Thank you for your sacrifice for letting us know how horrible and terrible this bus hotel is. They have the cheek to charge close to 500 bucks...! Please take Mrs Ghib to a real atas hotel to celebrate your anniversary. You both deserve better.
I think there's a lot of missed opportunities. 1st, guests should be able to open the original door as the room door. 2nd, the card design should be an ezlink card and the receiver should be the exact same thing that u tapped on in buses. 3rd, the handgrips shouldve been kept as cloth hangers. The whole point of bus hotel is the BUS experience, which they clearly miss. I would say that they shouldve taken advantage of view the bus windows offer by making sure that their hotel is facing the sea.
@@Bingpot_Cowabungawe're still maintaining the USP which caters to bus fans. The problem isnt with the idea but the execution. A typical hotel business is more investment heavy than this model. You're talking abt a whole building.
Don’t have to feel paiseh for being a Japanese commenting about the cleanliness of the bus hotel. I am a local and for the price you are paying, the cleanliness is really very bad. Just give your honest thoughts and be true to your viewers. Keep up the good videos!
Thanks for the informative review! For 472, the stains on the bed and sofa are clearly unacceptable especially in the absence of other facilities like the gym and swimming pool.
As much as I am a bus enthusiast, it's a cool unique concept. Making full use of the Scania K230UB's. But at that rate, this place is gonna struggle to survive. I'll give it a year or two max before they close shop. I'll be surprised if they survive to be honest but if they do, then good for them. It really boggles my mind how they converted the bus to a hotel room. Amazing. A pity about the cleanliness such as the bed stains and ants though. They gotta improve. Give them chance as they only just started operating. May get better with time.
thank you for trying it out for us hopefully the management does something about the little flaws that adds up to reducing the value of the stay. it's a good video review pretty honest and direct. good luck to the bus collective on improving their services.
Happy anniversary to you and your wife Ghib! 🥳 really appreciate the honesty in this review, and I think they're completely justified especially when considering the price. While the concept itself is cool and creative, it's really hard to justify the price solely based on that when even simple basic things such as their cleaniness, toiletries (soap) and phone (for room serivce) are not provided or up to par of a 'luxury hotel'. Honestly, I think it would have been cooler to turn that place into a campsite for primary/secondary school students for their field trip and perhaps even have the opportunity to teach them about the history of buses in Singapore etc 😂 edit: also it is quite concerning to hear about the staffs looking into the guest's room...that sounds like a huge privacy concern and even rude tbh
Everything in Singapore is overprice . $440 without breakfast is huge setback . Even the 3 star hotel in Singapore is expensive around $70 to $100 per night where other countries you can find 3 star hotel at around $25 .
While I agree that it is really expensive, I don't think you can simply compare it to other countries being $25 for a 3star hotel. Cost of living in Singapore is higher, and people earn more relative to a country that has a 3star hotel room for $25
Too expensive. Agree with you it is a nice concept but for that price, they should use better quality equipment, fix the cleanliness and get rid of those ants. Hopefully the mgmt will address some of these concerns you have identified. 😢
Thanks for the review Ghib! Paying hotel price for chalet quality really cmi…. Many hotels offer breakfast with same price, better views & room services 😅
Agree. Very very steeply priced. No in-bus phone, no breakfast so what is the use of a patio for enjoyment. So much for the hype. Thank you Sir for sacrificing on our behalf.
The registration plate number is legit, but the plates are not original. The original number plates cannot be used since the bus was deregistered. I believe the rationale is to prevent someone from using it to aid them in criminal activities. It's an SBS number plate, who would use it. But the law is the law. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And a little fun fact: This bus was APAD registered, which means that Malaysian authorities allow it to enter Malaysia for cross-border bus services. However, the bus was never permanently assigned to those routes, often appearing as a spare. It's last permanent assignment was Service 16, stabled at Ulu Pandan Depot.
I wonder what justifies them charging 472 dollars a night for unimpressive facilities and in my opinion, a very underwhelming experience, when five star hotels charge less than that but provide you with so much more and better too.
Sekizenkan Kashoutei costs around the same and you get a full course dinner and breakfast, access to 3 onsens, and it's all steeped in deep culture and history :') i can't imagine a singaporean wanting to sleep in a bus for close to 500, much less a tourist... so idk who this is for? thank u for ur sacrifice Ghib Ojisan 😭
Hello Ghib san, blessed & happy wedding anniversary to you & your wife🎎 Thank you for featuring this bus hotel at Changi Village. I do agree with you, for hotel rate $400 plus/night is really expensive!!! Without breakfast provided, no clean bedsheets, no cutlery & can be noisy and also of little privacy if people peeping through the windows. Although it's nice to be near to the beach. The company should lower the room rates considering it's really out of town area😮
Thanks Ghib for doing this so that we don't need to. For that kinda of price point and quality....its Sentosa Shangri-la anytime man....what a ripped off
Always love your most honest review without any string attached. That being said, with your dine in, now we know why there are stains on bedsheet and couch from previous guests. 😆
