I also agree with day 16. The mob that killed you was exceedingly poorly made. As someone who has used AdventureZ before, I can attest to that explosion being able to kill you in full protection 4 dragon armor without activating a totem. Instantly. It makes me think that the explosion actually does unblockable void damage. If those stupid broken things decide to explode, you are dead. There is no way to prevent it. 17:27 hi im going to make a REALLY LONG COMMENT because some people cant tell the difference between deliberately unfair game design and a hardcore game. So lets examine how this kind of attack is completely unjustified in a hardcore gamemode. Not from a standpoint of “how do i think hardcore should be played” but purely from a game design perspective. Yes the point of hardcore is to die and loose everything. HOWEVER that generally operates under the assumption that the player is extremely experienced in all aspects of the game, enough to warrant the punishment. this here is un-telegraphed, unpredictable, and a completely unnecessary waste of the player’s one life. It isn’t “kill the player as punishment for being reckless or careless”. It isnt “kill them and teach them what they did wrong”. Here, it is a spontaneous and unpredictable death, that completely resets all progression as punishment instead of teaching the player how to not make the mistake again. This isnt a “difficult challenge” or a dangerous enemy, this is just BS difficulty because the mod developer assumed everyone would automatically know how to fight it properly. Its a trial by fire. It looks a lot like a blaze, so the fact it cant be fought like one is a completely jarring turn. And odds are that by the time the player learns that they cant use traditional techniques, they are already dead and on a subsequent WORLD. Not a subsequent set of gear. A subsequent run entirely. A punishment for a failure they didn’t see coming. And were unable to prepare for. Even a range of experienced players would probably immediately die to this without any indication that the enemy is such a terrible threat. To make a guarantee one shot attack fair in a game that isn’t inherently designed to consistently and randomly kill a player, like “I want to be the guy” it needs to be able to be anticipated in Some regard IN A BLIND RUN. For example, in Souls games, the vast majority of enemies and bosses can indeed one or two shot a player. But they have a dedicated pattern that can he learned with enough trial and error. These games also dont tend to send you completely back to the beginning of the campaign with one death. They have checkpoints periodically placed throughout. This means that it allows the player some room to actually learn the enemy patterns and accommodate themselves to when they need to dodge or retreat to avoid these deaths. The entire reason totems of undying exist in hardcore minecraft is to help offer this leeway to learn about how to combat a threat. It’s not to “keep you forever immortal in hardcore”. it’s to “enable a player to actually adapt to a threat they were unaware of or were unprepared for”. Sure you can farm totems. But thats due to exploiting their renewability. A renewability in place so that they don’t completely run out in a long standing or multiplayer world. Which would effectively render the entire mechanic obsolete or ineffective at some point. This is what’s referred to as a “pity mechanic” and as stared, even Souls games have these features. When you take these things, like armor, totems, etc, and completely ignore them out of the blue, it is almost NEVER fair. Even BOSSES in normal Minecraft don’t do that. They at least let you tank a hit in full enchanted Diamond and attempt to run. With all this said, it really shouldn’t have been labeled as hardcore if he was going to cheat death. However it is at least UNDERSTANDABLE (not okay, but understandable) in a slight sense here as he didn’t cheat death outside of a brutally unfair and poorly designed enemy encounter.
Small tip for your Truffle/Running Shoes - When you have speed, jumping slows you down. I'm not sure if you had a mod somewhere that changed this but hey, potentially being faster is potentially being faster!
Oh cool! The Harvester is from the Minecraft Dungeons game. It absorbs souls and then gives you a Nova explosion when you use it, pushing things back and damaging them around you. It's great.
I did a double take when he mentioned dunamancy, I LOVE Critical Role and a Minecraft video is the last place I expected to reference it. Cultured and based!
Day 16 was not your fault, like you said it was from full health in diamond armor and you also had fought it before and it didn't do that, so you had no reason to believe that it could.
7:14 I think legundo has ptsd from Horror Island now.... Keep up the good work dude, I have seriously watched every last one of your hundred days series - some of the best out there!
Legundo: “I’m an inchling lumberjack.” My brain, continuously: “I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK I sleep all night, I work all day I cut down trees, I eat my lunch I go to the lavatory On Wednesdays I go shopping And have buttered scones for tea”
You mentioned the idea of merfolk setting boats on fire.... Now I have a DEEP motivation to develop a dark fantasy world with these type of characteristics
Legundo, you know SO much about Minecraft, but I really appreciate you explaining it in a way that us newbies can still understand and enjoy the story! Thank you!
