I got the best advice once about looking for a new apartment. It was my first time living on my own. I was worried if I could afford the rent by myself every month. Certain apartments I was looking at would have weird oddities about them. I was having all this anxiety and my boss at the time said, "Make sure you like where you live because you have to come home to it every day." That may seem like a simple statement but it blew my mind. Because I thought about if I was having the crappiest day of life at work and my car broke down and people were being rude all day and all I want to do is go home BUT, I got some weird apartment that I hate!!!! It was such a clear message that home should be your solace. So make sure you love where you live (and keep showing us your apartment hunting).
I feel the same Shayna, I like to live in a peaceful neighbourhood because then when I do fancy a big night out or a fun day, it feels like a treat to travel to the busy parts of town. (And then I get to retreat to my cosy quiet area when I need to chill!) I feel like comfort and safety are important when you live in such a big city.

I'd love to know how much these apartments are in comparison to where I live in NYC. The rents are so high here. I think that terrace looked wonderful, but it would be a "no" for me with the guardian's window. I value my privacy too much. I would always be wondering if he was watching or not and that would not be good for my anxiety! A few years ago, I did the same and realized that I am in love with my neighborhood...also calm and quiet--which means so much living in a big busy city. Let the new place find you and keep putting out the high vibes by going to look and getting acquainted with the process. Looking forward to more!

I get what you mean about the terrace - it's gorgeous - and the apartment itself was super cute, but I got the feeling listening to you describe the downsides that the window would prevent you from being able to fully relax while out there, or fully enjoy parties, sunbathing, recording videos, etc. The distance to the center also seems like maybe would make sense to look at the suburbs and try to get a garden if you're that far out. I live in a city where time is of the essence with the rental market and landlords often force your hand within a few hours, making the whole thing unfairly chaotic and stressful. There will always be more places out there that "click" with you and suit your list, or even some that surprise you for their charm despite not checking off every box. But ultimately, if your gut tells you to go with this place - believe yourself and your intuition. xx

Oh you are right next to me! My favourite boulangerie in Crimee is boulangerie Pauline, if you are looking for recommendations. Buttes Chaumont is 20min walk, I do that alot! I wouldn't recommend walking at night around the canal (lots of sketchy characters) , but it improved in the last few months since they increased police presence around the canal. Otherwise it's lovely around there in summer.

Definitely apartment #1. Cute backsplash in the kitchen, nice terrace. Didn’t love the bed in the closet, or the neighborhood. Way better than no heat and ugly red carpet though😂😂
I liked neither of the two apartments, I don't think you did either. Being in a safe neighborhood is so important also as you get older. Being calm is good. I'd say keep looking in the 5th where you love to be. It will take longer, but just get your manifestation tools out, girlfriend. There is an apartment out there with your name on it in the 5th. 😊

If you have the chance to remain in the 5th and find a place that's also bigger so you can get more comfortable in your own space, I would really love that for you
One thing that i also like to do is to go there late.... as late as i can with friends and try to either go for a walk around the place to see the vibe and especially how safe it is. I'd go into a nearby bar/ restaurant / grocery stores. It's fun but also gives me an idea about how daily life is actually going to be there. In my humble opinion, the guardian's window would be a no no but it also depends how often the person is there. He might just use it for light instead of looking out of it. You can even get something that u could put as a barrier if you have friends over (especially at night i dont think he would care as long as u're not covering the window but just putting a barrier that would hide the terrace for the night. But if you are not feeling it, you still have a year ahead. thank you for sharing tho
A place on the bottom floor/ground floor would be a hard no for me. And the potential of someone bothering me like the guardian would just stress me out. My place I have now I feel was meant for me. I was supposed to go see it but I was going away on holiday so I missed it. When I got back there was another viewing of it that I was called to because I had been on the previous list of viewers. I saw it and I couldn't say no to it because it was so great and fulfilled all my big criteria, even though I had fantasized about a place that was somewhat different. I've now lived here for 16 years and I still love it.
Easy fix (if you really love the space) you could but a semi-tall fake tree in pot a few inches away from that window, or a cool large cloth that will drape...so many ideas if you really LOVE the space...but have faith one youtuber I watch had to do 14 spaces and the 14th one was it...(neither apartment but...)
I was in a similar non privacy situation, I ended up hanging plants right in front of the window so that there would be less visibility! Could potentially work for that place! Follow your gut :)
I see how much your current neighborhood gives you. You have access to so much- you love your community and culture, you love your friends and have access to a lifestyle that makes you happy- I'm unsure why you would want to visualize yourself in a self declared worse area? You mentioned it was an hour away from where you are currently set up and even mentioned moving to the suburbs- it all seems really out of character? You would be cut off or have to give out a tremendous amount of energy to participate in the life you are currently living- unless your goal is to start from scratch? Only you know the behind the scenes- hoping all is well and that your heart continues to radiate abundance. Sending 💕

