I am truly happy to have stumbled across your videos. I thought I was doing it right (watched videos, etc) and couldn't figure out for the life of me why my child cried when the lap belt was digging into her thigh area. Here I am thinking its because she is too slim. I can't thank you enough for the work that you're doing. Please don't ever take these videos down from YT.

Thank you for this video! Would be safer to use booster seat with these vests for a 3yr old toddler or is it safer without a thing extra?

The ONLY booster that can be used with the RideSafer vest is the TravelSmarter booster from the same manufacturer: it cannot be used with any other booster whatsoever! It is optional, my biggest concern for the 3 year old is their maturity it sit correctly for the entire ride. There is more freedom of movement in the vest than in a harnessed seat, for a child that young I would advise a responsible adult to sit in the back with him to monitor him.

Is tether optional or do I have to use it? Thank you for your video

@@TheCrunkFamily tether is optional when the vest is used with a lap-shoulder belt, but highly recommended. If you are using the vest with a younger child or a child who may sleep on the drive, I would recommend the tether for additional restraint!

Can my 22 months old use this? I am going on vacation to Europe and I am in need of seatbelt for my toddler. Please help a sis out❤❤❤

Your child is not old enough to use this restraint! I would recommend finding a lightweight harnessed car seat to bring with you.

@@countrykidscarseatsafety thank you for taking time to reply to my comment. Do you have any car seat recommendation for 22 months old?

The Evenflo Maestro is under 10 pounds, narrow, and has cup holders. We have traveled with two for our Boys, on planes too, and bought straps to attach them to the front of our carry-ons. Good luck!!

The belt path on the bottom is supposed to be across her lap (across her legs). Also you're not suppose to lock the belt. Please don't advertise and give incorrect and potentially dangerous information.

Hi there! As a CPST I would not dream of giving unsafe or incorrect information. The vest is across her lap for most of the video (except the part where I am demonstrating to caregivers what NOT to do with it), and the manufacturer of the vest actually does permit the seatbelt to be locked if desired! Locking the belt is optional, but can be beneficial for some children who have a hard time staying in place.

@countrykidscarseatsafety I was watching your video to make sure I was doing it right and somehow this comment went on your video instead of the one it was meant for where she was doing it completely wrong. Sorry about that! Thanks for the video and the work you do!

Maybe we stuttered, or lost our balance leaning into the car, or the dog barked, or the rooster crowed, or we had to pause to help our kids with something, so we can’t do one continuous take. Maybe we’re humans providing free of charge safety information to the public, so we don’t have access to professional editing. Maybe some thoughts need to stay inside our brains because they’re not kind or necessary. 😊
