My favorite Bible format in any translation! Wonderful paper and printing and for a great price! If I could only choose one NKJV Bible, this would be it! Way to go Thomas Nelson! ❤
This Bible is so underrated. From the goatskin quality, the beautiful colors of the ribbons, and the layout of the text, this Bible cannot be beat for the price.
Thanks for your excellent review. I'm fond of end of verse reference with translation notes at the bottom. It's much easier to navigate compared with a reference column.
I finally was able to get this Bible. When I got saved in 84 a friend suggested a New King James Open Bible. Unfortunately it got wet when our water heater flooded the room. This is the first nkjv Bible I've had since then. I didn't know how much I missed studying from it. I lead a Bible study class and look forward to using this Bible. Thanks for your review. PS I still have that old open Bible and use it for the book reviews.
Awesome, this is a great Bible, I'm glad you were able to get it. God bless you and keep you in His Word. May He use you to share with others the incredibles wonders of Christ ✝️
I have the little " leather like" edition....and IF I could have this bible with a bit of note taking space it would be PERFECT, but this is, by far, my favorite and the premier MIGHT be my ASK for Christmas this year. I so love this format.
This looks like a great mid size option. I love large print and a smaller footprint. The verse by verse makes to good for highlighting favorite passages too.
I'm impressed with the Comfort Print; I like white space and larger print. I plan to buy a Leathersoft edition to mark and highlight. I can't bring myself to mark my higher quality Bibles. Thanks for a thorough review. NKJV is my favorite.
Thank you for your comment! The NKJV is my preferred translation in English too. I do mark in some of my premiums, even though not in all of them. It was hard to start though :) LOL
This is such a great bible for the price. One thing I would have liked to have seen is chapter numbers in red and also verse numbers in red like the topaz does. Just adds a little variation, is attractive, and makes verse location a breeze. But overall I like this Bible because it’s smaller than the topaz and I love end of verse.
I’ve been wanting this in the Premier Collection since I first bought the imitation leather. Its one of the few smaller layouts that work for my older eyes, probably because of the boldness of the print and the line spacing. Thank you for your review. I have one on order that was shipped today. I can’t wait for it to arrive!
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou! My favorite layout! I have this in the compact and love it. FYI Randy Brown told me the covers are thinner now because they are no longer using padding under the leather. I agree, the older ones were so much better.
Great review!! I’ve been struggling to decide which TN NKJV Bible to get next. I might end up with several, but I must budget. This one is standing out and is on sale, so win win! I have the TN WM NKJV and it’s really my favorite mostly because of the comfort print. It’s got so many of my notes, from lots of study. So, I want a smaller one to grab when I just want to read the Word. I never think your videos are long. They are very informative and interesting!
Thank you so much for your kindness, my sister 🤗 Yes, this is very nice Bible! It's hard to choose with so many good options out there, I totally understand 🙏🏽 If you do end up getting this one, let me know how you like it 😉 God bless you and keep you in His arms of love ✝
The price should come down in a few months. In a few weeks after the release you should also find used ones like new on Amazon. I'll keep an eye out in case I see something 😉 Right now I believe that Christianbook is the less expensive option 🙏🏽
good words at the end there, crucified for us, you and me. that's also what the baptism symbolises, after we confess Christ and get baptism, being submerged is our old nature died with Christ, and when we come back up out of the water, we are a new man created in Christ Jesus. i have a NKJV, i haven't had one for years, but when i got mine i didn't realize how thick it was. it is a single column reference bible, but i think the design on the front cover is what stood out. it was only like 30 dollars, but i was a little disappointed it didn't have the words of Christ in red. so im hoping to get another that ain't so thick and heavy., but since i already have the NKJV plus a KJV, im blessed in that regard. im thinking of getting the NASB, it's not a bible i grew up with, but I've read bits and pieces. im used to KJV, NKJV, and NIV, but these days people put down the NIV. i do have the CSB by Holman, it's a thinline bible meant to be read while relaxing. speaking of Holman, i tend to like how they put a bible together. the KJV we have is from them, it's a Giant Print reference bible, but it's not very heavy or thick. the NKJV by Thomas i have is shorter, but it's thicker and heavier. that's what happens when you buy something based on looks, not good lol. other than that it's not a bad bible, but it's probably best suited to be read at a desk.
Thank you for watching and for sharing 🤗 May God bless you greatly as you read His Word and put it in practice in your life. May you come closer to Jesus everyday ✝
Hi dear Peter, I believe that the paper is very comparable but I don't have the leather soft edition so I cannot give you a for sure answer 👀 Sorry 🙏🏽 I hope you are doing well my friend 🤗🤗
i have the NKJV, Comfort Print Single-Column Reference Bible premier collection in brown and its Black Letter text throughout. its kinda hard to find verses tho since its not truly a verse by verse.
Could you tell me if any of these come in the NASB? Also I am usually only comfortable with KJV or NASB. Is the NKJV faithful to KJV only with more modern language usage?
Hi, and thank you so much for your comment and questions! To my knowledge these do not come in the NASB, since Thomas Nelson does not publish that translation. They do publish the KJV, but I'm not sure if they have this particular Bible in the KJV, I don't think so. They have many other that are comparable though. Concerning the NKJV translation, it is an update from the KJV, and I guess you can say with more modern language. It follows the same manuscripts commonly known as Textus Receptus. I love it very much, even though having worked with the Bible in many languages I am convinced that no translation is perfect. We just need to do our best to study and, in my humble opinion, enjoy the opportunity of comparing different translations. Blessings to you!
Hi there, sorry for the late reply. Here are the official dimensions of the Bible: 8.50 X 5.38 (inches). If you measure by the cover it will be something close to 9 by 6 inches (I just measured it). In terms of thickness it's a bit over an inch and a half. I hope this helps!
@@crucified4me Thank you for taking the time to measure it and respond. I am looking to buy my first high-end Bible so I wanted to make sure I don't end up spending $100 on a Bible too large. God bless.
@@silasrichards144 Not immediately, you will have to train it a little but eventually it will. You're not taking my time at all, I'm happy to help in any way I can 🙏🏽 Blessings!!
This one is a verse by verse, meaning each verse starts in its own line. So there's really no clear indication of the paragraphs, even though you can discern them when looking at their ending, not that much at the beginning.
@@crucified4me Thanks! Do you happen to know if there's a NKJV in single column format with end--of-verse references, all 70,000+ of them? I realize there are over 300,000 verse-to-verse references known, so the specific smaller number bibles have to restrict themselves to might not matter too much. Great video BTW!
