Hate to break it to you. But almost every other supercar brand has made a new car that beats it in the 1/4 mile… mclaren 765lt destroys it. 720s could beat it in good conditions. Ferrari sf90 destroys it. So it doesnt take a lot. And dont come with the excuse that they have more hp. Cuz that defenetly isnt everything in a dragrace.

When you look at the fact that the Rallycross car is a purpose built, race only vehicle, and the GT-R has had work done to it totaling over half its MSRP, while the 911 is out of the box and has a warranty, Porsche has built an astonishing car, and the GT-R is a crazy bargain.
That 992 turbo S never fails to amaze me! The fact that the best time done in the drag race by a rallycross racing EV matches the best time done by a stock 911 Turbo S with such a deficit in power is just amazing.. and it can keep on launching perfectly over and over and over 😀
we are waiting for the hybrid, considering how it rides in the sport mode 918 9.4c which was not made for racing, it rides so fast, but how the 911 will go, which has been being worked on for 50 years, I saw a chela who wrote that a new gtr will come out that will be faster than 911 like last time, but this one since they won’t succeed in my opinion, even considering that there is the fastest train on the Porsche side, that is, Rimac, I’m afraid to imagine how he will go if one person said that millions were invested in 911 to reduce power, what will they succeed this time😨😅
It's impressive how that rally car was holding charge every race and not losing a ton of power..GTR ofcourse had the top end speed advantage with all that HP and that 911 turbo s for stock is madness I mean what if it just had a down pipe and tune would it have possibly won ya know?
You have to respect the gtr though, it's now a 15yr old car which means it was probably designed 20yrs ago (technology, materials ect) and with a few mods it can still beat the best
That 911 turbo has done the quarter mile in 10.1sec also. For a standard car with the least amount of power and to come that close i would pick the porsche any day of the week.... if I could afford it that is😊

I remember Matt doing Drag race multiple times in the 992 Turbo S and managed to cross the line in 10.1 seconds, so 10.4 wasn't the greatest it could do.

The more I see the 911, the more I think that at its price point it's quite a bargain. It can be comfortable and silent, a day to day car without any compromise or a serious weapon in the right hands. And I'm referring to the more "normal" 911.2 basic edition. A 4S or a 4 GTS are -my opinion- perfect cars.
Very good race, but i am bias as i have a 800whp gtr. The JM signature build that is on the gtr on pump fuel takes the win. Launching is always an issue, the 911 is epic at Launch, hence its great times. 1100 is normally the race fuel map. So if on 99 will be 1000. Most gtrs are set up on syvecs and will be set for soft Launch as it's hard to get good traction on this surface. I have fully built box and sending it quite hard nets me a 10.2 ( a 9 soon on same type if surface). The point is great upgrade for 45k
@@fairuzraz2468, that's the first tuned reliable GTR that managed to race till the end. That Turbo S will drive daily and you can launch it over and over without breaking. The low mileage on the GTR should tell you many things. You drive it, you break it. Ez LE: I'd take the Porsche any day, any season, even if it's for city, track or Autobahn. The ride quality, the performance, reliability, it's 10 fold over any GTR
Turbo S performance is always impressive, incredible car. That being said… -Turbo S seems closer to 700hp than 650. -That GTR seems closer to 900hp than 1100.
What makes the difference is the porsche uses far more advanced software and hardward so it can get the power down allot faster and change gear quicker and cleaner

Your 100% correct the way the porsche makes the most out of ever HP with is super efficient gearbox and turbos makes it impossible to beat with less than 1000hp

That Porsche is a beast of a car, another 70-100bhp and it does the '1100bhp GTR' over the 1/4 without a fuss. A proper masterclass of engineering from Porsche.
The gtr has been around for 15years and was built to beat the 997, the fact the platform can still compete with the fastest cars still shows how far ahead Nissan was
1100 hp GTR if you don't have the proper tires, you can't get the power to the ground. Surely the GTR did not have the proper tires, if it did, it'll demolish the Porshe and the Eletric car by Semi Truck lengths. Comon sense there Anthony.
@@swift2117 it's prob 800-900 at 1100 hp it would easily gap both of those cars. Considering a m5 comp with 1000 hp does a 9.8 a 1100 hp lighter gtr is 100% going to be faster. On top of that the car did not have much pull on the 1/2 mile which tells me it's def not 1100 hp

