Thanks Nadine! I always build for function so I tried to get as much functionality in it as possible. I need organization in my life -- for my own sanity!
Wow! 😊 That's great! So good to see a new video from you. Thanks for **not** having background music. Simple and beautiful. Clear and inspiring. No hype 🥰
I've never seen your channel. I have been living in a house I am also working on. This is a fantastic idea to keep organized, but more importantly the mobile work surface. Thanks for the idea!
awesome project (as usual)! for the top, how about an edging made of hardwood (painted to match) that sits 1/8" above the glued down surface. then, you can drop in a piece of hardboard and just let it sit with no fasteners. that way, when it becomes too damaged from use, you can easily lift it out and drop in another piece. and with the size of the top, you can get 2 pieces from a standard 4' x 8' sheet.
This is the first time I’ve seen your channel… Really well thought out workbench. It does exactly what you want, your video was informative and concise and I loved the finished product. Great job! (I also came over from Shoppe nation)
Sandra, absolutely fantastic build!!!! Great video and great to see you back. I was watching and thinking man, I would build this but way bigger, but making it compact enough to roll through doorways is a fantastic idea!! Anxiously awaiting more videos, I wish you the absolute best with both houses, and so glad to be along for the journey with you!!! Until the next one, God bless and Dirty Jersey out!!!
Thanks! I think I'll probably build a bigger one too, once I finally finish this house and get moved out to my new place. I'll have a whole new workshop to outfit! But I needed this small one to keep my sanity as I work on finishing this house.
This was so amazing that I had to build one of my own. Did it exactly the same, except I added doors to cover the craftsman drawers so they wouldn't fall out, and I used 8 inch pneumatic wheels since it will be on gravel or grass a lot in my situation; needed offroad capabilities haha. Wish I could post a picture of it on here
I can attest that it turned out sweet, I'm serious thinking about copying your version. I believe you can copy the link from the page and paste it here.
Hi Sandra i only have one suggestion if you added a power strip with a extension cord so you could plug it in while you are working. As I know you are using battery operated tools but it is still nice to have the power option as well. Over all great project nice job.
Thanks Richard. I had a power strip that I thought I'd attach to the side, opposite the magnet. At the time though, I decided it may not be convenient to have a power strip attached because the workbench is multi sided, if I have one side to the wall, and that's where the power strip is, it wouldn't be easily accessible... I decided it would be better to keep it movable, so I can use it at all times.
Thanks Todd! I'm working furiously, trying to finish my house. I keep wanting to post an update video to update you all but I can not, for the life of me, get videos out regularly! I have TONS of footage. LOL I HAVE to find someone that can help me with the editing. I simply can't do everything myself. That is my goal -- if I could only find the time to find someone. LOL
I noticed all the saw cut lines in the 4x8 sheet of plywood on your work table. I instantly assumed this is from using a Festool or other track saw. Cool Idea! I just wanted to say that I use the 2" thick 4x8 sheet of foam insulation board for a cut table for my Festool track saw. I find it makes the cut easier since the blade is not having to go through an extra thickness of wood but instead it just barely slices through the soft foam. I believe we are both from TN. I am just down the road in Cleveland. I like your content.
Yes the cut lines are from a track saw. I use foam when I'm cutting on a temporary set up and have to use one of the sheets I intend to use as a cutting surface. Just to protect it. But in my shop or on a mobile workbench, the foam isn't practical or convenient. Because the work surface isn't a dedicated cutting surface, when not in use, that foam has to be stored somewhere. That's why I like MDF for a worktop. It's very uniform so it doesn't interfere.
Thanks Mark. Yeah i think adding a shop vac would be great. My shop vacs are on wheels and I generally wheel them around to clean up areas that I'v been working on so I need to keep them separately mobile. But you could definitely tuck a small one up under the tool hanger (with the air compressor). Just to keep everything together when moving it around.
In regards to a shop vac: I prefer to use a dust deputy on top of a 16 gallon HDPE bucket that is available from Amazon. It works great and helps to avoid cleaning and replacing shop vac filters. Also, the 16 gallon bucket is much easier to empty than my shop vacs (I have 2 of these setups). I also us the large, metal Super Dust Deputies on 35 gallon drums with my shop dust collection systems (yes, 2 of them also). Great project that I will be tackling soon.
Great workbench Sandra, going to put one permanently in my livingroom😁 Have you cooparated with Linn @Darbin Orvar? Same design on hanging the powertools... (And the same tools🤔)
Thanks. LOL About the living room! I haven't seen hers but the design of the hanging tool section is definitely a tried and true design. It's also how a lot of wine racks are created. :-)
NIce design! I did look at the plans, and I understand why you laid it out to get the most cuts, however most of grain on the layout is run short, I'm sure the bench is sturdy enough, but I'm anal on running grain long which is the rule of thumb.
So often these mobile benches are made with the top flush to the side rails but my issue is that without the overhang you are losing a huge amount of ability to clamp things to the worktop. It would be so much more useful if the worktop over hung by say 3 to 4" all the way around.
I simply LOVE this. Thank you for producing my favorite TH-cam woodworking shows!!
That is probably the nicest compliment ever! Thanks~
This is the best storage workbench I have seen. You thought of everything!
Thanks Nadine! I always build for function so I tried to get as much functionality in it as possible. I need organization in my life -- for my own sanity!
Wow! 😊 That's great!

