This seems to be a cool mod. Uses a lot of stuff which we are used to, like cables, simple generators, etc, but the art is well integrated with minecraft, and has some neat ideas, like the energy hopper and the player transmitter.
If the energy hopper works on all kinds of inventories, that could be super useful with Ender IO tools in mechanical users, killer joes and such. Definitely gonna have to check this mod out.
Very well done as are all your tutorials and videos... You have a calm and collected voice and I can see you really put a lot of time and effort in these videos..! Kudos to you sir!
Best feature is that it gets you Snap's "I've got the power" stuck in your head! Looks cool, very "simple" in how it's setup and works, which is kinda refreshing. The reactors look awesome, really love that tech circuit board texture on it.
just realised you could totally use the energy discharger as a sort of disk drive for batteries just put four batteries in it and it take up a quarter of the space
Might be a stupid question, but do I have to worry about radiation or a meltdown with the Powah reactor? I can't really find much info about it, but I just wanted to check before I started building it. My friends use a different mod for their reactors and they are always talking about radiation leaks and meltdowns.
Hello @Mischief of Mice, I have both Mekanism and Powah! (Rearchitected) mod in a modpack. The only issue is none of my cables are connecting to my reactor. Why could this be? Is there a fix?
oddly no one has seemed to notice that it's U-RAN-in-ite and not prounced Urine-ite (there's that extra 'in' there) I mean, it's not as tricky as Mochellandsbergite, or Bismutohauchecornite, but still. :D
It's like the mod developer took the power generation methods of Solar Flux Reborn (tiered crafting), Extreme Reactors (but with the self-building machine ability of Environmental Tech), and Extra Utilities 2 (magmatic generators and furnace generators), then added a simple yet configurable wired power transfer ability. The wireless power transfer system seems very similar to Flux Networks (base unit + input/output units and also ability to charge items in player inventories). The crafting via a "charging station" is eerily similar to either the empowering system from Actually Additions or the Ender Crafting system from the Extended Crafting mod. Overall, not a terrible mod but not exactly groundbreakingly original.
Darn I still can't wrap my head around the wireless energy concept. What is the point of shift-clicking stuff into the cell if you are selecting a channel anyway? I was able to understand Flux Networks and the RFTools cells are awesome, but I just don't get this one. Am I missing something or is it just a strange design decision to make the mod feel a little different?
The "Forge Energy (FE)" can be used to provide power for most other mods that require FE to run. Works with Thermal, Mekanism, Ender IO, etc. and any others that use the Forge Energy API. Works great in modpacks! I hope that was helpful to answer your question. Cheers!
the ender cell needs redone u cant tell what side is what... Not sure about anyone else but i go crazy when it comes to generating power and trying to find what side this cell has just to much of a pain
I was wondering about this mod… Someone I've been watching play around with Enigmatica 4 (I think it was four, anyway.) tried this out very briefly, but they were waiting for some other project in their base to get completed before they dove into any tech. That project they were waiting for has been taking a long time, so I probably know more than them now, having watched this. I'll have to suggest to them to try putting a snowball in the orb; they might like that. :)
I'm trying to do that too but I cant get it to work, I've tried multiple different ways and I cant seem to get the reactor to accept any form of piping from a pump or water storage system
Do you know what kind of support mod you need to get the power transferred from this mod to Refined Storage? I can't seem to get the cables to connect.
A shame, another power mod that doesn't really give much in the way of ability to utilize the power given. Always tons of ways to generate, usually never enough ways to expend it.
And sadly I know of mods that add things gluttonous for power that give you basically nothing to make it with. I kinda like mods that know that problem exist and try to fix it without adding redundancies of my other mods.
I'm confused how this works I have a magmator that's supposed to turn lava into energy but its not working I placed the lava in magmator which is connected to battery and then into redstone furnace, can anyone help me? (If you can direct message me anywhere, that'll be really helpful)
Weird i've seen more than one person refer to this as urinite, Its uraninite Like uranium, nite kinda. Uraninite urani nite lol Not a big deal but its so common to see it as uranite that I wonder if people just don't actually see the two ni's but just kinda mix them into one.
I don't get it. So you have a bunch of generators that give you power, what is the power being used for? There are no weapons/ Armour/ tools except for the snowball I see.
I don't understand the generation rates of solar panels, each tier requires 3x panels of the previous tier, but generates less than 3x as much energy, why would you ever build a higher tier of solar panel in that case? you get more power for cheaper just by building more lower tier panels.
@@MischiefofMice Slightly, but not even 3x vs the tier below it, and after seeing 44 blaze powder to make a panel thats only slightly better than an iron/redstone tier mekanism advanced solar panel i had to nope out.
When you explain these, it's not clear what it really needed to Link the power cells to a "source". It's not super useful just to have a big battery. We need to see how we can connect these Ender Cells back to a Generator / Reactor setup which is likely what we built "early game". e.g. It looks to me like you need Battery / Power cells + Ender Cell + Ender Gates on the Production Side and the Receiving side. It's not very clear from the in game book or this video what is really needed at minimum to setup a remote power site. You cannot just do it with an ender cell + battery/power_cell because it will eventually run out.

Hmm, Uraninite. I guess GTCE trained me to recognize it as Uranium Ore.
