My heart literally broke into a million pieces when I heard we had lost this one. She has been and forever will be 1 of my most favorites simply because she was a real one! She said what she wanted to say and didn't sugarcoat it and that's how it should be. She was 1 of the absolute greatest. I remember showing her to my little one who at the time was in a princess phase, when she seen Loretta in her beautiful dress, it was purple dress, my baby girl gasp and said, "Oh my goodness she's beautiful! I want a purple dress like hers! Is she a princess too Mommy?" I said, "No baby she's not a princess, she's a queen" I immediately ordered my little princess a purple dress that looked as close as I could get it to the one Loretta was wearing. When it came and I let her open it the look on her face was EVERYTHING! She would put her purple Loretta dress on, get her little guitar, get on top of our coffee table, play her guitar and sing her lil heart out. I will never ever forget that and I will never ever forget you Loretta. Rest Easy In Paradise Beautiful Queen! 💜
How cute. My Mother s cousin, Bobby Hempker, played steel guitar in Loretta s band for many years so Mom got to meet her and she just thought she was the sweetest lady. Sometimes a little sad to listen as when Loretta Sings it sounds like my Momma singing . Same accent and all
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭I cried like a child, this lady was such a part of my childhood. My daddy and I watched coal miner's daughter together since it came out on VHS. I was already listening to her music from the time I can remember. This ONE really hurt to hear! I am so grateful I FINALLY got to see her in concert, my daddy bought us all tickets and we went as a family. I ended up on the floor right up at the stage holding my toddler in my laps and she was so cute in her little pig tails and Mrs Loretta kept waving at her and smiling at her and at the end said how precious she was. That was a one of a kind moment that I will never forget. I lost my daddy in 2016. And this feels like another piece of my childhood died with her today. I am thankful she is finally at peace. She is in the huge concert hall in the sky, I bet it sounded even more beautiful today as she joined in. I was saying to my husband not long ago how bad I wanted to see Hurricane Mills 😭With out her it just wont be the same even if I got to visit now. It would probably feel so empty there now, makes me think of her lyrics of her own home in kentucky "nothing left but the floor, no one lives here anymore." 😭😭😭

In the early eighties, my eighth grade math teacher, Mr. Borup, was in love with Loretta Lynn. He often worked her name into his lessons. I've loved her ever since, along with the rest of the world! May she rest in peace.
RIP Loretta Lynn, you will be missed but your music legacy is strong and deep. This duet w Willy is one I choose for my own last party. Thank you for your voice, your strength and your solid, unvarnished testament to positive and hard working women. The Queen of Country music, indeed. I know you are at peaceful rest.

it's a shame that modern country singers have strayed so far from the genre's roots. the only singers that stayed true to the genre are the ones that have been in the genre for so long that they're somewhere between their mid 50's to their early 80's. it's sad to think that there are so few artists staying true to the genre. god bless you Willie and Loretta. keep on keeping it country.

It was fantastic. She is rich AF but still tours to play for her fans.
Love you Loretta.
Great story. Thanks for sharing.
Great great great performance. They should write some together. Their voices are great together.
Loretta Lynn is why country music was made to be.pure originality in a good hearted women. This women paved the way of country music women forever.🎶❤📻✌
❤. I Love You Very Much. Willie Nelson ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hello,how are you doing
I don't understand how there are 2.3K dislikes on this video. So sad that they cannot appreciate the authenticity Willie and Loretta bring to country music. We need more of this.
Hello Regina..
The problem is they like the garbage on the Air! Yet unlike us people who Love The Classics!
@@deanwalter2854 Hello
It's a good thing that I can't see the dislikes on my TH-cam .
@@giuseppinahilsinger6477 they disabled the dislike button because Biden was getting too many and I'm not making that up. But, yes it is good that you can't see them 🙂
In the early eighties, my eighth grade math teacher, Mr. Borup, was in love with Loretta Lynn. He often worked her name into his lessons. I've loved her ever since, along with the rest of the world! May she rest in peace.
Hi Lynn hope you're okay?
Just a simple country girl from Kentucky whose music touched the entire world. You're at peace now, Loretta. 💖
Hello greetings from Keanu Reeves how are you doing?❤❤❤👋👋👋👋👋
Oh my Lord, when I saw this song with Willie and Loretta singing together, it brought tears to my eyes. Two authentic Americans representing country music's greatest of all-time. These are the people who only come around once. National treasures never to be duplicated.❤
Hello,how are you doing
This song means so much more now after the passing today of the queen of country music. How blessed are we to have had these two in our lifetime.
I revisit this song often to help right my spirit. All my life music has helped me make sense of my insides and this song has become really special to me. God bless Loretta and Willie for this one.
😭 I cried so hard when I heard that Loretta Lynn left this realm she was/is a beautiful soul she touched so many souls Rest In Peace Ms Loretta
Hi Lisa hope you're okay??

