#FightLikeAGirl I also received benedryl, steroids and antinausea meds. The benedryl starting week 2 would knock me out so I slept through my treatments...lol. my hair started coming out day 10, so had my hubs shave it all off. Kept a swatch...you should keep one of the pink! We celebrated with an angelhair pasta dinner and had treats for the actual shave of licorice and pretzel sticks. Gross I know, but my son liked it. The first couple of days the steroids tend to keep you hyped up, which I took advantage of to get housekeeping done. Then was down until the next week. Keep up the great attitude! Im kinda reliving through you. Was telling my mom about you and got really emotional. Described myself as a cancer survivor! It hit hard, but good. Hang TOUGH!!!💗

Hi again! I really appreciate your positive attitude. I had a reaction to Taxol, it affected my breathing. The team flew into action, got me stable, upped my Benadryl, and all went well after that. It's great that you were able to have your husband with you! Mine gets to come in for the doctor consult prior and then must stay out during the treatment. All the best!

Hi Karen, my cancer was far less serious than yours, but chemo and radiation therapy lasted for three months--but it was wroth it, since eventually I was completely cured.

Hi Karen, Thank you so much for your videos. I have been on Citasplan chemo for the past 2 months and did well with that. Now, they have put me on Taxol and Carboplatin chemo. This is really rough to deal with. My head is sore and tingling so I figured my hair loss is coming. I can't eat and feel sick all the time. Glad to know I am not on this journey alone. Hugs!

Stay strong and positive! Taking 8mg of Zofran every 6 hours for the nausea worked for me. Don't sweat the hair loss! Have fun with it! I wish you all the best in your journey! I had a recurrence 18 months after my first round and went through the whole thing over again with positive results! I am now NED!

@@ARTbyKDR, Thanks so much for replying. This is rough. I will try to stay strong. I would like to find out if there is a cancer group that meets once a month for support. I love your videos! Love & Light!

@@sylviahall1717I belong to a Facebook support group that has been so much help to me. There are a number of uterine cancer groups on Facebook but the type of cancer we have is very rare and this is specifically for UPSC-Uterine Papillary serous carcinoma. Everyone is very helpful and informed! UPSC warriors are a small group but we are not alone. I encourage you to join this support Facebook group and I also would be very happy to answer any questions you have. You can do this!!

Hello, I had my first infusion 4 days ago, Friday , carbo and taxol. Had no allergic reaction to the drugs but thats probably because of the drugs they pump you up before chemo. I felt fine half Saturday but ohh my goodness by the evening my face was on fire, tomato red. Then came what it felt like a bad urinary infection, burning, burning, drinking a lot of water did not help, at some point I couldn't even hold my pee.If that wasn't bad enough by Sunday night I developed joint , bone pain, tingling , pins and needles !! OMG I literally cried in pain ! I knew that chemo won't be easy, but weakness, dizziness , pains ohh my heaven. How to deal with all this ?? I just had my first chemo , 5 to go and I just wanna run run run. If anyone is experiencing what Im please any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully by now you are feeling a bit better. The first few days of each chemo are the worst after the steroids wear off. Stay strong and positive! YOU CAN get through this!! This is a link to my video about the first week after chemo th-cam.com/video/p3fMUpxTKPs/w-d-xo.html
