Absolutely worked!! The hardest part was getting the front panel back on, but if you remove the front plate and put the lid on first, it pops in no problem. Thank you so much for this video, i tried all the other syncing tricks to no avail but took a chance ordering the card from Amazon for around 12$ Canadian and so happy i did- cheers!
You sr are the man, you are the only guy on yt that actually find the solution to this nightmare issue that has been plaguing the Xbox One since 2013. Thank you so much.
Genius.....you fixed an issue I had for a long time. Hats off to you sir. Once I received my Bluetooth mod/card which goes very cheap on eBay, It took no more than 5 mins to replace and can now actually unplug my controller without it turning off. Thank you
Tried to sync my new controller with a USB cord that didn't work, tried with the sync buttons that didn't work, I all but gave up hope until I found this gentlemen he was right on the money. Thank you for the help👍👍👍
Just saved a couple hundred dollars, was about to buy our son a new Xbox! Ordered the replacement wifi card on eBay, installed it and the problem has gone away! Yes, taking the case off and lining it up to put back on took some time and patience, but it was totally worth it! Thank you!
+lp120791 glad to hear, it's such a nice feeling to know it's fixed isn't it? I spent ages looking for help on how to fix mine to always find dead ends or shit advice. Glad it's working for ya bud.
The fix!!! Thanks a lot man. Ordered the part ' it did the trick. Microsoft needs to get their ish together. This is a common cheap problem that should be fixed
OH THANK GOD FOR THIS VIDEO! I SPENT 2 AND A HALF YEARS WITH PROBLEM! EVEN THOUGH IT NEVER WORKED, I TRIED TO PLAY EVERY DAY FOR THE PAST 2 AND A HALF DAMM YEARS THAT WERE HELL ON EARTH! Thank You For This Video!
Saved me from sending in my Xbox. Thought this issue was controller related for the longest and decided to go wired. The hardest thing about this video was literally putting the front panel back on.
**BEFORE YOU DO ALL THIS*** Hard reset your console by turning on the Xbox, then press and hold the Xbox power button on the console until the system shuts off. Wait at least 10-15 seconds then turn back on the console. See if this fixes it first before spending money and voiding your warranty!
Man if you don't go somewhere with your Microsoft/Xbox Tech Support knowledge. Like we haven't read that same solution millions of times. It's Xbox go to solution for every damn thing.
I have to say this video sorted my problems ! I cannot thank you enough ! i have literally had this problem for about a year and tried every other fix from MS support which was useless. The hardest thing about this was getting the case off - i see why you skipped it! :P
These problems annoy me so much. I'm having a big issue with my controllers randomly disconnecting and even a cord won't work, but randomly works when I plug in external storage. It's like my xbox has decided to function in every way that doesn't revolve around me being allowed to actually use it. The reason I spend a solid price on the consoles and controllers is that I'm kind of going into it with the thought in mind that Microsoft has a functional console that shouldn't break at some crucial junction at any point. But Xbox 360 and Xbox One have both suprised me in that they come with the ability to have random errors that are now up to me to fix. I've never made a computer, I'm not the guy who likes having to fix mechanical errors because they happen on suprise once a year. I'm sure putting in a new WIFI card is an easy concept, but taking apart my xbox to do that is something that just makes me edgy about it, like why can't Microsoft make a product that doesn't require the user to fix all of its problems. I've had to go inside my Xbox 360 multiple times because parts of its system decide its having a bad day. My Xbox 360 won't work anymore unless I have a disc inside the disc tray at all times, like wtf that's oddly specific. I've had to take off all the plastic covering to isolate that inner disc tray portion just so I can stick a paper clip into it to pop it open. Xbox wasn't going to fix my simple disc tray problem, so they got me to do their work instead. Now the same bullshit is happening. In my opinion, the nature to this whole controller unsyncing problem is just pointless, this problem had no reason to exist, it just so happens to exist now and xbox still knows they sold you that xbox and if you want it fixed that'll be $130 thankyou very much! Was a controller not invented to have a easy connection to a console, its been like that ever since consoles had a controller. Now Xbox is all about the WIFI, they decided screw it, we want controller updates to be better so we'll run that shit on WIFI. If your WIFI card aint great, tough