Would LOVE to do this, with low boost, for my 12 TSX wagon. Low boost to preserve the auto trans. It’ll get better gas mileage and will be at the power it should have came with. 201hp on a 4500lbs car is crazy. It the equivalent of putting a Geo Metro engine inside of a Chevy Tahoe.😅😅
Just subscribed.. i picked up a 12' Wagon and coming from the JZ world from the Lexus Is300, searching for content on this year is alot harder as there isnt much. Hope to see more! And for a fellow noob like me, a suggestion.. I love in depth videos rather than short snippets.. any extra detail is always better than none 🙌 Merry Christmas and cant wait! 🎄
That’s awsome! Actually is300 was my radar of cars to build but cost switching it to manual before you start and it’s recommended to get away from vvti version was my hold back . Not to say it can’t be done . I would recommend checking out cx racing turbo kit but not their turbo or Wastegate . Anc you’ll still need injectors full pump and stand alone ecu for tuning
If you port match the intake manifold to the z3 head you will gain some good midrange power. I have a uk spec ctr rsp im on my tsx wagon. For as fat as it is it gets up and goes. Those skunk 2 cams should get you even more power with that combo. Im in the middle of my turbo build as well. Keep at it 👍
Great info , originally I did some porting on my the rbc , but when we had it apart and we did proper prying everything was port matched . I’m excited for you nothing beats boosted power if have the time and motivation it’s hands down the cheapest power option . Hit me up on IG. I would love to see you build Bondo_fpv

I’m not super fimiliar with that engine bay , I think kraftwerks had a super charger that goes in replacement of the ac condenser . I don’t know exactly how much room you have but I seen one guy welding a v band almost directly to the existing manifold flange and running internal Wastegate turbo . Even if it’s not the greatest flow any boost will be ten fold the N/A build
If you look at vibrant exhaust actual website they offer a head flange , but it really would be the best if you could just find dirt cheap used turbo and drop the thd manifold cat out and see if the turbo will even fit first

2009-2014 requires its own single port exhaust manifold , you either have to make it or makspeed makes one if you ask him , and you’ll need his 90 degree tight radius 3” v band to get it down past the electric power steering
@@boostaddiction-py8mh what would be the difference between manual and auto? And what would be the difference between a k24z3 to the rest of it apart of get a custom turbo manifold?
great questions , manual and auto is just referring to the gear box or transmission . The k24z3and k24z7 share same internals slightly different block and transmission cases.they used these engines in this tsx and the 9th gen civic si . the main down fall to it is the R40 head with its single port exhaust instead of the 4 individual exhaust ports . It does offer some advantages for running boost though as it will have better boost response because the exhaust gas is mush hotter and more expanded when it enters the turbo. the there just is not alot of guys boosting these cars so alot has to be fabricated .
I have a 08 accord same k24z3 and I can also say these motors dont have barely any aftermarket suppprt they were almost like the oddball of the k motors…I’ve seen more supercharged k24z3’s then I have turbo lol
@@automattic4202 they do have support! Everything you hear about k24z3 is a lie! Except the exhaust ports that they dont flow well but you can fix it porting it! Just the exhaust part not the intake

Good stuff bro this deserves more views
Thanks , I just got the car out of storage I should have my motor back tomorrow and I’m about to start put some new content out .
So glad I found this just grabbed a 2011 TSX and nobody is doing this 🤣 definitely working towards this 🤝🏼
Thanks for tuning in , there definitely underrated car .