I think it does make 1000 hp,but if you look at it,it look like a body kit+ wheels from AliExpress,im sure the suspension is gargabe as well....It's a bad tunning overall
I think is more plausible that the Porsche it doesn’t have just 650hp from factory like Porsche say. I bet that if you put a Porsche on a dyno it will come back with something between 700/800 hp

If I remember well....in an earlier video the 911 did a quarter mile in 10.1 secs....it keeps up with these tubes machine....what a gem of a supercar.....also wud like to see the GTR and the Rally Cross car cream a Ferrari....

I remember the 911 992 did a quiter mile run at 10 seconds flat on Carwow, so it is faster than the rally car! What a feat of engineering. Absolutely loving the 911.
Don't forget that the only way to say with any level of certainty that a car is faster than another is to race it on the same day on the same track at the same time. Even then there are variables at play. But yeah...the Turbo S is just insane. Clearly punches way above its class, and does so with poise. One of my favorite cars right now.
Stock Porsche was amazing, be my choice out of the 3 cars for sure, great piece of engineering from Porsche, be even better without the soft limiter though, Porsche in green colour looks amazing 😍👌👌👌

I felt like that rallycross EV was quite slow on the start (in comparison to a petrol rallycross). But that rolling start made all the difference and the EV suddenly made sense ;-)
A fully built GTR? You guys have such slow GTRs. There are street driven 2000+hp GTRs. Even up to 2500hp. At that point no modded or built porsche can keep up. Lol.

I love when tuned cars run against the Turbo S. It just goes to show you that if most any high-performance car wants to have a chance at winning a drag race against this car, it needs to be tuned to output more HP - sometimes considerably more. I've said it before and I'll say it again - the fact that highly-tuned cars that put out way more HP are needed to barely beat a stock Turbo S is STILL a victory for the Porsche. Porsche - There. Is. Still. No. Substitute.
It's very strange how these Gtr times vary. My Gtr is running 1012 hp on Litchfields dyno and it's done a proven 9.86 quarter mile. Some Jm imports have posted 9.6 with 1100 hp and that's a world of difference to 10.2!! Begs the question did that car really have 1100hp and what tyres was it running with spinning its wheels ???
@@Art-Stream With decent tyres it should spin the wheels like that. Mine with cup 2s just grips. Also tyres make a huge difference when stopping and that didnt stop. First thing I did was put decent brakes on and decent tyres
The 911 turbo has always been a really fast car but this newest one has jumped up about 2 leagues in performance over the older cars. Its probably the fastest car in the world until you start going into chirons, Sf90s and stuff with astronomical price tags
Tbf the plaid costs like $75K less and will eat a stock turbo s in the quarter mile. 720s can also be just as quick, but they aren’t as consistent as the turbo.
That electric car is seriously impressive, a lot less over all power than the Nissan but stayed in front a long time until silly speeds. Would be good to have a cockpit video of it to hear the noises and gear changes

You have to respect the gtr though, it's now a 15yr old car which means it was probably designed 20yrs ago (technology, materials ect) and with a few mods it can still beat the best

Standard 911 Turbo S is an amazing car.
The fact it only just get beat by a 1100bhp tuned supercar, and a dedicated, lightweight, rallycross machine is just unreal.

To think that the father of the Porsche designed tanks in WW2 and contributed to the Dogglebug !. What an Engineer thankfully eventually designing something for fun which made his name . I like the 911 but prefer my TVR. Just love living with my Bear !!. One day I'll have a 911 along side my Trevor. Chalk and Cheese but an awesome combination !.

The more I see the 911, the more I think that at its price point it's quite a bargain. It can be comfortable and silent, a day to day car without any compromise or a serious weapon in the right hands. And I'm referring to the more "normal" 911.2 basic edition. A 4S or a 4 GTS are -my opinion- perfect cars.