shit your controller won't work either because our consoles revolves around WIFI now. The weirdest part about my issue I'm having right now is that it happened when I was in a middle of an Xbox live party. Randomly the voices got choppy and separated into parts where I could faintly hear people and then it would get all static. It was strangely demonic almost as if a presence had tooken away my connection. The voices slowely got further away from eachother as the white noise grew louder. Eventually it just randomly says that my controller is no disconnected while I still remain with full internet connection, and that was 4 days ago. No solution has worked ever since. It pisses me off now, that I have to go out of my way again and fix this shit myself, playing bob the builder with my xbox always makes me assume I'll mess it up even more, I just want my xbox to work as a basic console. I remember when either syncing a controller or plugging it in meant that you were connected and it was literally that simple. Now there's so many things that rely only off of internet connections that the console will fail in so many ways if the WIFI just so happens to fail aswell. Mind you I've had another problem that aggrevated me more. I once got a 1TB Seagate external harddrive and started downloading my newest game onto it. That was going as planned until games on my internal storage asked to be updated. I made one very understandable mistake, where i applied an update while having my external storage selected as the save device. Suddenly my additional content that I installed on my internal storage had to be erased, for what reason, I Have NOT A CLUE. I had to spend 3 days re installing every Call of Duty Map Pack ever made individually, because my Xbox assumed that rather then sharing information from the internal and external storage, that a game and its additional content needs to be on just one type of storage and you'll be forced to restart the installation process if you happen to apply one update on the storage device its not intended for. Isn't that a big F*CK You. Lastly, my Xbox has had trouble installing games to their entirety. Alot of my games suffer from bugs that I assume don't actually apply to most other people who play the game. For example, in Black Ops 3, If I play offline multiplayer, my game restarts at some point when I get over 200 kills. A couple times my black ops 3 suffered lag and connection lost during an offline local match, then it would crash. How The F*ck can you lag out of a local match that you're playing by yourself?? Doesn't make sense. THE PROBLEMS THAT XBOX'S HAVE NEVER MAKE SENSE!!
I approve this rant. These are the things all Xbox players who get bad consoles (which is a whole lot of them) feel about Xbox. I don't want to build a PC. I want to play games with friends. Why the fuck do I need to all of a sudden become Bob the Builder and break apart my Xbox to replace a wifi card? This is so pathetic. Xbox is not as good as it should and can be.
Gone through three Xbox’s in a year all from different issues and one of them was this... but nothing worked bought two new WiFi cards still didn’t work and I know a lot about the Xbox as I used to fix them for people but two of the times parts of the Xbox were fried even though I don’t play a lot and it’s always in a cool room
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I quit playing xbox for around 6 months because of this problem and even sent my console to a company to take a look at it, they charged us £60 (which would include any fixes) but they couldn't find jack shit! AND STILL TOOK OUR MONEY!! We tried a lot more things and ended up spending about £100. Then I found this GOD of a video (and channel :D ) and did these steps and it worked! SO I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH!!
Hey, does anyone know what the little magical piece at 2:05 to 2:18 is called or where I can get it? My xbox is missing it somehow, I am in Canada and looking for canadian sellers if possible
Thanks a lot. This really helped me out! Great video, this is just awesome. It worked, Microsoft support kept saying its a software issue or that other electronic devices cause a problem with the connection. Just put in the new wifi card and everything works well!
thank for this mate, i had this for like 8 months. when i opend my xbox, all i had to do is put the cable back on the wifi bluethoot card, because is wasn't plugged in on the card. so easy shit thnaks keep up the good work that microsoft isnt telling us.
It's worth mentioning to unclip the front panel ribbon as you're taking the top of the case off, they're easily snapped. Pair of tweezers or small fingers, slide the cream plastic piece to the side & pull it out. Extra few minutes but worth not having to replace another part. Great video though.
