Bro you inspire me so much last season sophomore yr of high school I was on jv running a 12.01 100m and a 24.6 200m didn’t feel good but I’ve been training pretty hard this offseason hoping to get a sub 11.3 100m and sub 23.0 200m love the vids bro
Great work Joel. 60y old rectal cancer beater here. Those speed endurance hills are hard on your own. I know I did 5 x 200m in 34s with 1 Min breaks yesterday 37 degree heat. Lol. I'm a sprinter but going after a 800m in Late January. Hence the short breaks need 7x32sec by then. Keep up the work the results will come. 😊
Hey Joe I love your videos man and I know you’ve hurt your hamstring before. At practice yesterday morning in a 60m sprint I got a grade 2 strain in my hamstring. I felt the pop twice and can’t run anymore or really walk normally for that matter. As a fellow sprinter, what exercises and rehab did you do to heal it and come back stronger?
Ah I’m sorry to hear that! With hamstrings it’s better to be safe than sorry with rehab, so take your time and stick to a strict rehab programme, you’ll want to stay away from running for a couple weeks and focus on strengthening exercises, then gradually build up running pace from 60% week on week, keep up with Isometric holds (hamstring bridges etc) and stay patient!
From 9:35 onwards, what's the name of those adidas shorts? as i'm looking for a race pair for next season, or if you have any other recommendations I'd be grateful 👍
another great video, Ive got a question, WHats the diffearnce beetween of season and in season training in the gym? is off season more strength and building a base and in season more specififc?
Yeah pretty much, pre season we build up the foundation so strength, conditioning, endurance, then gradually switch over to specific speed work to sharpen up & reduce fatigue before racing
Yeah Creatine is allowed in T&F, it’s one of the safest supplements on the market, can get it from any major retailer as long as it’s InformedSport certified
mate, hope you are well. Such a pity that you don't have a faster colleague running next to you. You are fast but everyone around you is slower than you. I like your videos but you struggle when competing to faster sprinters. Management running from behind is key at your level so your mindset needs to be stronger than your muscles because you have the speed and power but your mindset can either take away your performance or improve it at 110% . Anyway, you are really good and very fast and everything will catch up with more training. Lastly, you move your arm too much, is like pulling from your arms when the arms only follows the legs. You should not feel any strain coming from the arms, your legs leads and you arm follows the movement coordinating your body and balancing it. The more freely you feel your body while running the faster you will be. At least that what happen to me when I have got really fast, I did run effortless. Top man.

That’s what it takes - Les winners is the intro song.
If you are referring to the song starting with his training, I am not sure

Have you been told not to tell the viewers what the actual sessions are ?
Does your coach reckon they are top secret pal ? 😂
