Ok, but, i put the guitar cable first on the pedals and after on the input of the NS2 or i put the guitar cable into de input of the NS2 and the cable from the send of the NS2 plugged into the pedals before entering de amplifier input? Which one is the correct way? Of course, distortion, overdrives, fuzz and etc... not the delay and reverbs of course.
GREAT Question. So in this video rather than going into any other pedals we just went straight in. You answered your own question which is great, just carry on through the SEND to the INPUT of the next pedal in your chain. Where you put the NS-2 in your pedal chain is subjective as you may want to clamp the input signal going in, or tidy up the noise of any overdrives/boosts that may be adding unwanted noise to the signal. Hope this helps! - Sam
Hi Lewis! Try putting the EQ that you want in front of the amp after the send from the NS2 and into the amp and then the EQ that you want looped through the output and into the return on the amp. Its worth experimenting with what sounds best, but I hope this helps! - Sam
Ok I've been trying to hook my noise supressor up with the 4 cable method and I don't get much from it . It's like my signal has been cut almost completely
I usually put my delay through my effects loop so how would I put that in the signal? Would I send the signal from the noise gate to the return of the delay? Just a little confused on that aspect of it. Cause right now I'm using the gate in front of the amp and it definitely cleans the sound up but there's still a little bit of hum so I'm wondering if the 4 cable method would eliminate that. I also have a wah in front of the amp and a chorus pedal. The only pedal I use in the effects loop is the delay.
Amp Send > NS2 Output > Reverb/Delay > Amp Return. Compensate a little by upping the mix very slightly if the amount of supression is cutting your delay trails short. (This will generally only happen if the delayed signal is left to ring out and is often only very subtle)
@@HickiesMusicStore Idk man I did exactly what it said and when I turn the nose suppressor on it didn't do anything and I still hear buzz and a humming noise when I turn it on and off. I get way more noise reduction when I just use it in from of the amp and delay through effects loop. Unless I'm still doing something wrong but idk. I should also mention it's one of the cheap Beringher pedals but was made to emulate the Boss ns-2. So there basically the same circuits is what I've heard.
@@manicmurph oh dear! that's a shame. Are you based in Reading? we actually have an NS-2 in stock, you're welcome to bring in your pedal and compare the two- might be worth having a sit down with Sam who I'm sure could help you figure it out!
@@HickiesMusicStore Yeah it works in front of the amp when I use the output of the pedal to the input of the amp and the input goes into my wah and the wah goes into my guitar. Oh one other thing I noticed is that when you have shorter cables, there isn't as much noise as when you have longer cables. Does that make sense? I guess cause the signal isn't as long maybe idk. Or it could have been from this one cord I have that's older and longer when I tried to do the 4 cable method. I kinda want to try the sentry by tc electronics. I seen a review of that and that thing cut off the noise beautifully without the note deadening. And there's a lot you an do with it but it's pretty expensive right now.
Ok Sam, i turned it on and, the result was disappointing! I tried the two ways, first the cable into the NS2 and then the cable into the pedals and after to the NS2. I’ve lost tons of gain, the pedals loose their tones an characteristics and i still have noise and, even with the guitar volume closed and on mute function of the NS2, there’s a little bit of sound emerging from the amp and i used very good cables and exactly what I’ve learned from you.
Thanks for your feedback! What amplifier are you using and what power supply are you using for your pedals? Would be good to know what guitar you are using too and which pedals you are going for?
Also its worth trying to use the Output of the NS-2 as a chain to run your effects through to the fx return of the amp, so NS-2 output - pedals -FX return. Will do a video on this in a few days to clear this up for you and to help others, thanks so much for this feedback, as you are helping the channel grow by inspiring these kind of solutions! Hang on in there, and we'll get this nailed. :)

Awesome, thank you this helped so much!!
I’m wandering how to hook it up properly with a noise gate 4cable with the 6 band eq in the front of the amp and a parametric eq in the fx loop

How would I hook up a delay pedal into the fx loop while using this 4 cable method?
That's really effective!
Glad you found it useful!
hello, and with a kraken Victory v4 ? with pylon kma noise gate ans rowin noise gate?
Where would delay/reverb come into play in this setup? Would it be from the output of the NS2 -> Reverb/Delay -> Amp Return?
Thats exactly correct Ian! :)
WHAT IF I HAVE A WAH AND A BOSS TUNER ON THE BOARD.