I just found your video and ive been having this problem for like 3 weeks amd i thought it was the controller and im so glad i found you thank you very much🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you very much for the help. This video showed me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. It worked for me . Microsoft wanted 150 dollars to fix the problem, when the part cost 20 dollars and the job took less than 20 minutes. So thanks again for the help I really appreciate it.
This issue has been happening to me since i got my xbox. December 26th, 2013. I took it in to get repaired by the official xbox team and they didn’t fix it at all. I’m so glad i found this video 8 Years later.
So for example, my wifi is cool but every controller i connect to my console disconnects after a little while, would you recommend to disconnect the wifi card and reconnect it before buying a new one?
Thanks for this, you are right about everwhere else just talking about software and updates etc, this was what i suspected but you confirmed it for me, would have been worth mentioning being carful about the front ribbon tho, nearly tore mine lol!
Thanks for this video. I just installed a used one from EBay in my Xbox One and so far so good! Everything booted right up with the controller. I don’t wanna jinx it but I think this fixed my problem!
If the button to sync the control that it’s in the side of the console doesn’t work too, will this fix it? (I also have the issue of my controller disconnecting too)
Thx for the video! BTW be carefull with the ribbon! in second place first try to move a little bit the cable from the Wifi Card and press it a little (don't buy the new card yet) i did that and it works fine for me, couldn't play any game without disconnecting every 30 seconds haha.
i just needed to resync my controller using a wire to fix my controller syncing issue. hardwiring the controller to the console also fixed my headset problem ( sound cracking and dropping in and out). Fyi you don't have to keep the controller always hardwired.
Finally found a video with the exact same problem I had. Just received and replaced wifi card and it's fixed ! Just want to add when removing the case the ribbon on the front popped off pretty easy while moving around , so just be careful not to tear it. Fortunately I just reattached it easy enough.
I am still having issues after following this. Worked for about a week and now it’s started disconnecting again. Even bought a new wi-fi board with a new wi-fi cable and I’m still having problems with the connection. Have I bought a bad wi-fi board or is there anything else it could be? Tried multiple controllers and tried everything I can find online.
I'm in the same boat with my OG X1. I've replaced the wifi card and it did not work for me. Thinking I had bought a bad one I purchased another only to find it did not solve the issue either. The only other things I can think to do is to replace the RF board at the front of the console or to try a factory reset. There's 2 options with the factory reset. The 1st resets the console to factory settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps will be deleted. The 2nd option resets the OS without deleting games or apps. I've got an X1X also so I haven't messed with the OG X1 anymore after the 2nd wifi card didn't work.
Thanks a lot for the help Turns out I took it for a trip but the little cable got disconnected some how and I had to connect it again, I didn’t have much trouble with that, only the part where you had to put it back. I looked like an idiot for an hour trying to put the top back but you didn’t tell us that you had to disconnect the front part of the top piece, so when I gave up I had to search another video up and do it there, some things unclear but hopefully it has fully fixed my problem, if no other solution has worked, I recommend you check the WiFi card out first and if it is totally broken, then buy a new one.
Thank you, thank you, thank you sooooo much for this video. Microsoft “support” gave me BS solutions followed by telling me to send it in for 160 bucks since it is out of warranty. I told them I’d rather save the money and buy a PS4. A local guy told me 80 bucks. I saw this video and bought the card for 10 dollars off of eBay and fixed it myself. My Xbox is in the basement and now I able to have a connection from the second floor of my house! Thanks for your help when Microsoft, Best Buy, and local computer store let me down.
It was a great feeling. Although I will say that there was one thing that you missed. The issue when you take the case off, you have to be careful with the green ribbon on the front of the console in not disconnecting it. You also be careful not to disconnect the ribbon when you put everything back together. That causes the power to disconnect. It happened to me and I had a tiny anxiety attack lol. I eventually figured it out. It’s a slight oversight in a brilliant video. Thanks again!
