My Lung Cancer Story: I am STILL Processing!

Lauren dealt with breathing issues, chronic wheezing and recurrent bronchitis and pneumonia for most of her life, making running and hiking challenging. Despite her concerns, she was dismissed by doctors who believed she was too young and did not have the typical risk factors for lung cancer. Eventually, she experienced a collapsed lung and was sent for further testing and was eventually diagnosed with lung cancer.

You are doing great! I had stage III lung cancer in 1997 at 33 years old. I do not have the lung function to run but normal activities are no problem. I think treatment has come a long way, every chemo drug I had scarred my lungs and cause nerve damage in my feet. Keep doing what you are doing, I have been in remission for almost 26 years.
