I'm pretty confident I know what was happening the whole time but the cuts away from his hands at critical moments are such a disservice to knowing for certain
What makes the act even better is that i think he started with very obvious sleight of hand on purpose. In the first half of the act, the audience becomes smug, as Penn said, and then the second half of the act, they are jolted, with a "what just happened?". It switches emotion on the audience from smug, poor guy, so amateur, to omg, he's one of the best. Audience is left with a very positive mindset when it's over. Your mom would be proud of you.
Or when Teller makes his "in awe" face. When Teller gets excited, you know the trick is really good. "It's easy to fool the big dumb guy, the guy you REALLY have to fool is Teller."

I think they weren't fooled most of the trick. They were impressed. Then when he makes the switch and pulls the aces with a sticker out of the envelope they already knew those 3 cards on the table were the signed cards. And they were ahead of the act like "no way those are those signed cards" because they have no idea how he did that. That's why Penn says we followed you till that sticker. He went from doing a whole routine they knew to pulling off a trick that they had never seen, didn't expect, and had no idea how he did it. They see so much magic they can predict a lot of where an act will go and I think they legitimately had no idea what the ending would be and we get to see their fantastic reaction.
to be fair of the 40ish clips i seen. i never seen them just give up so quick. was slightly subtle. it took me a few to get it as well. i wasnt on stage nervous.
Because of the so many secret codes that penn and teller have, even the audience doesn't think that Penn and Teller got fooled. See they're reaction at 8:03
I think there's more to it. I'm sure he had to have been more than a little shook that he just fooled two of the most famous magicians of all time, one of whom is arguably the best sleight-of-hand expert out there right now. English is my native tongue and I'd probably be pretty stunned if that happened too.
I love this so much... When you face those big bosses like Penn & Teller it's pointless to try to impress them right away, many magicians falls for that and end up exposing themselves. Instead you walk slowly and make them think they got you, that's when they drop their guard and just start watching as spectators not judges and then you hit them with your stuff. It's the perfect example of fooling someone.

I love that look that Teller gets, like a kid who is seeing 'real magic' at the magic show .. I got that look, too when the signed cards were turned over, I did not see the switch at all, and wasn't even anticipating it. Excellent work!
SO good, so many moving parts, so clean. I love a fooler that has a distinct moment where you can tell they've been fooled: Teller lights up with joy and Penn looks like he's angry for being tricked.
I can totally relate to 8:05. I live in Japan and sometimes you hear something and you're thinking like "Yeah, I'm pretty sure I totally understood what he just said, but that can't be right and I'll be super embarrassed if I'm wrong, so I'm just gonna ride it out a bit longer until I can get a little more context..." In other words, I think Jeki was in such a state of bliss and disbelief that his English skills (very temporarily) plummeted to well below what they actually are. Also, I've been subscribed to Jeki's instagram since he was featured on Chris Ramsay's channel, and I've been wanting him to come on this show ever since. And boy, he did not disappoint. What a great trick.

Absolutely stunning!!! He was so overcome with emotion that he didn't realise that Penn and Teller two of the greatest magicians ever to live were implying that he had fooled them. "We know where you're going to put that sticker you're going to put that sticker on your fool us trophy"
Maybe it is the editing, but I was also kind of doing a double-take and not sure I heard him right either. No big punchline to his patter or immediate applause from the audience. It was a much more direct and understated delivery by Penn than usual.
Their reactions are the best part, at some point it almost looks like they're trying to stay politely interested despite knowing all too well what's going on and when it hits it hits them hard! Penn is just 'aww shucks, I don't know' and Teller isn't even trying to follow anymore, he's there for the magic, with that genuine, almost childlike impatience, he knows what will follow and can't wait to be amazed, practically jumping in his seat when the aces are revealed. Man, I love this, you're amazing!

