      @ I am from NYC so when I was living out there I fell in love with the area, wish they had Ebikes in the early 2000’s when I was living in that area it would have helped and I probably would have stayed if I had access to Ebikes back then.

    absolute banger of a video! I just bought a Revv1 by Ride1up and I have a dual battery setup. Just made my first work commute from Vallejo to Concord and I thought I was going too far, then I come home and see this upload! I wanna figure out how to get this type of range on my bike! I'd be juiced if I ran into you riding one of these days. Also, this video gave me some great insight on how to conserve battery and not kill the battery super fast. Keep up the good work Mr. Chit.

      @shootthechit Yeah I did both ways I also rode that bike trail and through the waterfront too. I biked both bridges on my very first ride this last weekend and took Mc Ewen Rd to Carquinez Scenic Drive into Crockett. Super nice ride downhill but not as intense as your Fish Ranch run in this video.

    great video and tour..gotta say I always look forward to hearing your explanations, especially when you're out of breath and have to force the last words out of your mouth haha. You're probably the only one that's done the full range test with that huge frame battery addition. That's crazy you got over a 100mi even going uphill at times being as a big as a linebacker with all that gear.
    You've got to be about 50 if you were in jr high when Metallica started to break onto the scene. That was when Hetfield looked like a feral young werewolf. That's when I was in jr. high and the smallest kid in school was the biggest stoner (compensating for his late or nonexistent growth spurt i guess) but he knew all the metal acts that were up and coming and probably had the best 'metal' mullet in school. That's when concerts were really fun to attend and you found out about who was going to be the next big act when they opened for another band. If you go back a little further in time to include the glam rock' bands of the '80s, even more really good bands came out of the Bay Area. But most of the hair band rock came out of SoCal. I forgot that even Metallica started out in LA (back when Dave Mustaine was in the band as he's a SoCal'er). Forgot about Exodus being from the East Bay but makes sense as Kirk Hammet was in Exodus before he took Mustaine's place as lead guitarist for Metallica. I think Testament came out of the East Bay as well. The Bay Area produced. Seattle, you can keep yer grunge.
    I remember the video rental stores.miss them believe it or not. I liked them because there was something to look forward to when you'd go to the video store and start picking out movies. You often did know what you were going to come back with..Rochelle Rochelle? I use streaming now..who doesn't but I just preferred the older school pace of anticipation and leading into good times. You can get what you want on demand in an instant now and that's cool but it's not the same. I almost liken it to listening to the radio over other streaming platforms. I know I can pull up a song anytime I like, but to have it come on over the radio still feels more special when it crops up unexpectedly.
    Now that I look back there was a period before metal got all overcategorized as thrash, progressive, etc. where it was just all really good chit that stood on its own. Like from '88-'91 was a period when metal acts just produced good tunes before they pigeonholed themselves into a particular sound, whether band decision or the label's direction i don't know. I remember I liked Pantera on Cowboys from Hell but then they sounded like mostly moshpit metal after that album (with a few exceptions). My buddies all loved their albums but that was pretty much the last one i cared for by them. Metallica was great workout music back in the day..still is I guess.
    Sorry for the longwinded fat chew but your nostalgic tour inspired a bit of it. 2 thumbs up the chitter! Let's see your pitchforks, Northern California!!

    • @shootthechit
      @shootthechit  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm 45, when I first started listening to Metallica it was And Justice For All era, then worked our way back. Also really like Slayer , one of my favorite bands for sure.
      I think Testament is from Antioch of all places, at least I know the lead signer lives here (or did). This area has a lot of cool music history. Creedence is also from El Cerrito... which makes no sense because they sound like a southern band.
      Thanks for the comment, I like hearing other peoples memories of the good old days

    I went with the extra 20 Ah battery and I can go over 100 miles and still had 29 % left.
    It just keeps the weight down and less weight less stress on components. Plus I weigh 230.
    In addition I am thinking of going 72 volt in future.

    How was the seat on the Moto Goat over 100 miles? I got the M20 Engwe, it had a "motorcycle-like" seat like the Moto Goat, and I thought its seat was terrible. It was quite hard. I ended up welding together a frame for the seat platform to hold a plush but regular bike seat. I also had to improvise a rack system to hold the heavier things off my back. Backpacks are not that great for bike touring IMO.

    • @shootthechit
      @shootthechit  3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Its much more comfortable than the M20 seat. I was still doing fine after the ride minus the weight of the backpack making my lower back a bit sore.

    I use a 33 Ah setup and get similar mileage, so a ton of watts are blown away by riding fast and with a heavier bike. And I thought mine was heavy at about 90 pounds. I can get the same mileage on flat terrain in level 1 pedal assist plus pedaling the entire time, also wearing a heavy backpack, (loaded up with tools and spare inner tubes so I don't get stranded). Basically, it seems as though most of the watts are being blown away just compensating for the weight of the bike and rider. Although technically the rider could drop weight, I think it's better if bike manufacturers also do it on their end. If I run up to level 2 (out of 5) pedal assist, my mileage drops to about 80-some miles ... I never ride to complete battery exhaustion, so I don't know the exact amount, but it's noticeably less than the 100 mile range on level 1 pedal assist. In both cases I am riding it like an ordinary bicycle: pedaling the entire time.

    Would you say that brake upgrade could work for an E-cells five star? I know that bike doesnt cook the brakes the same way, but I have felt the brakes on that bike are lacking sometimes. And if I am going through the trouble to upgrade the brakes, it might as well be to something good.

    • @shootthechit
      @shootthechit  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @RXR25 I'm almost 100% sure it would work. The tricky part is figuring out the adapters for the rotors. It also looks like the Ecells uses a different plug for the brake sensor so it wouldn't plug directly in

    • @RXR25
      @RXR25 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@shootthechit Hmm maybe there is an adapter. It's not the worst thing to have the brake sensor unplugged, a lot of E-Motos do that. But its nice to have to not waste battery power.
