For years I've lived out of my Jeep camping. Most of the time I'm in Montana and Wyoming. The number one tip I've learned the hard way is to not get yourself in a place you can't get out of. The backcountry of Montana is brutal in the winter and I always plan how can I get to the closest safe place.
Excellent and smart advice. I’d rather be over prepared any day. And yes, in places like that is crucial to have a plan in place. Thanks for watching and adding to the conversation. It’ll help more people understand the importance of planning and preparing. I appreciate it.
@@CampsiteCruising There are things you can control and things you can't. If you don't have a cell signal than its important to know where the closest place that does and have a plan to get there, and if you're with other people they need to know how to get there. Its important to get something like a Garmin inreach. Which brings me to electronics. They are important especially if you have lights, cellphone you need to have plan A, B, C and D to charge these things and to keep checking the status of how much charge they have and the more back up plans the better. The more plans the greater your chances of survival. Awesome Channel
@@TrekkingwithDebandMike that’s smart. We’ve cancelled trips due to weather or other conditions. I’m sure you all have done so too. Thanks for watching!
