I’m loving the stealthy night testing of the 50(cough 15)mph … black e-bike wearing black knitted approved safety helmet and matching hoody, no bike lights etc. At least the hi-viz spoke covers and white trainers saved the day?😂😂
I got really pumped up when you were cruising around your area. The bike I'm going to purchase won't be able to do what your bike can do but it's great to be taught by you to know how much potential can be unlocked with some hard work and the right parts. In just two of your videos I have a good idea of the strong points, and the weak ones, of the bike that fits my budget. I live in the mountains east of Pittsburgh, Pa. I'll be using my bike to go fishing and get around some lakes. It's going to see as much time off the pavement as on. Your Michelin tires certainly caught my eye. Great video and congratulations on a Great build! Thanks so much!!!
On the throttle merging, you only need to bridge the signal wire between the two controllers and you can do it closer to the second controller to keep it neat.
If you know someone with a 3d printer, you could get someone to mock up some adapters for some 300mm mx disks and calliper mounts. The caliper mount adapter could double up as the torque arm. Another way would be trials rims and hydraulic rim brakes on a dual motor setup
Nice build! So I don't bite it when starting from a complete stop on an unstable roads, I usually put the motors on different throttles and make the front motor pedal assist with full power on throttle and the rear motor on throttle only. That way I can start out without spinning the front wheel (unless I want it to.)
Love it!! I would adjust the front motor controllers mid throttle voltage so you have very little amps until 3/4 twist (3.7-3.9v) 10A. That should get rid of the cornering issue and tame that wheel spin.
Have you tried solder shrink tubes, put each end of the wires in them heat it with a lighter and the solder melts joining the wires and shrink tube seals the connection, you get them in all the size gauge of wires and they are super strong , neat and waterproof connections. You'll never need to muck around with soldering irons again!
I've been using uberbike parts for a while. They're wicked. Thier radiator discs are good. No 203s I don't think though. I need to crack on with my next project, been too busy at the gym this year...

It might fit my Kona Stinky for when I upgrade BBSHD and want to build a hub drive but there's no chance will fit the frame lol.

I think if you can build it with alot torque and make it fast .Then you should and show off what a dream build can become. If I could afford to build one to your specs I would do the same thing.
hello, I just connected the green wire of the throttle (signal) of the first controller to the green wire of the second controller without connecting the red and the black just the signal and between the 2 a switch, and a Y cord to connect the battery to the 2 controllers, good video, thanks.

How do the modes work on these builds thinking of getting a kit from the website. I noticed there is 5 modes however i looked at the display settings on the nc-60 and a few others and all of them say its for pedal assist? I like the idea of being able to limit the power on different modes if your just using the throttle only.... How does it work if you are not pedaling? i cant see anything suggesting its for limiting power but just that its for assistance with pedaling? even on the online instructions for the nc-60 it says these levels are for pedal assist and setting it at zero offers no pedal assist output. Are you going into something different and not pressing the +/- buttons? Just confused how pedal assist modes are making it faster with the throttle. Do all displays do this? like the popular UKC1? Thanks
I think its the fish eye effect on the camera making it look like your going 3x the legal speed 😉 Out of interest for general/safe use would it be best to put the front wheel on assist mode and have the sensor for assist on the rear wheel instead of the pedals or something like that.
Does adding all that extra weight exceed the weight limit of the frame. Because bikes come with a max rider weight. Also the headsets bearings are taking the extra load of the weight when braking. Is this bike safe ?.
Would those battery cables really be adequate to sustain 100 amps of current? I reckon they might get a bit melty if full power was maintained for long.
Brake sqeal usually comes from not cleaning the anti-rust oil off the discs with brake cleaner before first use. It takes ages to burn the oil off if you do this and squeals like a pig.

That controller wiring is wrong unless the controllers use 10awg pure copper but it looked thinner and or aluminum/ccaI feel like you have 10ga at the battery going to a connector that has 12ga and the other 10ga is spliced into that.
front wheelspin doesn’t make you go faster, it just adds weight, reduces control, and increases risk of a broken dropout on the front fork..ask me how I know…

U can double Y join wires they'd never come apart no solder needed
They are not meant to be all that good if you ask a proper spark they say they are shit
Yeah it's OK for small solder connections but they shrink before sliding up the wire on thicker gauge cable
I've used them on a few jobs and touch wood I've not had any problems.