One thing that worked for me is if you can get your controller to sync for a moment try going to settings, system, console info, reset console and reset and keep my games & apps. Must use the controller your having issues with for all reset steps. (make sure you know all your system passwords and app passwords before doing this)
And Microsoft wants you to pay 115 or 135 dollars just to do this quick fix. Glad that this fix doesn't involve: A. Resetting your modem/router B. Rebooting your Xbox C. Changing internet settings D. Hitting your Xbox with a club like a caveman because that usually solves everything😆
I did it exactly the same the issue is still there my Xbox won’t give me my disc back and I had to go out to get an 8 screw driver the delivery was 2 weeks late and it’s done nothing but cost me money
I know what you did. You detached the green ribbon from the front of the console. It connects to a tan connector. I did it too when I pulled the case off. He doesn’t warn us in the video to be careful of that but it is easily reconnectable. Just be careful when you put the case back on because it may disconnect. What I did was turn it on as I was putting everything back together. That way you know when you disconnected it. Hope this help you and anyone else with this problem.
Can someone help me? I’m going through the same problem but instead of using a wireless controller can I buy a wired one or will it still drop the connection?
your idea is good but my idea is better i have the same issue and i go mad when my controller disconnect from the xbox before 1week i asked xbox support and they told me to turn of the xbox and the wifi for 30 sec try this if it didnt work try this go to setting👉System👉My xbox or info or any thing like this 😊👉reset👉reset but keep my games and apps 👉put your info after doing this steps do the first step and it will work sorry for my bad english like if this was helpful
I have been looking for a video that would solve my 🎮 connection issues for over a year I gave up and wired up my controller after a yr an some I kept riping my cable off the controller by accident it didn't work anymore so I tried to go wireless again and then my friend I found this video and everything changed thankyou so much
so i am having this issue, but with only one controller. my wifes controller is working just fine, but mine keeps crapping out. any ideas? must not be the wifi card in the console because the other controller works fine
Greetings, Dude my xbox one fat of the year 2015 sometimes desynchronized the control, but now I no longer detect Wi-Fi networks, do you think changing the antenna is fixed?
I have the exact same problem. Got a 2nd hand chip from Amazon. They are really hard to find now in Australia. Installed and was ok for day then started disconnecting again. And randomly. 5 times in a min. Then didn't do it for 30 min. Then again. What are the odds I got a faulty chip? Have been reading about interference with the signal but I haven't changed anything in my home. This is so frustrating.
Same happened to me. Wifi kept disconnecting, ordered a used wifi card, still disconnects and im pretty sure a brand new wifi card is near impossible to get anyways now
@@WaterDrinker00001 I've ordered a different card from a different location just incase the one the other people sent was also faulty. Seems many people have the issue fixed with a 2nd hand card. If this one fails will just end up getting a long cord for the controller (sigh) 😔
@@WaterDrinker00001 oh ok. Yeah that's rare. The controller and internet both stop working at the same time when the controller disconnects in all the cases I've seen. The controller is the pain for me. I can run an ethernet cable for internet. Just don't want the cable for the controller running across the floor.
I've been losing the rag with Xbox couldn't find anything on Google other than update the controllers do this an that load of bollocks. Seen this vid today and I'm impatiently waiting for my new WiFi card to be delivered lol Cheers bud
Do all your pads flash and not connect? As one of my pads will flash constantly and not connect no matter what. it stops flashing with a usb and will work for a brief couple of seconds and then none of the buttons will work other than the home button which stays lit like normal I’ll then unplug the usb and it will flash trying connect. Yet my other pad is fine? Hope you can help! As don’t fancy buying a WiFi card if it’s the pad
Is this card only responsible for the controllers or for the Wi-Fi connection as well? My Xbox cannot connect to the network but the controllers are working perfectly
My sync button makes a sound when I press it, but console wont flash and sync with controller, is it the wifi card I should replace or the rf module on the front ?
nice vid mate :) nice fix :) hey have you tried a guitar pick fr not doing dents on the plastic when opening ?I believe it may would worked that Stanley was shap there:) hope you are well mate and family :) and good to see your new place!!