And instead of the usual pissed off Penn telling him to shove it, he comes outta nowhere: _Penn:_ "You're gonna put that sticker on your 'Fool Us' trophy." _Jeki, super anxious and confused:_ "Fool Us trophy? First I must say this is an excellent act, made me an instant fan ! The crescendo in difficulty and complexity is very well made. Here's how I think it was done : 1:30 card is going into the left hand, maybe the sleeves helped making look like it was not palmed. then in the pocket to be taken by Alison. 2:27 the 3 signed cards are palmed or rather put in the shirt sleeves and replaced by 3 other cards to be put back in the deck 2:51 the 3 signed cards are inserted into the envelope via a slit opening 3:05 the envelope is replaced by another with two pockets, the one on the top containing 3 aces. 3:33 the pocket of the bottom is used to receive the signed cards which are removed and put into pocket using the same kind of slit trick as at 3.37 3:44 3 other aces are taken from right pocket then put into left hand and presented one by one from 4:15 to 4:21, we don't know what is going on, but I assume the aces are replaced by the signed cards from the left pocket, plus an ace of spade with a black back. This idea is reinforced by the fact that neither of the red aces will be shown during the game with Allison, while it would have provided a cool effect : that's because they are not there anymore. 4:30 that ace of spade is taken with one of the signed card on top of it (the two other cards are the other signed cards). Each time it is manipulated, it will be by the edges, to be sure the signed card on top of it doesn't slip. 4:51 the ace of spade is left on the rug, on the right, with its black back camouflaging it (this has already been used by other magicians, including great Shin Lim) this allow the teleportation effect with the sticker. 5:11 the ace of spade is removed behind the table, only the 3 signed card remain. 5:18 something is added to the sticker, to make it more rigid, allowing it to be palmed next 5:31 we can very briefly see the sticker being palmed. Not sure how it is removed from the envelope, maybe the rigid stuff was magnetized... 5:37 the sticker moves from left hand to right hand, then is placed on the top of the 3 aces that were in the envelope from 3:05 The rest is history. I'm wondering if everything might have been done with a single envelope, but it doesn't seems worth the risk presented by a thicker, more suspicious envelop. I truly hope to see more, this is fantastic magic, clever and innovating !

@@javaughngriffith4774 First define "knowing". We might not put our "knowing" cursor at the same place in the confidence gauge... Say I have 90% confidence this is how the trick was done, and I usually place my cursor at 80%, for instance. On this premises I could say I "know" how it was done. Do the same for you, and then chose : Either you think I don't have it, and therefore the mystery is not spoiled to you, or you do feel spoiled, and it implies you think my explanation is correct.
I just caught it, Penn & Teller made the audience disappear, but we can still hear the audience clapping and yelling. What a wonderful pair of magicians they are. Great trick Jeki as well congratulations on earning the fool us trophy.
Freaking amazing trick. You could see by tellers expression that he was completely lost the second you started doing the sticker trick and he loved it. I saw some of the other stuff on your channel because of a famous TH-cam magician (Chris Ramsay) who showed a bunch of the things you've put up and he was as blown away as the rest of us so you are definitely becoming one of those guys that other magicians point to and admire.
You've got my support Jeki! I've spent many years studying and performing magic, and designing and building tricks, props, and acts for myself and others. But to me the best and biggest tricks are always closeup magic, LIKE THIS. Very masterfully and beautifully done! Your personality is really magical just on its own. CONGRATULATIONS YOU DESERVED THIS FU TROPHY COMPLETELY!!!!! You should come visit Canada when the world is back to normal.
I would easily say this is a top 10 trick on Penn & Teller for me. I love teleportation tricks. You also gave fair card choices and made them significant. Well done.
I've followed him on some other platform.. He's pretty cool and cheerful i love it.. Some of his tricks are intentionally made so we know he didn't use certain stuff.. Such as long sleeve.. or Solid table.. This one.. He did use them both.. And boy i'm amazed how far he extends the magic to such extent.. Congratulations man..
