One of the best Minecraft tutoring TH-camrs, I say this because you dont tell people what you worked on in your last video, your title subject doesn't take 40 mins to get to and you dont go hunting the materials.. I don't want to see TH-camrs gathering materials unless it's a special task.
Thank you for showcasing this mod and being really concise. I did not even have to turn on my own game to get a good idea of what I am going to be working with. And, love the Green Arrow outfit.
This is the early game solution for Sky Factory 4, so you're probably picking up more views. I was hoping to learn about Processing Cables, but I guess they're a comparatively recent addition to the mod. Thanks for the Import/Export lesson.
I know this is a very old video but this was a incredible tutorial! You explained everything so clearly and detailed. This is indeed a very simple mod but I have been overwhelmed with storage mods in the past and saw some warnings about this one so I decided to do more research. Loved the video thank you for your help!
@@MischiefofMice You're truly a next level minecraft youtuber my good sir. Whenever I'm interested in learning a new mod it never fails to search "Mischief of Mice - Mod Name" Thank you for being awesome
Import/export is easiest to remember by what into doing to the rest of the network. IMPORT into network, EXPORT from network. Also, it's compatible with other storage mods (as of 2021 on 1.12.2) such as the multi page chest mod.
This helped me a lot the last time playing SkyFactory4, that was 2 years ago. I started a new world yesterday and of course I forgot everything. Luckily, this vid is still online, kudos to you man!
You have got to be one of the best Minecraft tutors I have seen yet. Your video gets right into the subject; you don't walk, jump and run around like some imbecilic moron suffering from a severe case of ADHD; you're calm when you speak instead of acting like you're in some kind of used car commercial or hopped up on meth and you don't wander off of the subject! I really wish more people were like you in these respects.
This looks like an amazing mod. I've been wanting something to use in a modpack I'm throwing together for my friends and I (none of us are fans of mods with crafting rabbit holes). I put Storage Drawers and Iron Chests in as a simple solution to storage, but I think I try this one as well (as soon as the bugs get ironed out that is)
I know this is a bit older BUT I figured something out. You don't need an import and storage cable or inport and outport or this and that. You just need the storage link cable. That's the only item you need. You set up your main chests to have priority set up ascending so 1-the number of chests. The thing you want to have the specific item connected with the filter to have that item and priority 0 (I have "barrels, drums storage and more" and the crates can hold a lot of one item so I have them set to hold the items I get most such as cobble) so whenever cobble is attempted to be put in the system, it sees the crate as first opportunity and puts it there
Thank you so much that i found you. I searched for a easy and fast storage system that isn't a huge mod and this one is perfect for me. Because i yoused the transfer pipes from Extra Utilities 2 and they are so damn slow. Thank you again and for everyone who reads this: Don't forget to like and subscribe, he deserved it.
I like this mod better than AE2 in many situations. Effortless to set up in comparison, and I can remotely access AND craft without any RF from anywhere in my base, from 5 million blocks out, or even from a different dimension. Basically limitless storage while exploring or mining compared to just your inventory and whatever backpacks you might have. Only thing I wished was in the mod was remote access to the process controller.
i can see this mod is OP specially when you only have 1 ME drive and 4 units of 16384k storage in it. And this will kill AE 2 and refined Storage too using compact storage 24x12 chest what more when quantum flux in the latest version IF they didnt remove thier storage block.
I'm really intrigued by this mod for a simplistic standalone inventory system that doesn't make my head spin, but does this system have any way to handle fluids and/or fluid automation? Looking at things like vis production from thaumcraft or automated lava/obsidian for TiCon. Even if I use another inventory system that can handle fluids such as Real Filing Cabinet, will it be able to read the presence of fluids when it's not in item form? Or am I better of slugging it out with Refined Storage or some other storage mod?
I cant connect the cables on the 1.14 version :D ( first palce cable then storage network master, and link cable for chests, and only 1 link cable per chest)
I know this video is 5 yrs old now, but I'm using this mod in 1.18 and thought I'd look up a video to see how it all works. If I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying don't use the import/export cables because you can't see what's in the chests? but I'm pretty sure that's the point. You're exporting items out of the system.
I tried the import cables. They just didnt import, i tried changing to blacklist. Nothing Changed i put the whitelisted items in nothing changed. I thought maybe the Import is too slow and its not fast enough, put in all upgrades and nothing changed.
I believe you want to use the Storage Link Cable to attach a cable to a storage block. And with Colossal chests, you have to connect it to the interface block, not a wall.
Does this mod work with Colossal Chests? I'm playing an Roguelike Dungeon modpack, and I'm already seeing glitches with a colossal chest, and I don't wanna break everything...
I was hoping you might go into where the items go in the external storage chests. Like, does the system try to keep similar things in the same chest, or just dump them in the first available chest? Will I end up with half-stacks of cobblestone in all my chests? Also, do you know if the mod is more stable now? It's in sevtech, and I'm wondering if it's worth using. Any chance you could update the video description to mention the stability of the latest version? Or maybe a part-2 bit-by-bit? Cheers!
Can I use this to build a sorting system like direwolf20 does? How does it place items in network attached chest, does it place item in chests that currently has that item? Those remotes are OP. Will see if I can disable them.
Your videos are normally really well-made, well-thought out, and well-put together... But this one was pretty rough. I'm guessing you were in a hurry that day or something. At the beginning, your network WASN'T connected to the chest with the cobble in it- it was pulling from your inventory. Once you "noticed" there was an issue, you said you were disconnecting it and broke the connector on the back, but that wasn't connecting the chest with cobble in it to the network, it was just connecting chests to chests, without being connected to a network. I'm aware that you fully understand how to use the mod, so I only point this out so that if anyone watching is confused, they'll understand a bit better. Ultimately, though, this video helped me understand the mod better and I appreciate the video, as always!
What are you on about? The network can't pull items into your inventory automatically, it was his other, prebuilt network that was interfering with the demonstration of the new network by pulling cobblestone to the chests that were filtered to export cobblestone
2 Networks connected to 1 chest. He put cobble into the new network, it went into the chest, the old network saw it and pulled it out to place in the export chest and then the new network couldn't see it. Now, I realize you're a pretentious ass who was probably in a hurry the day you watched this so I only leave this here so that others aren't confused by your ignorance.

How do you connect it to the colossal chest?
Im gonna need to know too
@@kaizerk4321 I figured it out. When you go to attach the pipes you have to make sure it's attached to where toe colossal chest core is.
@@kaizerk4321 Just connect the tube to the colossal chest core
Also works perfectly with Iron Chests mod as well. For when you need extra storage without having to build the giant box.
You dont have to put the request table next to the master. As long as its connected with the cables you're good.

Autiomagy had something like that and it was brilliant. Hopefully, once Thaumcraft catches up to 1.12, Automagy will be updated.

There's a way to autocraft with this mod using Refined Storage but I can't figure out how :(
I don't want to switch so soon

my items wont import no matter what i do !! help ))):
This is a great mod however compaired to other similar mods it seems way to cheap and poweful. Its almost like cheating :)