I have the same issue with my controllers on my Xbox One X, but it happens even when it's wired (with or without the batteries/packs installed). Changing the wi-fi card wouldn't have any effect if I'm having the "controller disconnected" issue when using a cable connection, correct?
question, my contollers do the same thing, and i have purchased 4 different ones, but it does it too when they are connected by usb, even a wired controller i purchased.. is it still the same issue
+ken chris I can't remember if mine did that or not. If the USB is only charging the controller it "could" still be using the wifi to send the signal, hence why the problem continues. But sadly I can't remember If mine had issue on USB.
just wanted to let you know, that the new wifi card fixed sll the issues, including losing synced while wired. Thank you for your video relieved a HUGe headache lol
Just did this I’ll see if it helps my controller disconnecting issue.A helpful tip when putting it back together it is easier to separate the front panel and the top lid and put the top on and then put the front on. It will save you a lot of time trust me.
I think when the WiFi card becomes fucked, the controller reverts to using infrared only to connect. Because my controller won't work unless it's pointed DIRECTLY at the console, any higher or lower or to the left or to the right it will disconnect. Also disconnects if anything gets in front. Pretty sure that's not how it's supposed to work right?
How do you know it's not the rf module board? My connection is fine but I can only sync a controller after a hard reset and if I unplug it from the console it unsyncs.
i have the same issue also, wifi is alright, but in wireless mode it syncs only when its like 10 cm from the rf module board and the sync button isnt working also so yeah, i wonder if i should order the wifi board or the front rf panel, how did you fix your's
Great video, but mine will do it, then I do a complete power cycle and It won't do it for like 2 days. Also I have done a manual update and it didn't disconnect for 2 solid weeks. Would it still be the wifi card, cause I'm inclined to believe its a software issue that can be fixed
+Bob Tad I would guess is the card at the fault, so you would only need to swap the card and leave the original cables as they are. And just connect the new card to the preexisting cables.
Hi mate, I've tried to replace with 2 new wifi cards and its still disconnecting. Do you think that it could be the bit that the card connects into thats the problem?
Does it still work because ive had this problem for over a week and I have the elite controller (white) and I have ordered a new Wi-Fi card well second hand 1, please !st me know if the problem wasn't the card.
Can anyone tell me if this same card is used on the xbox one s 1 tb (white) model too? I am having similar issues and would like to attempt the same thing
Hey jurassicjunkie. I replaced my wifi card and my sync button and controllers worked perfectly for a day. Then the problems started all over again. Could something be frying my wifi card in my xbox? Or possible bad RF? Just seeing if you have any suggestions. thanks again
Mine is the controller. Tried it on 3 different consoles. Wont stay connected. Do you know which part of the controller handles syncing ? Top board or bottom board? I dont mind replacing it. I just want to make sure I replace the correct one.
Yeah I have the same flipping problem everyone keep saying that it might be your wifi but It can't as everyone else's tech works with the wifi but not my xbox. We have also tried a bunch of different wifi companies and it still has the same flipping problem
And the problem is I can be playing with my friends and it just Randomly drops from the wifi and all my friends xboxs and there is nothing on TH-cam or anywhere
My Xbox was disconnecting from both the controller and the internet. Replacing the WiFi card fixed my problem, thank you so much
Dane Dorsey same here it literally makes the Xbox unplayable
Same. Now I have a $80 WiFi extender just chillin in my room that I don’t need anymore.
Absolutely worked!! The hardest part was getting the front panel back on, but if you remove the front plate and put the lid on first, it pops in no problem. Most chaotic yet useful video

I havnt tried this yet but i have much faith in your solution. Microsoft "troubleshooting" is a f'ing joke
for anyone wondering about the screws you'll need a torx screw driver size t-8
Ryan Stewart ur a blessing
Anyone who doesn’t have that size screw driver I just used a small pair of Pliers
Ryan Stewart thanks
Thanks man

Eric Sanford don’t fix shit. It’s the damn shitty card. I replaced my card and worked great and now 6 months later I’m having the same issue again
You don't actually void any warranty. It's against the law.
motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/ne9qdq/warranty-void-if-removed-stickers-illegal-ftc
Thank you so much it worked
Eric Sanford i just did that it worked thanks
Thank you. Fixed my problem for $11 instead of $150. I can't thank you enough. Excellent video.