Any Turbo S is a beast. You literally don’t have to do anything to them. They already come super fast from the factory.
Despite having the least power the Porsche managed to keep up - again Porsche performance is extremely impressive.
And it was rather slow. It has achieved a 10.1s time for 1/4 mile.

You only need 150+ hp extra for electric to beat a stock Turbo S and over 400hp to a GTR.

Very good race, but i am bias as i have a 800whp gtr. The JM signature build that is on the gtr on pump fuel takes the win. Launching is always an issue, the 911 is epic at Launch, hence its great times. 1100 is normally the race fuel map. So if on 99 will be 1000. Most gtrs are set up on syvecs and will be set for soft Launch as it's hard to get good traction on this surface. I have fully built box and sending it quite hard nets me a 10.2 ( a 9 soon on same type if surface). The point is great upgrade for 45k
More like u need Stage 4 turbo upgrade to stand a chance against a Porsche.

LE: I'd take the Porsche any day, any season, even if it's for city, track or Autobahn. The ride quality, the performance, reliability, it's 10 fold over any GTR

That being said…
-Turbo S seems closer to 700hp than 650.
-That GTR seems closer to 900hp than 1100.
What makes the difference is the porsche uses far more advanced software and hardward so it can get the power down allot faster and change gear quicker and cleaner
no a stock turbo s 992 does 1/4 mile in 10.1/10.2 so this is stock 100%

The gtr has been around for 15years and was built to beat the 997, the fact the platform can still compete with the fastest cars still shows how far ahead Nissan was
1100 hp GTR if you don't have the proper tires, you can't get the power to the ground. Surely the GTR did not have the proper tires, if it did, it'll demolish the Porshe and the Eletric car by Semi Truck lengths. Comon sense there Anthony.

It has a shorter gear ratio and a bigger turbo and it's engine is over the back wheels which give's good traction
I think it does make 1000 hp,but if you look at it,it look like a body kit+ wheels from AliExpress,im sure the suspension is gargabe as well....It's a bad tunning overall

I remember the 911 992 did a quiter mile run at 10 seconds flat on Carwow, so it is faster than the rally car! What a feat of engineering. Absolutely loving the 911.
Don't forget that the only way to say with any level of certainty that a car is faster than another is to race it on the same day on the same track at the same time. Even then there are variables at play. But yeah...the Turbo S is just insane. Clearly punches way above its class, and does so with poise. One of my favorite cars right now.

I felt like that rallycross EV was quite slow on the start (in comparison to a petrol rallycross). But that rolling start made all the difference and the EV suddenly made sense ;-)

Modding the Porsche would be less infact and it wouldn’t even need much more than 800bhp with simple mods to beat the gtr, not much more than a tune, exhaust and inter cooler

I love when tuned cars run against the Turbo S. It just goes to show you that if most any high-performance car wants to have a chance at winning a drag race against this car, it needs to be tuned to output more HP - sometimes considerably more.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - the fact that highly-tuned cars that put out way more HP are needed to barely beat a stock Turbo S is STILL a victory for the Porsche.

It's very strange how these Gtr times vary. My Gtr is running 1012 hp on Litchfields dyno and it's done a proven 9.86 quarter mile. Some Jm imports have posted 9.6 with 1100 hp and that's a world of difference to 10.2!! Begs the question did that car really have 1100hp and what tyres was it running with spinning its wheels ???
I doubt Matt has had much experience in the car to get the feel for everything, so that could add a few tenths maybe.
@@Art-Stream With decent tyres it should spin the wheels like that. Mine with cup 2s just grips. Also tyres make a huge difference when stopping and that didnt stop. First thing I did was put decent brakes on and decent tyres
The 911 turbo has always been a really fast car but this newest one has jumped up about 2 leagues in performance over the older cars. Its probably the fastest car in the world until you start going into chirons, Sf90s and stuff with astronomical price tags
Tbf the plaid costs like $75K less and will eat a stock turbo s in the quarter mile. 720s can also be just as quick, but they aren’t as consistent as the turbo.
That electric car is seriously impressive, a lot less over all power than the Nissan but stayed in front a long time until silly speeds.
Would be good to have a cockpit video of it to hear the noises and gear changes