I recommend to keep looking. First apartment had low light. Your current apartment has way more light. The cons are not worth it.

Blue Star! that is a beautiful sign. One for me too. Once, during a QHHT session i saw a big blue star, and muchhh more, and then the word Maia was ringing in my mind. at the time i didnt realize Maia is a blue star in Pleiades. one of the 7 sisters. Oh you are right next to me! My favourite boulangerie in Crimee is boulangerie Pauline, if you are looking for recommendations. Buttes Chaumont is 20min walk, I do that alot! I wouldn't recommend walking at night around the canal (lots of sketchy characters) , but it improved in the last few months since they increased police presence around the canal. Otherwise it's lovely around there in summer.
hi, fun vlog. we will be starting our apartment hunting soon, january 2023 but in the past we have always had to have a dossier prepared, is that not the case anymore in Paris? i would love to just check out apartments that we would be interested in but it can be so stressful getting all the documents in order. Definitely apartment #1. Cute backsplash in the kitchen, nice terrace. Didn’t love the bed in the closet, or the neighborhood. Way better than no heat and ugly red carpet though😂😂
I liked neither of the two apartments, I don't think you did either. Being in a safe neighborhood is so important also as you get older. Being calm is good. I'd say keep looking in the 5th where you love to be. It will take longer, but just get your manifestation tools out, girlfriend. There is an apartment out there with your name on it in the 5th. 😊

One thing that i also like to do is to go there late.... as late as i can with friends and try to either go for a walk around the place to see the vibe and especially how safe it is. I'd go into a nearby bar/ restaurant / grocery stores. It's fun but also gives me an idea about how daily life is actually going to be there. In my humble opinion, the guardian's window would be a no no but it also depends how often the person is there. He might just use it for light instead of looking out of it. You can even get something that u could put as a barrier if you have friends over (especially at night i dont think he would care as long as u're not covering the window but just putting a barrier that would hide the terrace for the night. But if you are not feeling it, you still have a year ahead. thank you for sharing tho

A place on the bottom floor/ground floor would be a hard no for me. And the potential of someone bothering me like the guardian would just stress me out. My place I have now I feel was meant for me. I was supposed to go see it but I was going away on holiday so I missed it. When I got back there was another viewing of it that I was called to because I had been on the previous list of viewers. I saw it and I couldn't say no to it because it was so great and fulfilled all my big criteria, even though I had fantasized about a place that was somewhat different. I've now lived here for 16 years and I still love it.

Easy fix (if you really love the space) you could but a semi-tall fake tree in pot a few inches away from that window, or a cool large cloth that will drape...so many ideas if you really LOVE the space...but have faith one youtuber I watch had to do 14 spaces and the 14th one was it...(neither apartment but...)

I was in a similar non privacy situation, I ended up hanging plants right in front of the window so that there would be less visibility! Could potentially work for that place! Follow your gut :)

I see how much your current neighborhood gives you. You have access to so much- you love your community and culture, you love your friends and have access to a lifestyle that makes you happy- I'm unsure why you would want to visualize yourself in a self declared worse area? You mentioned it was an hour away from where you are currently set up and even mentioned moving to the suburbs- it all seems really out of character? You would be cut off or have to give out a tremendous amount of energy to participate in the life you are currently living- unless your goal is to start from scratch? Only you know the behind the scenes- hoping all is well and that your heart continues to radiate abundance. Sending 💕
