- This week i'm driving a big and luxurious Lexus 600h L, with it's 5.0 litre V8 engine, mated to a high-output electric motor with the Lexus Hybrid Drive. With a total combined power output of 438bhp the super smooth engine and power delivery of the LS 600h L make it very relaxing to drive. This is the long-wheelbase fourth generation LS so plenty of rear legroom for passengers and packed full of creature comforts too.

It's hard to beat a Lexus interior.
Nachdem die Sachsen vor 100 Jahren den besten V8 bauten , haben inzwischen die Lexus Ingenieure diesen Motor perfektioniert und mit einem Hybridsystem gekrönt. Das nenne ich nach BMW : Freude am Fahren. Es soll immer noch Experten geben , die diesen Wagen mit deutschen Fahrzeugen vergleichen ....
You certainly take care of your car. I have a 2015 LS 600hL and my dashboard de-lamented - faulty installation from Lexus. Mine is garaged with 51K miles. Lexus did nothing to correct the problem and replacement cost were - honestly - 16K for new dashboard and 2.5K to install. So I had is re-wrapped and a restoration shop in Denver for 3K. What I also did was legally tint the front windshield to eliminate the UV rays. Disappointed that Lexus did not stand behind their mistake. I want to share my story with all Lexus owners.
The coolest button in this great car is the `SNOW` button! This Lexus has been King of the road ever since it`s incarnation back in the late 1980`s. Hybrid system in this big car made all the competition follow, eventually. This machine was a decade and more ahead of it`s time.
Best LS600HL review on the net. Thank you very mudh for taking the time to post. Been looking for 3 months now for the right car, in no rush though thankfully.

I think you will find that the wind noise by the door is due to a worn door seal. I have it on my 2002 LS 430.

the analog clock must not be adjusted, it's connected to the gps of the car. Mind blown.
Sure, we are conservative, we appreciate true luxury and craftmanship, but that doesn't mean we'll scrimp on tech. Let's perfectly combine them together to deliver true value to the customer.

I always thought this version of the LS looked like a big Avensis . That said I've only ever seen one brand new at the dealers being prepared for pick up

As an owner of a Toyota Auris hybrid, I don't get what people's problem is with the CVT gearbox. Don't stab the accelerator and build your speed up normally and its fine.
Nissan gave CVTs a bad rep. They can be good gearboxes when done correctly, like Lexus did in this case.

I would buy it.Oh as for no spare wheel,its rare to get a puncture anymore.And as for the battery in the boot at 520euro,that's normal lol.Any modern car with stop start have expensive batteries.

imagine when something goes wrong in that car...parts would so expensive it be scary price too fix....
Ebay. Lots of parts available. The main issues are suspension which obviously wear down. Plenty of aftermarket options. Air ride is never cheap. Coilovers are an option too. The hybrid battery pack is about 2k to replace the whole unit.
Update on cost of hybrid battery. New OEM battery quote (installed through Lexus; avoids disposal fee) is for $6,000
Things don`t normally go wrong with these posh Toyota`s, unlike their German competitors. It will be a lot cheaper and reliable to own one of these if you want a luxury car on the cheap.
@@martinmcdonald4207cheap is relative. These are still very expensive to maintain compared to a non flagship model. A gs is much cheaper to run.
Hard to beat the way a Lexus door shuts an the engine reliability call it a glorified Toyota I don't care if u own a Lexus u know it has a lot better built
