watching it i think the way is that he has 4 decks in different pockets with 51 blanks + 13 cards of 1 suit. When he take the deck he choose the card and put the other 12 inside his jacket. Really smooth moves.
I think he had 43 blank cards in each deck. Let me tell you why. I counted 44 cards on the table when he fanned them out. 56 cards come in a deck container. 52 playing cards, 2 jokers and 2 ad cards. So those 56 would fit in the deck container. If he had 64 cards he would need a thicker container which would look suspicious.
@@lpr5269 yes i think this is the most likely and good observation. he has 4 decks, one for each suit, with each deck having 13 cards for the selected suit, all with QUEUE on the back, placed at the bottom of the deck with all blank cards above. once the suit choice is made, he picks the corresponding deck and then at 3:05 starts counting through the 13 spades with his thumb (hidden from view). once he finds the 11th card (the jack of spades), he can discard the other 12 spade cards into his pocket, and then cut the deck and insert the controlled jack of spades somewhere random. so that's 56 cards - 12 spades with QUEUE = 44 cards on the table, 43 blanks and 1 QUEUE card very impressive dexterity to count through 10 cards (A-9) to locate the jack, control it to bring it to the bottom of the blank card stack, keep the other spades separated in order to them, and then reinsert the jack. i tried doing that very very slowly while peeking and it is possible, but requires incredible precision and practice to do it blind and that quickly.
I don't know if it's by design, but I think he also trains the audience to ignore him touching his jacket. From the beginning of his presentation he tugs his jacket a few times throughout as if it's just his speaking habbit so it's not so overt later on. ....?

And ofc religion accounts into that as a diversity factor. Touching someone's feet marks a sign of immense respect in the Indian culture. Kids touch their parents and grand parents feet to seek their blessings and to respect them. Or they could confront them, and ruin the entire shot, either have to reshoot certain parts or the whole thing.
@@andrewjensen8189 I dunno, I really don't think that's how it works. They have ear pieces with which they can communicate with the producers who know exactly how the tricks are done because they have been told beforehand. That's part of the premise behind the show. Honor system by itself is a terrible way to run this show because anyone could lie out their ass and convince P&T that they were fooled, and I'm sure that professional magicians and TV producers have way more experience than each of us individually so there's no way they don't know that. They have indeed communicated via those devices with the judges to find out whether or not they are on the right track. Nothing confrontational about it.
Hah, but no. The producer is told the technique so that they can validate that P&T are correct, so if he were bluffing, the producer would tell them that they got it. It happened before in one episode where the guy misunderstood what they said (he wasn't a native english speaker) and the producer said no they got it.
@Henrick Smartsone so emphasis on his words: "Yeah, THESE cards are yours to examine", nevermind the rest of them stuffed in his pants. They should've said: "may we search your pants for any additional carriage you may have to declare?".
Henrick Smartsone - There is a full reveal that has already been posted on TH-cam. Yes, 4 decks, one for each suit, he then keeps the one chosen card and drops the other 12 inside his jacket. Very clever manipulation and he truthfully says that the cards on the table can be examined and leaves them there for P&T. The producers know he is telling the truth because they always know in advance how it is done and they do not permit any lies/cheating/audience member collaboration etc. P&T do not usually ask to closely examine the pockets/clothes of the magician - although it has been done in the past. In the current shows, Covid regulations make it more difficult for that but, nevertheless, well done young man!
It's a testament to Penn's showmanship that he could respond so quickly after being stunned by the offer to examine the cards. He said he had a bunch of questions and probably expected to ask a few, but was just stuffed in the first question. It's not easy to crack a joke with perfect timing like he did after being surprised like that.

watching it i think the way is that he has 4 decks in different pockets with 51 blanks + 13 cards of 1 suit.
@@lpr5269 yes i think this is the most likely and good observation. he has 4 decks, one for each suit, with each deck having 13 cards for the selected suit, all with QUEUE on the back, placed at the bottom of the deck with all blank cards above.
once the suit choice is made, he picks the corresponding deck and then at 3:05 starts counting through the 13 spades with his thumb (hidden from view). once he finds the 11th card (the jack of spades), he can discard the other 12 spade cards into his pocket, and then cut the deck and insert the controlled jack of spades somewhere random.
so that's 56 cards - 12 spades with QUEUE = 44 cards on the table, 43 blanks and 1 QUEUE card
very impressive dexterity to count through 10 cards (A-9) to locate the jack, control it to bring it to the bottom of the blank card stack, keep the other spades separated in order to them, and then reinsert the jack. i tried doing that very very slowly while peeking and it is possible, but requires incredible precision and practice to do it blind and that quickly.
I don't know if it's by design, but I think he also trains the audience to ignore him touching his jacket.
From the beginning of his presentation he tugs his jacket a few times throughout as if it's just his speaking habbit so it's not so overt later on. ....?
So how did he fool them. 10 Missing cards should be easily recognised?
How didnt they see that?

