    It’s amazing how many beautiful editions of the KJV are continuing to be printed and developed. God truly has and continues to bless this translation.

      Give there are no royalties to pay, and the typeset and text should have been proofed year ago for any Bible, the KJV should be the best for the money.

    If that green Schuyler came in a KJV I'd pop for one right now.

    I don’t know if you’ve already done this, but I’d love to see a video comparing all different Schuylers, especially the text blocks

      Hi Brian. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what I can do.

      @@BibleBuyingGuide Thank you! I’m looking at what KJVs they offer, but I’m still debating on which I like most. I’d really appreciate a comparison video.

    I bought the Black Leather version of that Thomas Nelson single column quite a while back and although it has become my "main" bible to take to Church I regrete not getting the premier edition for the better paper. Have the premier NKJV Personal Size Large Print which also has end of verse references and I love the paper in it. Our Church uses KJV though so I take the KJV single column to church but the paper in the premier NKJV is just better. Not crazy bout the red though. They need a black or brown skin premier for us boring people lol! That said I would still love to have the Premier no matter the color just for that paper

    Hi Randy - I've been browsing your channel for quite sometime but can't quite conclude on which Hand-size KJV bible that has high opacity to minimize bleed-through / ghosting during reading (I wear glasses) 🤓. I bought a Cambridge Emerald Text edition but found it wasn't as opaque as I'd like. Hopefully you could help me with a few leather options - Richard

      HI Richard. Thanks for watching! This is a tough one. Nothing comes to mind with high opacity in hand size, but there are a few that are more opaque than most. Typically, the reference editions get a better paper. Here are a few options:
      The TBS Windsor (partially because the font isn't as dark as most). - this might be the best option if you don't need a dark font.
      The TBS Westminster (partially because the font isn't as dark as most).
      The Thomas Nelson Compact Maclaren (it has a small font, though).
      The Thomas Nelson Sovereign (it's a little larger than hand-size, though).
      The Cambridge Concord (it's not line-matched, so there is more show-through on some pages, but it's still one of the best options).
      If I think of anything better I'll add them here.

    How come other translations have better formatting, even the footnotes etc(as in the Stridon) than the KJV? 40 years later, one publisher comes up with an actual paragraph format kjv, meanwhile other translations, seems to come up with better or my preferred formats within a decade or less?
    Just bringing up a first world problem, while i am all thumbs on my dumb phone......

    Between this red Bible & the Sovereign Wide Margin Bible, which paper is more opaque?

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  ปีที่แล้ว

      They're very close, but the red one looks slightly more opaque.

    You should compare the ESV preacher verse by verse

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I almost added that one, but with a larger block, no references and a wide margin it seemed like a different genre. I'll add it if I do another comparison.

      This one is better quality in materials. Id take this one unless writing space was the goal.

    Do you recommend me buying the KJV Personal Size Large PRint Reference Bible from Thomas Nelson or Should i get the Schuyler Treveris Bible?

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Kim. That's a tough one. The Schuyler is more elegant, but it's in a different price range. The TN has thicker paper, which many prefer, and since it's cheaper, it's easier to use without worying about it as much. Both are made well and are great for the money. I prefer to read from teh Schuyler, but I prefer the TN for study, preaching, etc.