Thank you. "When I was a child I cried." The combination of these two legendary singer's, this song just can't leave me. Fill's me up with life and death..and the beauty of each new breath.
❤ Rest in Peace Beautiful Loretta Lynn❤
Rest in peace my beautiful daughter,my angel.
Hi Connie hope you're okay??
I'm crying! I was raised by my grandmother so Loretta was on the radio all the time, same with Willie. I'm so happy! #lorettacomeback
+Burlesque Haines Same here. Mom was raised on Loretta, Willie and Waylon and The Boys, Ronnie Milsap, Charlie Pride so I hated it at the time but hearing them again brings back very fond memories. Thank you Miss Lynn and Willie! You still got it.
+Burlesque Haines Same here as well. Parents were playing her music when I was a kid and that's what I enjoyed too. Great to know I'm not the only one under 30 who does.
The music I was raised on.
You were a blessing to us all, thank you. Fly away & be at peace. ❤
Heaven gained the most beautiful and sweetest soul this morning. We are all going to miss Loretta Lynn!! Rest in peace ma'am
From Luling TX
She truly was beautiful even more as she got older, and she aged gracefully
absolutely beautiful!!!!! brings a smile to face yet a tear to my eye.... when these two are gone country music will be too..
+Larry S they made some nice leave-behinds, huh?
+Mark OBLAZNEY THEY SURE DID...
+Larry S you are right. Country music will never be the same after these two are in that peaceful place.
+Larry S Only if you choose that to happen. We still have Lyle, Robert Earl, Guy Clark, Steve Earle, Kelly Willis, Joe Ely, Dale Watson, Charlie Robison. many many more.
I love her singing
Rest in Peace Ms. Loretta... You will be missed💔😢
Hi Dawn hope you're okay??
This is awesome!!!!!! Two legends in country music! Love this video by Willie Nelson and the great Loretta Lynn!!!
I don't think it could get any better! With highest compliments meant, of course :)
it's a shame that modern country singers have strayed so far from the genre's roots. the only singers that stayed true to the genre are the ones that have been in the genre for so long that they're somewhere between their mid 50's to their early 80's. it's sad to think that there are so few artists staying true to the genre. god bless you Willie and Loretta. keep on keeping it country.
Mo Pitney (#1 for me), Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Mumford Brothers, Zac Brown Band.... don't lose out on the kids out there that love what we love....
Everything changes. So does music of all genres.
We have Lukas. He can do anything, so much of his father in him. With him, we have Willie for another 50 years.
Willie Nelson made pop albums ..
@@zzdecker exactly!!! And it's so crazy that there are people that cannot accept that and understand it.
Ms.Loretta I hope you're flying high 🕊🕊🕊 Make sure you're there when Willie comes to rest, you both deserve it.
Smiles, hi there 🌺 😊

+Larry, I stumbled a crossed it, I shared it and people thought I was dying. Don't know where I found it but I'm glad I did.
+william moody. glad you did too :-)
Jamie Wagner I was thinking the same damn thing
The age Gap....
I've watched this four times in a row and I'm about to start my fifth. They don't make musicians like this anymore.
shes not new though lol shes been an artist a long time.
Brandon&Kaitlin Furr Yes, I know. That was sort of my point.
yeah they don't make music like thus because now we make good music
MiXed LiFe You are an idiot.
+Josef Ferguson but there are still many good singers like Alessia cara. Hear the following songs by her. You will fall in love with them
River of tears
Stone
Wild things
Seventeen
I'm yours
Willie could sing the alphabet to me ... I'd still be captured. In my high school yearbook I said I want to sing with Willie and my greatest fantasy was him, me at a small table in a bar and just singing. As for Loretta ... they are no words ... she IS Country. The Queen, the First Lady ... just IT!!!

hey there, how’s it going with you today? Hope you’re having a peaceful day 🌹
yeah absolutely I’ve been married for 32years I was 24 and she was 20. She got cancer in 2020 I was totally lost without her. She took a major hit the treatment was horrible for her. I could do nothing to change any thing so I felt helpless.. I miss her everyday. Mothers are the glue that holds everyone together.
seeing this makes me miss her even more I come to this page all the time just to have that nostalgia 🥺😢😢
Pure class with a innocence that never left her. This song is great pairing that makes me want to see Willie next time his tour rolls through Ohio.
hey there, how’s it going with you today? Hope you’re having a peaceful day
Her grand daughter and Willie’s Nelson’s son did performed this song together and it was really good