+Johnpeter I'm glad it helped you out.
I have to say this video sorted my problems ! I cannot thank you enough !
i have literally had this problem for about a year and tried every other fix from MS support which was useless.
The hardest thing about this was getting the case off - i see why you skipped it! :P
what kind of scre driver did you use to take off the wifif carf... my wifi card has like a weird star shaped screw and idk which scrrw to usr
Daniel Argueta there called torx screwdrivers think its either a T10 or T8 for the wifi card
Ashley Jones isn't the Wi-Fi board part of the main motherboard?
Ashley Jones same 2 years
Hardest part for me was to get the case perfectly back on.

This man MUST be the second coming of Newton. There is no way a regular human is this genius.
+n00body88 glad to hear it dude.
thank for this mate, i had this for like 8 months. when i opend my xbox, all i had to do is put the cable back on the wifi bluethoot card, because is wasn't plugged in on the card. so easy shit thnaks keep up the good work that microsoft isnt telling us.
I really needed this video was checking all other videos until I found this one thank you so much
It's worth mentioning to unclip the front panel ribbon as you're taking the top of the case off, they're easily snapped.
Glad it fixed it. I know the pain of not understanding how to fix it. Took me months to work out the problem. And had to share it
Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for this tutorial as it finally fixed my controller connectivity issue.
Glad it has. Nothing worse than not knowing what the problem is.
Sell it on ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This guy is god lolol
This issue has been happening to me since i got my xbox. December 26th, 2013. I took it in to get repaired by the official xbox team and they didn’t fix it at all. I’m so glad i found this video 8 Years later.
At 2:06 what is the thing underneath the sunc button I need one of those
I found that by taking the casing off and simply disconnecting the wires from the WiFi card and reconnecting them fixed the issue
So for example, my wifi is cool but every controller i connect to my console disconnects after a little while, would you recommend to disconnect the wifi card and reconnect it before buying a new one?
@@REVESST i mean you could
@@niceleverace already tried, didn't work, I'm considering to build a PC xD
@@REVESST ha allright man. Have a good one
@@REVESST best thing you could do tbh.
Very helpful thank you. Mine's now fixed - the only thing I did differently was split off the front to make reassembly easier.
Watching this video makes me realize that we need another video of an angry jurassic junkie destroying something video game related.
lmao, I have the switch in a month. If that isn't my cup of tea its going out the window... on fire
If the button to sync the control that it’s in the side of the console doesn’t work too, will this fix it? (I also have the issue of my controller disconnecting too)
I’ve been looking for this video for 2 years
Thx for the video! BTW be carefull with the ribbon! in second place first try to move a little bit the cable from the Wifi Card and press it a little (don't buy the new card yet) i did that and it works fine for me, couldn't play any game without disconnecting every 30 seconds haha.
And also remove the dust that can be there.
Just did this yesterday! Awesome and easy fix!!!! Saved me $200!!! Thank you
i just needed to resync my controller using a wire to fix my controller syncing issue. hardwiring the controller to the console also fixed my headset problem ( sound cracking and dropping in and out). Fyi you don't have to keep the controller always hardwired.
This helped me out thank you and just as a side not to everyone if you pull off the faceplate remember to reattach the ribbon cable.
Thanks a lot for the help
Turns out I took it for a trip but the little cable got disconnected some how and I had to connect it again, I didn’t have much trouble with that, only the part where you had to put it back.
I'm glad to hear it worked. Also isn't it a great feeling to finally get it fixed. It drove me nuts when I had this issue
(make sure you know all your system passwords and app passwords before doing this)
Legend. Loving the northern accent too. Where did you get the WiFi card?
Amazon
And Microsoft wants you to pay 115 or 135 dollars just to do this quick fix. Glad that this fix doesn't involve:
A. Resetting your modem/router
B. Rebooting your Xbox
C. Changing internet settings
D. Hitting your Xbox with a club like a caveman because that usually solves everything😆
Thanks for the help! Replaced mine yesterday.