Those mimics have a super nice loot drop: a hat trinket that increases your looting level by 1. So with it on, you'll always have looting 1 at least, but you can also overcap beyond what your enchantments can do with it. Plus it's a little leprechaun hat so that's always a plus.
for people saying he shouldn't have carried on after day 16, just stop watching after that day and boom its like a regular hardcore playthrough :) or just watch the extra hour+ of content and enjoy it. This modpack is huge and I'm glad this video explored so much of it with the twist of the changing origins, I'd be pretty disappointed to get a taste of this awesome modpack for it to end 16 minutes into the video
So, I'd like to see a 100 days challenge... *Where death isn't a consequence.* Softcore Minecraft; Keep inventory: On. Additionally, play on an amplified world, and any mods you'd like. Perhaps, origins? The main challenge is not to survive, or thrive, but thrive around DYING. I recall a mod that makes you a demon or whatever, where the nain gimmick is dying, and moving kn to possess a mob. Can't remember what it's called, but hey. You can try it, for fun. It'll be interesting to see how your playstyle will change in response.
Me excited to see what will happen in the 100 days series lore Legundo: and on my final day as a piglin merchant I stepped back into the nether to rejoin my people Me: welp lore to a different thing then what I wanted. Cool.
24:40 you can hear the fall sound, you hit the ground first, and then you basically walked into the water :D if there was fall damage, you would've died there. Moot point considering there was no fall damage though :)
Very interesting challenge! For your next multiverse adventure, have you considered the modpack Regrowth? It gives you the challenge of regrowing an almost entirely dead world.
I'm only 28:52 into the video, so I'm not sure yet if you found this out later in it or not, but the zombies in that mushroom structure you found can drop their armor which has protection 8 on it which you would be able to put on a book, then put on your good armor.
I do think day 16 does count, but at the same time it was something you would never know without knowing ahead of time, so this is a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. These type of Challenges are made in the mindset to be entertaining and you did in fact make it to be entertaining.
17:40 As someone who has tried to make 100 day videos before, i know how scary this decision is in these playthroughs and just wanted to say i support your decision to keep going lol
This is the first TH-cam video of yours that I've stumbled upon and the fact that you made a Critical Role reference in it. Makes me want to continue watching. This is epic, and is it Thursday yet?
One time when I was playing a modded server with a couple friends of mine, I went to the nether unsure of what to expect The first enemy I encountered after leaving the portal was a Blaze Guardian, who blew up just like on day 16 and oneshot me glad I'm not the only one that thinks that that's a liiiiiiiiittle bit cheesy
Very late comment but for those who doesn't understand how to fight the blaze guardians in day 16. All you have to do is wait until they stop being on fire then attack. The shields are also worthless on the blaze all you've gotta do is hit it on the head and it won't block your attacks. It's honestly one of the easier mobs in AdventureZ imo

1:06:13 When he can't find the trident anywhere, but it's literally in his inventory
This gives me Doctor Who regeneration vibes. I love it. YOU SHOULD DO A 100 DAYS AS A TIME LORD WITH THE NEW TARDIS MOD!!!
Legundo: " Now I NAILED this water landing" as he hits the ground and backs up into it. XD
7:14 I think legundo has ptsd from Horror Island now....
Keep up the good work dude, I have seriously watched every last one of your hundred days series - some of the best out there!
"OHHHH that's right! You hate me!" The way he said it had me tears
Legundo: “I’m an inchling lumberjack.”
My brain, continuously: “I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK
I sleep all night, I work all day
I cut down trees, I eat my lunch
I go to the lavatory
On Wednesdays I go shopping
And have buttered scones for tea”
Day 90:
Piglin with the Merchant class is quite on brand, and just sounds like a separate mob in of itself
You mentioned the idea of merfolk setting boats on fire.... Now I have a DEEP motivation to develop a dark fantasy world with these type of characteristics
DO IT
That would be awesome
Does there happen to be a modlist? I may be being stupid but this set up looks incredibly fun to play.
agree
in the description :D
i only know that 1 of the mods he's playing is the Mc Dungeons mod, and thats about it
just a warning for anyone that uses forge like I do, there's a few mods in the modlist that are fabric and don't have a forge port.

YES, 100 DAYS BABY!!!!! let the lore continue.

Creeper: I can go boom!
Blaze Guardian: Amateur.
Great video legundo! Love this concept
Legundo, you know SO much about Minecraft, but I really appreciate you explaining it in a way that us newbies can still understand and enjoy the story! Thank you!
DAY 16 WAS BULL! that was insane no judgement mr. gundo
Those mimics have a super nice loot drop: a hat trinket that increases your looting level by 1. So with it on, you'll always have looting 1 at least, but you can also overcap beyond what your enchantments can do with it.
Plus it's a little leprechaun hat so that's always a plus.
"Witches are my curse... Sorry Joy" Mmm noted. Noted.