This might be a hit if the price per night is around $150 without breakfast.. with changi hawker nearby, I think locals going for staycay would rather go to the hawker for food..
Honest review is not complaining. Bed sheet ,pillows shouldn’t hv any stain on it,that’s unhygienic n it’s classified as a high end hotel? For novelty,it’s a cool concept but pricing is too high, don’t think it will survived if pricing is not adjusted to the $200 range. Who needs a bbq for a one or 2 night stays? No amenities,no pool, nothing except the Changi river, u will b better off staying at MBS for another $100+ more….
Garbage hotel. Boycott and let them shut down. Don't even support. 400+ a night can get you a nicer luxurious hotel. How dirty this is and how cheap it feels. Disgusting. Rather book chalet for a cheaper price or a higher end hotel. Thank you Ghib for sacrificing your money and time for this nonsense hotel.
Can someone explain why would anyone actually pay $400 plus to stay on a bus in Singapore? Your home should be more comfortable than this. The saving grace of this “hotel” is Changi Village hawker centre. Other than that nothing special.
Aah Changi village , there use to be a chalet behind the coffee shop. Not sure if is still around. Cost like $20 per day if I remember correctly. The room is ok but night time si bei jialat. All the cockroaches from outside will start to roam in your room.
Have they considered the housekeeping and maintenance of said space is going to be horrendous before deciding the concept and branding it as luxury? Interesting of an idea but not viable imo
They're just banking on the novelty of having an entire bus converted into a hotel room. Not missing out on anything really, I wouldn't even recommend it to tourists.
Too pricey. At the sofa area, the decoration and fitting look cheap and not well arranged. Instead of buses, they can use stack up containers as 3 or 4 stars hotel to maximise the space available. My 2 cents worth. I prefer to stay in proper hotel unless some changes can be made to make it more luxurious.
Thanks for showing us this new hotel concept, the interior looks relatively nice, but the location is a little off, I love Changi Village but wouldn’t thought of staying there in this new concept hotel, and above all, the price point is way too high, in my personal opinion. Nevertheless, I wish it would take off! ❤
Hi Ghib,, wah Bus Hotel n 472$,,, n without breakfast,, 高い よ, but its for the fun experience for some people that dont mind spending money, 私 無理 です、、😂。anyway thks for the bus hotel tour,, Happy Holiday soon to you and your family Ghib, 日本🇯🇵 の 家族 にもう よろしく ね🎉🙇🍾🍶🎄😅
There are several konbinis at Changi Village that sells charcoals and bbq items such as tongs, kipas, butter, satay, chicken wings, sausages, etc. etc.
Happy anniversary! Your content is well-crafted, effectively addressing key points about the appeal and practicality of staying in a bus converted into a luxurious hotel. The concern about cleanliness, especially with stained bed sheets is disgusting, adds a relevant and visceral dimension to your review. The consideration of public perception viewing buses as regular transport not desirable as hotel, especially when comparing to similarly priced luxurious 5-star hotels. The suggestion of a more altruistic approach, advocating for donating the buses to countries in need of transportation rather than pursuing profit, adds depth and a commendable ethical perspective to the thoughtful critique of the concept. The humorous moment with Tiger Beer staring at you( drink me ) adds a amusing element to your overall content😂😂
At this price, both doors should be usable and open like a regular bus door. From the outside, tap the room key/NFC dongle on the door cock. From the inside, press "bus stop" by the door to open the door. Maybe can change the motor to be gentler-sounding. Other "bus stop" buttons could be to trigger room service. Bonus would be to install a bus simulator (maybe Euro Truck simulator? I'm not an expert on these.) at the driver's seat that makes use of the actual steering wheel etc.
I’m glad I live in Singapore and I’ll never do a staycation here. Take that money and use it either in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta or Bangkok. Pity the foreigners paying ridiculous prices for basic boutique hotels here
S$440 per night, i think it's quite expensive, we are travelling by RC cruise, 3 person in one balcony cabin, 5 days 4 night, it's cost $750 per person, food are free, and some activities are free too.
Ojisan, this bus hotel so cool, hope they improve it by having more trees for privscy or having a bus for buffet or dining and a bus gym or a lounge for party and maube a double decker room etc. I hope you bring your wife to lazarus island hotel stay similat to this pne Cheers
Given that they've just started off the lack of food is... probably marginally forgivable, but having stained sheets within a month is crazy, given that you'd expect sheets to be swapped out and washed between customers, or even between nights. It also doesn't lean into its niche as hard as you'd expect it to, with the bus themeing dying out after well... it being a bus. Kinda sad there's no facilities too though. Staff behaviour is also concerning, like I know you're supposed to get privacy by drawing the curtains but at the very least the staff shouldn't be peeking in?? 😭Could probably be fixed with tinted windows I guess, or ad wraps if they wanna go the authentic bus experience :p
The price is quite expensive for only 1 bedroom. They should get a double deck bus with 2 bedroom on the top 1 below 1 living room. To be honest I will not spend this price in this bus hotel. No room service, no table to have my meal and not really clean. 😅😅
That's not next door. That's so far away at Changi Airport which is on the other side. Village hotel is the one that's next door to where this bus resort is.

