Tired of mining and crave the light od day? Love the fishing in Minecraft and wish there was more to it? This mod is for you! It adds in new fishing techniques that are customizable, fish weights (if desired), biome specific fish, loot a plenty, and plenty more!

SteelHunter9 I think there was an old mod where you could hang up the animals you killed, but I don’t know if it’s still a thing.
@@dombomb64 That sounds awesome but like I also want the same variety of animals that this has for water creature like Deer and Bear and what not and then you can hunt them and lime get some really cool resources from them and combined you could like survive totally in the overworld with no need to mine it would just be a lot harder then mining but the new gear you got could make it easier in the long run. Also traps would be a cool part of it. If I knew how to Mod I would so do this

Try better animal plus, u can hang up heads of animals u kill and it adds several real world animals

That helps. I am playing the 1.14 Valhelsia pack and made the iron fishing rod. Wasn't sure what else was needed. Now I can do some fishing for treasure.
You should do a Bit by Bit for Upgrade Aquatic! It's a really nice mod that tries to follow the mindset of 1.13, and it fits so well with Vanilla Minecraft

great explanation for everything, within the mod! now i can utilize this for Valhelsia 2 on my stranded at sea challenge
If you are planning on fishing in Valhelsia 2 modpack, you can melt down the extra Neptunium gear and tools into Neptunium Ingots which can be used as a part of creating a really awesome Silent gear armor set. A few Crimson Steel Ingots, a Neptunium Ingot, and a few other types of ingots combined can make a set of armor that is immune to fire, gives you underwater breathing, and much more. The pack also has some ridiculously OP enchants that you can put on the gear and weapons to really take them to the next level.
Quality overview as always! That helped a lot. :)
You could probably center some kind of progression pack based on fishing around this... If you added more crafting recipes for the fish and stuff

Wait... Is Shadowclaimer modding again? Thought he stopped developing pretty much all of his projects years ago.
He did, but he came back about a year and a half ago. Aquaculture 1 is also on 1.12 as well as Atum 2, and someone else made a version of metallurgy for 1.12, but I know that shadowclaimer is working on a separate one for 1.15
If I'm looking at this right, this technically works for modded rods from other mods as well? Can anyone confirm if, say, the fishing rods added by Thermal count as strong enough to get the new loot?

If I were to chose one mod, this would definitely be a contender! A couple things I’m wondering though...
-since fish are biome specific, do they have to be in that water? For example, could I put them all in an aquarium with salt water fish?
-do the fishing rod enchantments still affect the new rods?
-do the Neptunium item perks stack with enchantments?

hello, I've been fishing for hours and have only gotten cod and salmon, ive switched areas and spots like 15 times and just cannot catch any fish. im using the diamond rod with the double hook and worms... nothing works.. how do i fix this....?

Hello, im playing with the modpack called Valhelsia 16.3 and the Aquaculture hoe "does not stay moist" nevertheless it isnt even making the dirt wet to begin with. Is this a problem with a more recent update or is it an old bug?
Might be an update or a config change. Maybe even a modification in the pack.
I am playing Oceanum (waterworld) that has aquaculture 2 but the recipes seem to not be activated. There is no way to interact with the mod, can't configure it from main menu. Any ideas? I also can't craft the fish fillet knife.

I just found this mod, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong...I throw my fishing rod into my "pond", the fish comes, it bites, the swimmer goes down...but I don't get any fish. Do I have to click anything special? Like shift+click? That drives me nuts! xD

You can make afk fishing farms in vanilla. That's what I was referring to.

Do you know how Neptunium armor would work with the abilities of the merling race in the origin mod? I'm playing a modpack with both mods in it and aquaculture is gonna ofc be the mod I delve into the most
I'm going to experiment with the chest plate, I'm wondering if it works like water breathing potions and respiration work for Merlings, if you don't know what they do, it has the opposite effect, so while a normal person would drink a water breathing potion and be able to breath underwater, a merling can drink a WB potion and breath on land

How can you make it so that you just grab the item from the JEI part and it says "gave" in the chat?
CTRL+R click the wrench icon in the bottom right corner of inventory screen. When it turns red you can spawn items in by clicking or shift+clicking on the item.
