hello angels! I'm back with another Paris vlog and episode in the living alone diaries. going places, making art and working on some new art shows, going to cafés, seeing live jazz, galleries and fashion week events. I have been really trying to find balance between work and social life this year, tender and wholesome moments with friends and evolving my career. I feel really grateful to do what I love full time as an artist and although its a lot of work, I want to share more of it with you. As always, thanks for hanging out with me and for being my friend. One of the things I love about your channel is that you are your whole self. You don't feel the need to have a different channel for "Life in Paris" and a different channel for "being an artist" and a different channel for "music" or "poetry". You are a fully dimensional person...we all are. But for some reason it has been pounded into us to do one thing or only show one aspect at a time. I am here for you...the whole you. So keep doing what you're doing. I'm here for it.

"the art studio isn't a factory, its a laboratory" as an artist struggling to get past my art block and get that sense of freedom and fun into my art again, this line really resonated with me. there is so much solitude that is necessary to "get work done" but it can be dangerous when u don't produce and then you get into a negative cycle. i always find i create my best work when i approach my art with no expectations, a sense of freedom and idk how to describe this, a lightness in my heart. i feel my chest tighten up when i think too hard about getting things done but then when i just think about having fun, it feels like i'm taking a breath of fresh air. thanks for ur insights, its really been helping me and so many others :)

watching you was one of the first times I really realized that you can make a living as an artist, not just doing art on the side, not just as an illustrator or graphic artist (def real art but not the kind I'm any good at), but as a poet or a painter. thank you for showing the processes and how you make it all work!

I just moved back home after my father passed away & thinking of the colors i'm gonna paint the place before i put it on AirBnB in June (charcoal, navy blue, birch bark, mango, orange, and a piece of black chalk paint for a calendar on the wall LOL). Hi Shayna, it’s so funny how so many of us caught the comment on whether we’re here for Paris or art stuff. I think I found your channel in early 2020. Obviously, your work is amazing and I love the Paris content because it reminds me of what feels like my second home. But what I’ve loved the most is how you’ve been fearless to change it up and to share super vulnerably. In the beginning I was watching to learn more french, then you were going through a break up and your sharing helped me get through mine around the same time, and now we get to continue to watch you find yourself and explore all the things that really interest you. And you do it so unapologetically. It’s such a beautiful thing to see someone do that. Thank you for exploring and making more of what you love. Keep doing that, whatever it is

This is your best video of the ones I've seen. Great editing and lots of interesting footage moving along from one captivating scene to another. You're a real original, the embodiment of a creative spirit. You are wonderfully articulate. And funny. And cute. And gorgeous. And talented. You're able to project a lot of different sides to your character, which keeps it interesting. Your singing voice is really lovely and I loved the opening duet. I liked the halo of your cowboy hat in the end chat. You're real and relatable in spite of your uniqueness. You said you didn't really consider the vlog was art but I disagree. Vlogs can be just visual journals but your vlog really seems like art to me. You have a lot going on and it's fun watching.