You forgot: instead of a bus, they could use rooms located in a large building with facilities like a pool, gym, bar etc. you know, like a hotel.
@@Bingpot_Cowabungawe're still maintaining the USP which caters to bus fans. The problem isnt with the idea but the execution. A typical hotel business is more investment heavy than this model. You're talking abt a whole building.
The buses should have 1 way mirrors outside so people cant look in but guests can still look out at view & have privacy so dont even need curtains
Don’t have to feel paiseh for being a Japanese commenting about the cleanliness of the bus hotel. I am a local and for the price you are paying, the cleanliness is really very bad. Just give your honest thoughts and be true to your viewers. Keep up the good videos!
What are they thinking? This price just too ridiculous. I don't think the business will survive 😂
Thanks for the informative review! For 472, the stains on the bed and sofa are clearly unacceptable especially in the absence of other facilities like the gym and swimming pool.
The price so shocking that my wife will slap me with her slippers that I booked this place instead of MBS
😂
😂😂😂🤣

Very comprehensive review! 👍🏻👏 Heard about this bus hotel recently now got to see it
This video definitely will reach the management of the bus hotel, and get the things down, with these kind of price is easily to get a chalet
Yes, the number plates are real. These buses used to do cross border routes from Singapore to Malaysia
Too expensive. Agree with you it is a nice concept but for that price, they should use better quality equipment, fix the cleanliness and get rid of those ants. Hopefully the mgmt will address some of these concerns you have identified. 😢
Nothing in the bus attracts me at all...I much rather stay at the Ritz Carlton..lol! Happy Anniversary to you and your wife Ghib!
Thanks for the review Ghib!
Paying hotel price for chalet quality really cmi…. Many hotels offer breakfast with same price, better views & room services 😅
Thanks for your review. Should have double decker buses as well. Would be great for family ... I guess. Happy anniversary❤

No soap, so many stains, odd pilows and bed, ants, kaypoh staff, no room service and cheap amenities? Yeap. Im with you.
Thanks very much 😂 now we know to avoid this trap
Not worth the price for $472 a night staying there 😅
With this price tag it better come with a bus captain and moving bus to bring me places 😂
Ya esp.its not so cool to have u paid for brfast n then u have to accept them saying becoz they jux opened in Dec.so havent get it ready...😅
@kellytoh4932 that's sg for you nowadays, no accountability
Singapore is always a ripoff
Totally agreed. Not worth

Good honest no holds barred review 💯
This feels more like a chalet than hotel. I wonder who their target market is.
i love how positive you are!
Insightful and good review for further improvement esp breakfast
1:20 feels like a bus interchange, just without the hot air from the bus exhausts and without rude bus drivers 😅
You can sit at the bus driver's seat and shout at other guests xD
At this price point, I rather stay in Shangri-La to enjoy the full resort facilities.
Those stains were unacceptable.
Maybe they can get the windows to be tinted? And also put the ant killing baits to combat against ants? But overall the interior looks pretty amazing.
Thanks Ghib for doing this so that we don't need to. For that kinda of price point and quality....its Sentosa Shangri-la anytime man....what a ripped off
The hotel having a bathtub in front of the bed definitely makes it a love hotel 🤣
as a singaporean im really sorry for my country charging such high prices for a stupid hotel like this
LuxurReally Hotel stay. Well, thanks for reviewing it for us all. Happy Anniversary!
Great content!
Always love your most honest review without any string attached. That being said, with your dine in, now we know why there are stains on bedsheet and couch from previous guests. 😆
Those are huge busses
There is actually a shop next to the hawker Centre that sells charcoal and all kinds of food for bbq. So you could have used the pit.
For that price, I would prefer a high floor room with beautiful view outside the window.
They used retired SBST Scania K230UB buses.
This might be a hit if the price per night is around $150 without breakfast.. with changi hawker nearby, I think locals going for staycay would rather go to the hawker for food..
I love videos that tell the truth.👍
HiSense and Midea are China brands. Yes this is SG for you. Pay alot of money for very little returns. And I fully agree with the cleaniness part.
If this is luxury, then what is Raffles, Fullerton, Shangri La?
Love the concept and novelty of the stay but at that price I’d rather stay at the Shangri-La. Pity because I like Changi Village area. Great review!
P.S. Happy Anniversary! 🎉