I did it exactly the same the issue is still there my Xbox won’t give me my disc back and I had to go out to get an 8 screw driver the delivery was 2 weeks late and it’s done nothing but cost me money
What acre driver do you use
does this also fix wifi disconnecting aswell because i got both of the problems
now my xbox won't turn on
Dumbass
Because you did a stupid thing
I know what you did. You detached the green ribbon from the front of the console. It connects to a tan connector. I did it too when I pulled the case off. He doesn’t warn us in the video to be careful of that but it is easily reconnectable. Just be careful when you put the case back on because it may disconnect. What I did was turn it on as I was putting everything back together. That way you know when you disconnected it.
Hope this help you and anyone else with this problem.
Nicholas Harris the hell u did?😂😂😂
Ziad Elhady thx for the warning
Can someone help me? I’m going through the same problem but instead of using a wireless controller can I buy a wired one or will it still drop the connection?
A weird controller will not have this problem
Wired * oops
Luke Capra thank u so much!
Just a Mexican Passing what wired controller are out buying?
U can literally buy the part to fix it for cheaper
your idea is good but my idea is better i have the same issue
and i go mad when my controller disconnect from the xbox
before 1week i asked xbox support and they told me to turn of the xbox and the wifi for 30 sec try this if it didnt work try this go to setting👉System👉My xbox or info or any thing like this 😊👉reset👉reset but keep my games and apps 👉put your info after doing this steps do the first step and it will work
sorry for my bad english
like if this was helpful
PewDie Pie Thanks a a lot a man your a life savior
It worked thx
It helped me, at least for now. Thank you
I have been looking for a video that would solve my 🎮 connection issues for over a year I gave up and wired up my controller after a yr an some I kept riping my cable off the controller by accident it didn't work anymore so I tried to go wireless again and then my friend I found this video and everything changed thankyou so much
so i am having this issue, but with only one controller. my wifes controller is working just fine, but mine keeps crapping out. any ideas? must not be the wifi card in the console because the other controller works fine
same problem here -it's just one of our controllers & i can't figure it out i've watched so many videos
Epic video mate you saved me a ton of money on two new controllers mine keeps on dropping the controllers and the WiFi gona try this first many thanks
I think this is the same problem I am having. Would yours disconnect if you put your hand in front of it?
Thanks a lot. This fixed my Xbox problem and saved $115 in diagnostic fee from Microsoft.
Does it matter by the console I have an old Xbox One I don't use but can I put that Wifi card in my Xbox One S?
How can i take this out at 2:35?
@@dallascowboy23 personally my controller isnt the issue its the wifi connection thats failed on both cards I got
Seen this vid today and I'm impatiently waiting for my new WiFi card to be delivered lol
Cheers bud
What model do we need to get.
Could u post a U.S link plz
Just click on the link and then go to your url and replace uk to us
This was so helpful! Sorted it right out 😎👌🏽 cheers pal
Glad it helped
Can't thank you enough for this video bro, it worked like a charm for me.
+Abdiel Medina glad to hear it.
nice vid mate :) nice fix :) hey have you tried a guitar pick fr not doing dents on the plastic when opening ?I believe it may would worked that Stanley was shap there:) hope you are well mate and family :) and good to see your new place!!
Good point, I had a pick in a box beside me as well
Just fitted my new card works like a dream I walked 15ft away and still connected thank you.
Glad it fixed it. It’s such a nice feeling to have finally fixed the problem.
will this work on a one x that doesn't go in sync mode to even try and pair with your controller ?
hey there, so which millimetre precision screwdriver you used? I've got it open but none of my screwdrivers would fit 😭
use a small flat head that fits the groove
APPOINTED TIMES Thanks I ended up borrowing it from a friend and my xbox is all good now!
@@regisbagas784 lol ull know next time.