Love all the dungeons and delving combat, gotta look at more dungeon mods!
Yessssssss!! Early gang!
1:17:19 Splash Uncraftable Potion [20s of Pure Hatred]
"blazeborn cant get poisoned"
him: "Yeah im not fighting those witches"
Ptsd
But they ain't immune to potions of harming.
as soon as you made an inheritance cycle reference, i knew i had to sub, it's literally my favorite book series
for people saying he shouldn't have carried on after day 16, just stop watching after that day and boom its like a regular hardcore playthrough :) or just watch the extra hour+ of content and enjoy it. This modpack is huge and I'm glad this video explored so much of it with the twist of the changing origins, I'd be pretty disappointed to get a taste of this awesome modpack for it to end 16 minutes into the video
So, I'd like to see a 100 days challenge...
*Where death isn't a consequence.*
Softcore Minecraft; Keep inventory: On.
Me excited to see what will happen in the 100 days series lore
Legundo: and on my final day as a piglin merchant I stepped back into the nether to rejoin my people
Me: welp lore to a different thing then what I wanted. Cool.
so happy it’s on curseforge, generally so enjoyable
"I can't find my trident. No idea where it is. Its not in my inventory or anything. Nope, it must be gone forever."
1:29:20 Yeah, it would be really crazy if a creeper killed you through a totem of undying.
There's probably a mod for that.
Me: *jaw to the floor, questioning how I didn't see this sooner*
Legundo: "I can tell your excited, do me a favor and- "
YOU READ MY MIND WHAT
oh my god the chest mimics are SO scary, especially the first time
remember that as an enderian you have enhanced range so you can kill enemies without them hitting you yet or such
Legundo and losing things that are obviously in his inventory. Name a more iconic duo.
I am using the piglin origin in this modpack and I am stacked! This is the best!
Day 16 was NOT your fault, doesn't count. ;)
Day 16 was like, no. He's still alive, yeah...
Wow, I can't believe you dreamed "Day 16" so Vividly!
100 days as the village hero? Basically build up a village into a kingdom with the Craft Mod and constant raids, ect
Day 16 will NEVER count
You gotta do this again! It’s just such a fun concept
I loved the video. and i loved the musical episode!! Im so hyped for more Dominion
the immediate rocket spam right after the vexes almost got you made me lose it lol, incredibly relatable
That chest made me jump so high. 10/10 would not wanna see it again.
13:54 love the Prey reference
24:40 you can hear the fall sound, you hit the ground first, and then you basically walked into the water :D if there was fall damage, you would've died there.
Moot point considering there was no fall damage though :)
1:14:01 this diddnt make you giggle, but I am a bee so I am an acceptance
1:26:46 if legundo is a piglin that means hes avenging his piglin bretherin by defeating the main enemy, the wither.
Thanks for posting this to curseforge! I was actually thinking, man, I want to try this out
Very interesting challenge! For your next multiverse adventure, have you considered the modpack Regrowth? It gives you the challenge of regrowing an almost entirely dead world.
this one was insanely entertaining, great job on the video!
Piglin and merchant? Sounds somewhat familiar for some reason
Me trying not to sub to random people before I watch the first 10 seconds: I can’t…HOLD IT BACK!
best video so far! Keep up the amazing work!
TAKING WHAT FROM ALL DIRECTIONS?!
If I didn’t know any better, I would have said that intro was written by Forge Labs.
If Ariel lights a boat on fire in the live action Little Mermaid movie, it's a 10/10 movie.
I'm only 28:52 into the video, so I'm not sure yet if you found this out later in it or not, but the zombies in that mushroom structure you found can drop their armor which has protection 8 on it which you would be able to put on a book, then put on your good armor.
Is there a mod for that? As far as I know it is not possible to take enchantments from armor and put them on a book
@@piolit06 The Charm mod adds that feature. There are more than likely other mods that do too.
The way I Squealed at the mention of Eragon!!! I LOVE those books!!!
This is the first TH-cam video of yours that I've stumbled upon and the fact that you made a Critical Role reference in it. Makes me want to continue watching. This is epic, and is it Thursday yet?
Bidet! Welcome!
Trident: Don't mind me~~~
One time when I was playing a modded server with a couple friends of mine, I went to the nether unsure of what to expect
The first enemy I encountered after leaving the portal was a Blaze Guardian, who blew up just like on day 16 and oneshot me
glad I'm not the only one that thinks that that's a liiiiiiiiittle bit cheesy
Good old AdventureZ.
Making the nether almost suck more than Better Nether
YES ANOTHER DARK PRISMARINE LOVER
Lol Legundo i died the same way in Better Minecraft as you did on day 16 and honestly i had exactly the same reaction as you did :D
