Got to remember these chisel and file sequences are at warp speed. Sometimes I forget and "yikes, that chisel is out of control! - or that file is taking too much!" But it never does. 👍🏼
Why not thin down the spring and grind off part of "bend"? The spring strength is personal preference, but the bend will dig into the shoulder when shooting.
For the last one I made the sping out of one block, that was way more easy.... maybe on a later point I will make a new sping that sits more close to the butplate. That will make a more lower profile posible 😁
Patchbox lid spring install went well, thanks for sharing.
and the next video is in progress.... some engraving and gold inlay😁
That worked out well Roger! A bit cold in the workshop today, plenty of filing needed to keep warm. Stay safe! Chris B.
oh it is freezing cold here... 🥶minus 10°C now it is time to make some engraving
and some smal gold inlay 😆 stay safe and kind regards Roger S-
Will that catch not feel awkward against your shoulder when shooting?
It's on the side of the butt that doesn't really touch your shoulder & it's small & fairly flat basically don't even feel it if you're wearing a shirt
You dont feel it... there is a lot of flesh on the shoulder😁

I need to ad a digital speed control to the chisels 😆🤣🤣and a screen that shows the moves per minute 😆

The amount of parts you make from scratch is pretty amazing. I think I finally caught back up, so I am looking forward to the next build.
