To everyone commenting this is helpful for children with behavioral conditions. Everyone is saying it's unsafe but imagine a child that keeps getting out of a normal seat belt due to a mental condition. That is where it makes it much safer for the child and the driver.

My son hated this thing. And if you’ll notice, the metal clips are right behind the kids head. He, nor my son, can even rest his head back comfortably.

My younger one used it for a year and didn't complain about comfort thankfully! On the latest version, the metal clips on the shoulders (to attach the top tether) are now covered in fabric to alleviate those concerns. Hope this helps!

Thia ia not a proper install. As the tether is only needed if its a lap belt. If ita lap and shoulder there ia no need for tje tether

Not according the the user manual. The top tether strap is optional for a lap shoulder belt combo.

Seems like a lot of work just to buckle a kid into a car.

This is great until your car goes off the road and into a body of water. Or in a fire emergency. They cant get him out quickly enough. This just seems so extra and unsafe!

Because getting a kid out of a traditional seat is so much easier, right? You literally unbuckle the buckle and rip the seatbelt out of the guides of the vest.

In my opinion, this is really uncomfortable and unsafe, please take my advice and just use a regular car seat, its much more safe and comfortable. Plus, it takes so long to strap your kid in when , with a normal car seat you can just buckle your kid in and be on your way. And there is zero head protection AT ALL, what a horrible product.