@Harshita Munjal shows that you have no knowledge of Hinduism. An atheist can also be a Hindu. Being communist doesn't mean you cannot appreciate your culture. By the way he's an Indian, lived in india as he said himself.
@Taha u have some serious superiority complex..work on ur attitude dude
@JAMESBOND007 we do it in north india too man. All hindus do this. It's our culture.
he's so articulate, very nice to listen to him. The magic is also awesome
So nice people. Didn't know about this show. Great stuff. Vetri South African Indian 🙏🇿🇦🇿🇦🙏
Paying the judges respect by folding hands and touching the floor in front of them shows his Upbringing well Done Sanjeev you made India proud 😊
@@xiominanda2956 So fucken what ? Was it really required to enlighten me with that north south nonsense?
@@TheAsliNeel chill bro. Nothing here to get tensed
@@xiominanda2956
So there's two India, north India and south India?
@@Sprite-od4xl east, west, central and north east too
3:10 the most important part of the trick , super smooth 🙌
Means he has hidden 52 cards at different position named queue
Respect. You got him.
Yu ar amazing, yong Sanjeev.
Daniel you should try out for Penn and Teller!
U r
U r amzin
You tried using 2 CHINESE "names" for an INDIAN artist, either you have no idea about the geographical differences, or ur sense of humour is too limited.
@@vijaydeenanathchauhan8190 Think again, he spelled the words like they are spoken, not chinese, he just transitioned from the trick
As an Indian & fan of P&T I'm delighted to see fellow countrymen performing on the show astounding vocabulary, Poise & finesse.
He is intellegent and also so humble. He expressed gratitude by doing Namaskar after winning. Also he prayed the stage which made hin famous. At so young age he is well disciplined. A lot to learn from him.
Yes intelligence is the word and he's very intelligent.
It's literally a jaw dropping one when you said they can check the deck!! Great show. I also liked the respectful and genuine bow you made at the end (6:57) owing to the Indian culture in that big stage. Appreciate you a lot. You have a brightest future my boy! Wishing to you see more appearances with creativity.
the ultimate irony is that this dude lives in Illinois.
OMG!!! I didn't realize it until I saw your comment!!!
You mean Ilinoy?
illinoise, you mean.
is that on mars?
Had to read it twice
Beautiful! Especially beautiful is that the very impressive part (that the rest of cards are blank) actually makes this trick easier to do. So making the facilitation of the trick so well weaved into the story is super-smart! Great one!
After watching it again, I'm like "oh yeah, of course all the words on the back are all misdirection" but his story is so intriguing you forget you're being tricked. This is actually a really high pressure trick for him, relying on one big move. And he plays it smooth as a cucumber.
Dude, I love the way that you present yourself on stage. So confident, but relaxed.
@@floki1664 but in the best kind of way.
Allyson has a smile that can cure depression.
Yeah you should have seen American pie.
I just remembered her as a american pie chic's
She's a sweet peach, totally worth eating
Or create anxiety *LOL*
😍😘
Plot Twist : The statement at 06:29 "These are yours" was the fooling statement... XD
and he sold it out effortlessly
he fooled them. Slow ur speed to. 25% at 3:10 u can see he is putting card in his jacket. And that too he didn't bring card deck until they gave him card details, once they gave he bring out that paryicial set only
@@Blkhwk_ You’re right 😂 I went to the time and that sly dog got away with it right in front of them.
@@Blkhwk_ and before at 3:04 he simply looks at all cards and sees where the jack of spades is, at 3:07 and a half second he pulls the jack of spades with the left thumb down into the left hand (you see, at this moment the deck is very high in the hand so that the jack of spades has plenty of space to be alone behind the left hand), and from the end of 3:07 until 3:09 the right thumb pushes the jack of spades back into the "front" deck, you see during this time how the whole deck goes back lower into the hand, not so high above the fingers anymore, because the jack of spades and the deck gets together now. Parallel of all that (until 3:10) some other fingers separate the two decks where it changes from the white one to the normal deck.
You see anyway that at 2:53 he has much more cards than after 3:10
That's just a big part of public speaking, that's exactly how they fool people.
Penn was almost speechless when he said the cards are your's 😂
1 1st l1
Became teller for a moment there
Amazing to see how respectful he was. To the craft, to the judges and to the stage! Respect 💯
"Yes you can examine it",
"Penn not even examining it", YOU FOOLED US!
If they had examined the deck they would notice 12 cards missing from the deck. But they took his word for it. Notice he says "The cards that I have on the table?"
@@MrMiyagi005 That's a very good point. I guess that's why you're the Sensei...
@@MrMiyagi005 no, the producers know how the trick is done, they would have stepped in and said that the deck is gimmicked.
@@flyingchimp12 It doesn't work like that. p&t have to guess it correctly and if anyone lies about the trick then and only then producers intervene. And the deck wasn't gimmicked in any way.
I was waiting for them to inspect the jacket.
Fascinating magic, smooth as it gets. heartening to see that he may have left India but the little subtleties of India didn't leave him. Couldn't help but notice that touching the stage at the end as a mark of respect and the folded hands in humility after completing his trick!
Amazing presentation. And shows love and respect to everyone and the stage before leaving ❤
That stunned look on Penn's face when he said "The cards are yours. Come on up and examine them."
I loved the way he paid his respects to the stage at the end. This is the most Indian thing :-)
Congrats man, excellent presentation and well executed trick! It reminds me of the brilliance of Asi Wind's trick on P&T..keep it up!
Asi trick was quite simple . P&T figured it out easily. Asi was given fool us trophy just as a gratitude because it was Christmas special.
i used to watch your rubik’s cube tutorials! Haven’t seen ya since!
@@balwindergill1 but they method was kinda of a similar though, in a different way ! It just a large scale and that was small scale !
It reminded me of the trick that jay did about the blind guy
