and just working through it together. I’m very familiar with BJU. We used Bible Truths for three years, English for a year and a half, and Science for two years. All parent led. I loved it. My daughter didn’t 🤦🏻♀️. So I don’t know. We’ll see. Definitely looks like a good option. 😃
😂 I was just talking about how we did this exact thing with our history curriculum…spread it out over 2 years and just took time to enjoy it. It worked really well for us!!
i have a question i have a friend who also has twins that she homeschools her twins have opposite strengths one is really good at math and the other well started reading at 3 so her girls lessons are somewhat different from each other. Are your twins pretty much at the same place in their subjects
That’s so interesting!! Yes, surprisingly my girls are pretty similar for the most part. One is a bit more artsy, but for now they’ve stayed at the same level with our school work. I’m thankful for that as it’s made things a little easier! 😂
@@blessedhomeschool yeah I'm sure my friend has to order 2 different maths and language arts for her daughters. The one that started reading at shocked her she thought she was just playing with her oldest who was in 1st grade at the times flash cards for sight words and didn't realize for a few minutes she was reading the words
@@blessedhomeschool yeah some of it was paying attention to her lessons with her older sister cause she give the twins stuff to keep them busy while she was teaching her older 2 who were in 1st grade and prek

@@blessedhomeschool Hallelujah! I’m all about enjoying it!
Is there a new story to read every day, or more like one a week?
Most stories/excerpts are spread over 2-3 lessons, but some will only take 1 day. It kind of varies!

That definitely helps!! I find that my youngest has seemed to pick up a lot for the same reason.