Thanks! Who has time for hype? LOL
Awesome Episode. This would also make a great rolling bar.

That is seriously awesome work.
You designed and executed this beautifully. I am just a beginner but I really want to tackle this. Thank you for inspiring me.
Thanks so much. I think this build is a totally doable beginner project. Jump in and do it! 😀
Absolutely love this idea. I need to get the plans. I have a very small work space and this would help out a lot. Great Job!
Thanks Cody! If you click the link in my video description you can download the plans from my blog post.
Sandra Powell aka {Sawdust Girl} it is printing out right now. 🤪

Good to see another project Sandra hope you had good craic making it.
Sean
Thanks! I had a great time making it. 😀
Great project as always
Thanks Martin!
Great work on the mobile tool storage Sandra! Thanks for sharing the video with us.👍😎JP
Thanks so much!
Your very welcome Sandra! 😎

Yet another great project and build, thanks for posting from Garry in the UK

Wow, I'd love to see that Joseph!
Sweet, very nice work. I could use one of those in my shop.
I'm going to put it in my shop when I'm done with my house. Which is starting to feel like that will NEVER happen. LOL

Smart cookie = smart build. Thx for your tutorial!
Where have you been? We've missed you terribly 😢, Great project, love the compressor space. Don't leave Us!

That's a great idea, would be neat to include a shop vac maybe?

Awsome build love it
Wow. A smaller version, easily transported in a car might be interesting idea.
outstanding job!
Awesome build! Definitely building one for my shop!!
Love it! Now I just need to get more tools 😉
I definitely built for growth. I've learned...LOL

Buen trabajo... buen diseño muy útil!!
awesome build! is that a festool attachment on your drill?
Very nice & organized. What computer software did you use for the build?
Nice design, i downloaded the plans. Think i will paint mine with semi-gloss or gloss so it will be easier to clean
Good idea! I already had that paint so it's what I used. LOL
So awesome!
Стильно
I can't translate this so don't know what it means or how to respond. 😬
@@Sawdustgirl i think it says "stylish"
Hello, I tried to download your plans but it's saying cant open file. Is there another way I could get the plans?
Been a while, nice build
I know. I'll keep trying to get videos out more regularly. That's my goal!

It's made out of plywood and painted so grain orientation doesn't really matter.
I love this awesome project and I got the plans to Thank you for that later take care :)
Very Nice
So awesome..I wish I know how to do CAD...😂😂
I use Sketchup. It's pretty easy to learn and there are tons of videos on TH-cam to help learn all the shortcuts.
awesome love it friend
Super vidéo. Et meuble bien pratique ! Continue !!
Thanks so much. I'm going, I'm going. LOL
I got you my friend and I hit that bell to, Awesome project I love It good job :)
Where did you get the Versatrack clips for power tools? Haven’t been able to find them anywhere.
I had the same issue and had to ask the company to send me some. Hopefully they will get those out in the stores soon!
Hi nice video! Where did you buy your small parts organizer?
Online at Lowes.
Sandra Powell aka {Sawdust Girl} thanks
Why not use a French Cleat system on the hanging side?
You could definitely do that.
So often these mobile benches are made with the top flush to the side rails but my issue is that without the overhang you are losing a huge amount of ability to clamp things to the worktop. It would be so much more useful if the worktop over hung by say 3 to 4" all the way around.
You can definitely change and alter any design you see to fit your specific needs.
Awesome design, very nice job and excellent editing‼️ Ron1, LittleWierdShop
Thanks so much Ron! I'm getting better at the editing part. LOL
Cant download pdf plan?
On the website?
In your cut list, you have 24 12" orange pieces. But in the build diagram, you only used 20. What happened to the other 4?
Do you like MDF as a work top??? ;-)
I think there's a dirty joke in there but I don't get it.
