    Just checked consumer reports, these cars have nearly a perfect reliability score. Even the 2013 years at almost 10 years old. YOU CAN’T BEAT A LEXUS.

    THIS CAR WORTH EVERY PENNY... THIS CAR DOES BETTER IN GAS MILEAGE THAN IT MENTIONED BY THE BRAND.....FACT THAT ITS HEAVY AS MUCH AS A SUV...BELIEVE IT OR NOT YOU WILL BE SAFE EVEN UNDER BAD IMPACT..FUEL ECONOMY IS GREAT FOR NEARLY 5000 LB HEAVY CAR. RELIABILITY, QUALITY, COMFORT, QUIETNESS, AND DURABILITY NEARLY AS GOOD AS ROLLS ROYCE I WOULD SAY...ENOUGH SAID FOR THIS LOVELY LS HYBRID

    Hi Alex,
    I very much enjoy watching your informative video reviews and very much like your opinions on the vehicle's competition.
    One small note I would recommend, can you try not to shoot the vehicle's exterior videos using wide angle. The wide angle really distorts the vehicles exteriors dimensions. It seems you are shooting at 24mm (18mm on crop sensors)....try more around 50mm or higher if your wireless microphone can allow it. Keep up the great work.
    Thanks.

    I have a 2015 LS 600hL and my dashboard de-lamented - faulty installation from Lexus. Mine is garaged with 51K miles. Lexus did nothing to correct the problem and replacement cost were - honestly - 16K for new dashboard and 2.5K to install. So I had is re-wrapped and a restoration shop in Denver for 3K. What I also did was legally tint the front windshield to eliminate the UV rays. Disappointed that Lexus did not stand behind their mistake. I want to share my story with all Lexus owners.

  • @AAutoBuyersGuide
    @AAutoBuyersGuide  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The S-Class in 2013 is 19.8 cubic feet with an additional 2.6 cubic feet under the floor and useable for storage. That is significantly larger than the LS.

  • @AAutoBuyersGuide
    @AAutoBuyersGuide  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In a few months yes. When this video was recorded the McLaren P1 had not entered production. Although I'm not sure I'd call that a real production car since they claim they will only ever make 375 cars period over the course of 2-3 years. The Porsche 918 is going to be a very, very early 2015 model by all indications.

  • @AAutoBuyersGuide

  • @itzjdub282

    You make a great point. If I'm paying a significant amount more for a vehicle I want a stand out look from the lower models

  • @AAutoBuyersGuide
    @AAutoBuyersGuide  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    We'll insert a note in the video to reflect these number. My apologies on this. The S-Class was foremost in our minds at the moment. The 2014 S-Class retains extra cargo room under the load floor that is also not factored into the 16 cubic feet, the 7-series does the same thing as well making both larger overall than the LS but the A8 and XJ are certainly smaller.

  • @AAutoBuyersGuide

    For Lexus this would not be possible. It's not a true CVT, the transmission is the hybrid system and it just "acts like" a CVT. Delete that and it wouldn't be a hybrid anymore. In the review I did mention the system, and I find the smooth driving nature of it compatible with the LS600's mission in the same way that the similar system in the GS450h is at odds with the mission.

    • @JohnSmithExtra

Good analysis and i like that you bring up background content Your shows make some of the other shows with their light weight content and prejudices look like a comedy. Please could you do a review on the Lexus GS? I would like your perspectives on the same. Keep up the good work.

  • @PhilKanuOji

    It would make all the difference if Lexus would improve the design of it's flagship model, say more Rolls Royce than Mercedes Benz in design would help a lot. Then the weight and other foibles can be seen in a more noble eye.

    New car bumpers are a joke. They protect nothing...are easily damaged and cost a fortune to replace since they don't "fix" them. The bumpers have become the entire front of the car. Remove it, and all you have left up front is the hood. Bumpers used to be there to protect the body of the car...that's what they were designed to do. I am going to wait on buying a Lexus until they come out with more options. The hundreds they come with now are just not enough for me. $130,000? Ridiculous.