Thank you for sacrificing your anniversary with your missus for making this interesting video
If it double decker i may consider.. 2x the people stay and share the cost also the view from 2nd level will be different from this..
Double decker would’ve been really cool!

And that Changi Food Centre is NOTHING. All the tasty good old foods were long gone.
This looks like a motorhome. l used to rent a motor home in NZ, and it cost us only around $80+ per day. 😂😂
Thank you for liking our satay❤
Hisense and Midea are major electronic brand in China, especially Midea. You can find a lot of Midea in Malaysia now though.

Wow thats so crap. And I also heard its the place where alot of local lowly educated yp teens go there to fight and lose virginity. 🤮🤮🤮
Hahaha, that's why got stain marks on the bedsheets ..... because the guests are eating on the bed !!😂
Have they considered the housekeeping and maintenance of said space is going to be horrendous before deciding the concept and branding it as luxury? Interesting of an idea but not viable imo

I just stayed two nights there. Its convinient near the shops, and also have a bbq pit.
love to grab kopi from this brand (cup) in the coffeeshop: will not go wrong
well done!! well done!! very impressive!!
I just subscribed ❤❤❤
It will be cool if the krycsn open the main door that you always enter

Might as well spend a few hours sleeping in my car. FOC

Better convert to hourly one .. sure boom
I agree with you....superb location for couples and adulterous looking for a short-time stay ...
Malaysian here. Man, for that price you could have got soooo much more in Desaru, taking into account the RM v SGD exchange rate 😊
For the price the mini bar better be free. In fact for that price they should let you drive the bus as well.
I’m glad I live in Singapore and I’ll never do a staycation here. Take that money and use it either in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta or Bangkok. Pity the foreigners paying ridiculous prices for basic boutique hotels here
The experience is exceptional despite the price.
Don’t think it will last.
Price, location, facilities, ambience, services just don’t feel right.
The Indian food he ate at Dynamic Restaurant is awesome! Especially their crab...!
S$440 per night, i think it's quite expensive, we are travelling by RC cruise, 3 person in one balcony cabin, 5 days 4 night, it's cost $750 per person, food are free, and some activities are free too.
Stains are probably left by bus nerds. 😂
those bus enthusiast will be having a jolly good time
Low class "hotel" charging high class price
crazy expensive. I would be willing to pay if it's around $200.
Ojisan, this bus hotel so cool, hope they improve it by having more trees for privscy or having a bus for buffet or dining and a bus gym or a lounge for party and maube a double decker room etc.
I hope you bring your wife to lazarus island hotel stay similat to this pne
Cheers
$472 for a night? This is daylight robbery. I defintely would not pay so much living in a bus. Maybe some idiot might do it.
Unique experience but very pricey… Too expensive already lah. Don’t think it’s worth it unless you are a bus fan.
😭Could probably be fixed with tinted windows I guess, or ad wraps if they wanna go the authentic bus experience :p
thank you for your review, IMHO I feel its nothing more then a novelty motel. It'll shutdown after 12 to 18 months
The price is quite expensive for only 1 bedroom. They should get a double deck bus with 2 bedroom on the top 1 below 1 living room. To be honest I will not spend this price in this bus hotel. No room service, no table to have my meal and not really clean. 😅😅
Wow, never knew we had all these weird hotels
No wonder got stain on the bedsheets la. And ants. You all eat on the bed aiyo 😂
i think the Crowne Plaza at Changi Airport next door gives u more bang for ur buck ... $250-270 maybe I"ll try
That's not next door. That's so far away at Changi Airport which is on the other side. Village hotel is the one that's next door to where this bus resort is.
面白いホテルですねー!
このお値段ならピカピカに掃除した上で朝ごはん付けて欲しい…。蟻さんと一緒に泊まりたくはないなぁ。その辺がキチンとしてたら楽しめそうです😆
