@seanbyrne8767 agreed it can be made very rideable and still substantially quicker than single hun. Obviously I intentionally spin up the front wheel just for added yt drama lol but it could be very rideable with the right settings
On the throttle merging, you only need to bridge the signal wire between the two controllers and you can do it closer to the second controller to keep it neat.
I’m loving the stealthy night testing of the 50(cough 15)mph … black e-bike wearing black knitted approved safety helmet and matching hoody, no bike lights etc. At least the hi-viz spoke covers and white trainers saved the day?😂😂
I got really pumped up when you were cruising around your area. The bike I'm going to purchase won't be able to do what your bike can do but it's great to be taught by you to know how much potential can be unlocked with some hard work and the right parts. In just two of your videos I have a good idea of the strong points, and the weak ones, of the bike that fits my budget. I live in the mountains east of Pittsburgh, Pa. I'll be using my bike to go fishing and get around some lakes. It's going to see as much time off the pavement as on. Your Michelin tires certainly caught my eye. Great video and congratulations on a Great build! Thanks so much!!!
Nice build! So I don't bite it when starting from a complete stop on an unstable roads, I usually put the motors on different throttles and make the front motor pedal assist with full power on throttle and the rear motor on throttle only. That way I can start out without spinning the front wheel (unless I want it to.)
Good build mate a bit like mine ,I've got front and rear 2000w hubs 2x sine wave controllers 2x 60v batteries = 2 seperate systems 1 battery for each motor so got regen braking both wheels i hardly ever squeeze the brake disks, and dual throttles one for front one for rear i start rear motor first then ease on front motor cuts down on front wheelspin and also safer for cornering..

savage. i don't like the spoke covers for the reason you touched on. stealth, well the lack of. but it takes all sorts. if it floats your boat as they say.
Have you tried solder shrink tubes, put each end of the wires in them heat it with a lighter and the solder melts joining the wires and shrink tube seals the connection, you get them in all the size gauge of wires and they are super strong , neat and waterproof connections. You'll never need to muck around with soldering irons again!

Hey Steve I did a similar build recently and you can buy dual motor to 1 battery adapters and the same thing for the throttle and they work perfectly fine I got mine from Amazon
If you know someone with a 3d printer, you could get someone to mock up some adapters for some 300mm mx disks and calliper mounts. The caliper mount adapter could double up as the torque arm. Another way would be trials rims and hydraulic rim brakes on a dual motor setup
That's second hand R1 money. Pretty expensive. But i bet its worth it in the end as it'll be absolutely bonkers and that's what i love. Keep it up brother...👍🏾
Love it!! I would adjust the front motor controllers mid throttle voltage so you have very little amps until 3/4 twist (3.7-3.9v) 10A. That should get rid of the cornering issue and tame that wheel spin.
I had built one with 2 motors and it was really quick getting speed, top speed was the same acceleration madness front will be skiding, anyway you forget to use safety brackets for the front will to prevent the axle twisting... The rest is looking good 👍
I’d like to know how heavy the battery is compared to the 52v 20ah .. I kinda want to make a battery bag for my next build , I’d get some padding or spine/back protection fitted to the bag aswell , also looking at wedge battery’s mate there some tiny 52v 10ah .. 2 of them maybe even for a full suspension but shopping about hard to tell what’s genuine 🤔
Looks excellent. How strong are the drop outs on the front fork? Would be good to do a test to failure. Expensive though… Lock the front wheel and turn up the throttle until it rips the forks. Wonder how much they would take?

Website for the brakes? They look cool. When it comes to those prices, It makes you wonder if Surron would just be easier. It won't beat the acceleration of that thing and very cool build. Would be nice if you get to test CYC X1 gen 4 as suppose to be king of mid drives but also double price of something like BBSHD. Also would that battery be any good for a backpack? It might fit my Kona Stinky for when I upgrade BBSHD and want to build a hub drive but there's no chance will fit the frame lol.

Would those battery cables really be adequate to sustain 100 amps of current? I reckon they might get a bit melty if full power was maintained for long.
Best hope you have a good ground between each controller to ensure no one controller misreads throttle input. you'll have unintended acceleration and it'll be real bad with 6000w at it's disposal.
Does adding all that extra weight exceed the weight limit of the frame. Because bikes come with a max rider weight. Also the headsets bearings are taking the extra load of the weight when braking. Is this bike safe ?.
Hi, great build! try some black jubilee clips for mounting the battery. It would be much tidier than cable ties (and stronger). Use a bit of old inner tube cut into rings to protect the frame from scratching before you fit them... 👍