It is always fun to watch contestants not familiar in english trying to communicate and express their joy on winning the trophy. Happiness needs no language. Delight to watch
Was so excited to see you on here! So glad you got it done. I was genuinely like “they are going to follow this because even I can” and then that sticker came out. Congrats, what a wonderful act!
I loved this performance! I really hope it sticks for a long time. Keep pushing the envelope! It's crazy how Penn & Teller stick together with all these amazing magicians.
This was one of the really amazing magics I've ever seen in my life. You're such a cute guy, you didn't even understand you fooled them and that was the best part of this video and I really loved it.
I love your energy and your excitement during the trick is amazing. You made me feel like you were surprised it was working. It makes it seem like real magic.
Coin that phrase "oh my". That will make you just as much money as the magic will Jeki. You're the best. Ever since chris Ramsey introduced you to me I've been hooked.
With the envelope portion, you can tell he is holding the cards in his left hand and shakes them into the end of the envelope (both ends are open) - he squeezes the sides to open it a bit so the cards can slide in and then back out. Around 4:27 he reaches into his pocket. After this, you can see by the stiffness and position of his hand that he is definitely holding cards that he just slid out. I’m presuming the cards she had signed earlier. He then slides these into the other cards. The Ace cards are doubled up with those signed cards, the signed ones on top. At 4:50 if you look closely at the bottom right corner, you can see the cards splitting from one another. From there I get a bit confused with him moving the sticker. There must be two Ace of Spades. At 5:31 you can see the yellow sticker between his pinky and ring finger. As he pulled the cards out of the envelope, he stuck the sticker on. The cards were planted in there previously. I tried to figure it out completely but I’ve watched it so many times that I’m over it now lol Maybe someone else can work off that.
I'm not a magician, but I thought that there was something fishy about how when he showed the Ace of Spades that had "moved," he didn't reveal the other two cards (and that he hadn't brought Penn and Teller to the table to see the trick up close). That and one of Allyson's cards being the three of clubs.
I'm so entertained by his personality and banter and it takes several re-watches for it to sink-in how amazing this trick actually is. I have NO IDEA how this could be done. I'm just glad there's people out there like Jeki Yoo who can surprise even old souls like myself.
The performance is superb. How the transitions and pace are managed are simply awesome. The trick is AMAZING. And Teller's ability to still be surprised after all he knows at more than 70 years of age is so cute.
The reactions from Penn and Teller say everything, but DAMN that card flip/switch at 3:53 was CLEAN. I had to rewind that a handful of times just to have my mind blown multiple times. Hahahaha.
What a wonderfully entertaining personality, and the magic was totally mind-blowing, and watching this in 2024 it’s clear to see that Alyson will have no equal.
It's a good thing he didn't put the sticker on his Fool Us trophy. It would have turned into the ace of spades.
absolute 😅😅

@@mistertroll0000 the person said "I think" so they don't know. And even if that's how it was done, they're not the one doing it so still just assuming. Next time allow me to enjoy myself and the mystery of the trick, thank you. Have a good night
Oh my! Interesting is how at the beginning you really telegraph your moves to trick them into thinking they can follow you. Great performance!
Chris Ramsay showed your videos on a Reddit review video once, and I’ve been hooked ever since. You’re insane with this stuff man. “OH MY!”
I just caught it, Penn & Teller made the audience disappear, but we can still hear the audience clapping and yelling. What a wonderful pair of magicians they are. Great trick Jeki as well congratulations on earning the fool us trophy.
Teller shows complete joy and astonishment at how amazing this was. Brilliant work!
A sweet, humble and super talented entertainer (a rarity). Congrats, Jeki!
100%!
Yeah, he should fix the humbleness.
I demand the right to be cheated, conned, lied to and fooled by magicians. Wouldn't be here otherwise.
Thank you, Jeki Yoo. You did your job.
7:57 - 8:09 was the best part by far... the pause before Allison clarified the situation.
Super cool dude, my dude.
