This movie looks like a commercial for Minecraft. Not in the way all video game movies are lowkey commercials but literally a commercial you'd see on Disney channel or something.
Agree. The movie looks more focused on the idea of “wow isn’t Minecraft so cool you should go buy it and play it” instead of “let’s use Minecraft lore to tell a unique and groundbreaking story”
@@AggressivelyAveragethey should have did what the creators of the mario brothers movie did but no they just turned minecraft into an action movie where 95% of the environment is just greenscreens (yes movie that take place in the real world use greenscreens too) and the movie probably was allready completely finished months ago they just want us to wait a full year to get everybody hyped up my mom has a tv show that was finished filming like last year and they wont release it until 2026 (sorry for yapping tho i hope this ends up being a genuinely good movie when it comes out finally)
the fact that in the same week a fan made a trailer for fan made "minecraft movie" is released and it actually looks like minecraft while official trailer looks like ass like the timing couldn't been better XDDDDDDDD
If the FNAF movie was sorta the good ending of a video game movie that took an incredibly long time to make, then the Minecraft movie is the bad ending
I agreed with you up until you said they should have learned from the Super Mario movie, and gone fully animated. while I agree that it would have been 10 million times better animated, you can't expect them to fully change their film 10 years in the making, because a year before their movie released a fully animated movie based on a game did really well. it was too far into production to change course.
Bro if you look it up they didn’t even cast the movie until 2023 this is not even close to 10 years in the making. Also the Sonic movie was pretty much finished and they still went back in and entirely changed the character design so there’s no such thing as “too far into production”
@@AggressivelyAverage dang, I didn't realize that. I guess you're right about being able to change the movie very late into production. it was probably more about most of their budget already being used, so they just couldn't change it after filming and still be profitable.
It’s literally gonna be the borderlands movie all over again. I guarantee it! Granted, I’m kind of one of the few people who liked that movie despite a very rushed third act that didn’t make a lot of sense at all but I still thought it was okay at best. But you can’t top Jack Black with a beard! It’s too funny that words! Lol