I have the same issue with my controllers on my Xbox One X, but it happens even when it's wired (with or without the batteries/packs installed). Changing the wi-fi card wouldn't have any effect if I'm having the "controller disconnected" issue when using a cable connection, correct?
Matt Mason no the controller still needs the WiFi card to make a connection. Ethernet wouldn't do anything
question, my contollers do the same thing, and i have purchased 4 different ones, but it does it too when they are connected by usb, even a wired controller i purchased.. is it still the same issue
+ken chris I can't remember if mine did that or not. If the USB is only charging the controller it "could" still be using the wifi to send the signal, hence why the problem continues. But sadly I can't remember If mine had issue on USB.
just ordered one so we will find out for sure lol. thanks for your video i actually broke a controller already from throwing it had gotten so mad lol
+ken chris Lol, I know that feeling. Let me know if it fixes it, so if anyone else has this problem I can reply telling them if it also effects usb.
just wanted to let you know, that the new wifi card fixed sll the issues, including losing synced while wired. Thank you for your video relieved a HUGe headache lol
+ken chris great stuff dude. Glad to hear it.
Just did this I’ll see if it helps my controller disconnecting issue.A helpful tip when putting it back together it is easier to separate the front panel and the top lid and put the top on and then put the front on. It will save you a lot of time trust me.
I swear TH-cam is life. If it was a physical being I would call him dad!
Thanks you so much for this tutorial! I need to do it myself, plus, your video was actually funny to watch for a tutorial.
+Lucas Dugard glad you found it funny :). I don't think I could do a serious video if I tried.
What kind of screw driver did you use one of my will work
How do you know it's not the rf module board? My connection is fine but I can only sync a controller after a hard reset and if I unplug it from the console it unsyncs.
i have the same issue also, wifi is alright, but in wireless mode it syncs only when its like 10 cm from the rf module board and the sync button isnt working also so yeah, i wonder if i should order the wifi board or the front rf panel, how did you fix your's
Did you have to disconnect the ribbon in the front of thr case?
Great video, but mine will do it, then I do a complete power cycle and It won't do it for like 2 days. Also I have done a manual update and it didn't disconnect for 2 solid weeks. Would it still be the wifi card, cause I'm inclined to believe its a software issue that can be fixed
Hey man, my wireless connection on my Xbox is not working if I were to replace the wifi thing like you did would it work?
Also, do u need to buy a wifi card that includes that blue cable?
+Bob Tad I would guess is the card at the fault, so you would only need to swap the card and leave the original cables as they are. And just connect the new card to the preexisting cables.
jurassicjunkie thanks mate, also I was wondering what size the two screws or like what to use to take em out connecting the wifi card are
Thanks a lot man exact same problem I had step by step everything correct and simply explained
Hi mate, I've tried to replace with 2 new wifi cards and its still disconnecting. Do you think that it could be the bit that the card connects into thats the problem?
It will be the controller wifi chip
Does it still work because ive had this problem for over a week and I have the elite controller (white) and I have ordered a new Wi-Fi card well second hand 1, please !st me know if the problem wasn't the card.
Can anyone tell me if this same card is used on the xbox one s 1 tb (white) model too? I am having similar issues and would like to attempt the same thing
#jurassicjunkie did this problem showed up again?
Hey jurassicjunkie. I replaced my wifi card and my sync button and controllers worked perfectly for a day. Then the problems started all over again. Could something be frying my wifi card in my xbox? Or possible bad RF? Just seeing if you have any suggestions. thanks again
Mine is the controller. Tried it on 3 different consoles. Wont stay connected. Do you know which part of the controller handles syncing ? Top board or bottom board? I dont mind replacing it. I just want to make sure I replace the correct one.
Does it matter what wifi card it is. I replaced my og Xbox one WiFi card and the card I replaced it with is a little different. Does it matter
I e replaced the WiFi card and it still has the same problem. The WiFi also disconnects randomly and did with the last card aswell
The part between 4:09-4:13 is very difficult, and MY xbox is not cutting on. FIX THIS !!!!
Hey is the xbox one and the xbox one slim the same card
This is for sure my problem, thank you so much