I remember seeing him in America's got talent...he is really good at sleight of hand
I would easily say this is a top 10 trick on Penn & Teller for me.
I love teleportation tricks. You also gave fair card choices and made them significant. Well done.
This is some of the best sleight of hand I have seen in a long time.
Looked more like slight of sleeve.
Thanks so much!
One of the best I've seen, very well done jeki yoo
Absolutely the best act I have ever seen on P&T
100% best reaction too
No lie, probably one of the best sleight of hand I’ve seen so far.
You can follow it pretty easily... until you get to the sticker. Not only is it a distraction but also part of the trick... lol. Nice.
The surprise on his face when it hit him that he fooled them, priceless!
One of the best acts I've ever seen. Outstanding!!!!
It is always fun to watch contestants not familiar in english trying to communicate and express their joy on winning the trophy. Happiness needs no language. Delight to watch
I love how everybody else realized that he won by Fooling P&T, meanwhile Jeki was all like, "Fool Us trophy, yeah? And?" 🤣🤣
6:01 Penn's face as he makes the aces move is just so funny! Amazing magic Jeki!
Was so excited to see you on here! So glad you got it done. I was genuinely like “they are going to follow this because even I can” and then that sticker came out. Congrats, what a wonderful act!
His adorableness honestly is enough on its own to win me over! What a lovely human being!
I love how much you excited Teller, they're like little kids when it's a magic trick they don't know how it's done. Thanks for sharing this.
I loved this performance! I really hope it sticks for a long time. Keep pushing the envelope! It's crazy how Penn & Teller stick together with all these amazing magicians.
tellers face when he pulls the aces out of that envelope was like a child seeing magic for the first time
@ 1:43 Allison: is this covid friendly 💀
This was one of the really amazing magics I've ever seen in my life. You're such a cute guy, you didn't even understand you fooled them and that was the best part of this video and I really loved it.
I love your energy and your excitement during the trick is amazing. You made me feel like you were surprised it was working. It makes it seem like real magic.
I like how this show is like 'ok the moment you know you won or lost, walk off the stage as quickly as possible.'
I’ve noticed that too lol
@@xtremechaos5771 all of his cards fall out of his sleeves when jumping LOL
The real magic how happy and humble he was at the end
The most adorable reaction
Coin that phrase "oh my". That will make you just as much money as the magic will Jeki. You're the best. Ever since chris Ramsey introduced you to me I've been hooked.
Penn said it best: great energy! Absolute legend!
I love the ones where they dont even ask anything, it's just straight up, you fooled us.
Also think you can tell the moment Penn lost track of it
Oh my goodness, I’ve waited so long for you to go on Fool Us!!! This is epic!!
I love the act so much! I’ve seen the original and I’ve wanted to learn it! You are so good, thanks!
I'm so glad you kept your "oh my" in this performance. Your fans appreciate it.
8:07 Alison "You fooled them!.." 😂😂😂 I love Alison
My small mind can't comprehend this magic, but I don't care! Unbelievably smooth, fun, and just a joy to watch. Great job Jeki!
OK this is magic for real.
That's some four dimensional misdirection right there.
I just love your energy and enthusiasm. It just makes me happy to see that you love what you do.
Fantastic. So good. Teller's expression said it all.
This is one where you're just excited for the performer to get it because of the infectious enthusiasm.
I followed him until the sticker also
I’m lying!
I already knew He gonna fooled P&T ! OH MY !!!
I could watch Jeki all day, just a complete act. He should be huge.
Hahahaha.
Amazing Jeki!!!!!!!! MIND FRICKIN BLOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You Deserve This trophy My man!! Oh MYYYYYYYYYYY!!!👍👍👍👏👌😆😆
6:24 Teller's emotion.. priceless!! That's a magician's respect.
Such a lovely guy! Sir are you a wizard? That was unbelievable.
What a wonderfully entertaining personality, and the magic was totally mind-blowing, and watching this in 2024 it’s clear to see that Alyson will have no equal.
