🍺MSN…Matt Stefan Nation showed out today on Tacticalbassin’s hover rig buyers guide. I personally gave a thumbs up and commented on every comment about you and Core tackle to try and drive up views and so did the rest of MSN. 😎The leader of thumbs up and comments were all Matt Stefan/core tackle as of earlier this afternoon. My comments included Jonny Schultz as he was being left out. Social media opportunities need to be used to there fullest when given the chance. I hope🙏 today’s comments and TB’s 550K subscribers gets you and Jonny’s new company some more positive traction.🤠
Matt Duo Realis came out with the BR head a few months ago when paired with the right shape plastic it darts side to side like the power switch. You can get it to slide out to the side 3 or 4 feet. I know when the water warms up it is going to get bit.
I’m a little late to the hover rig party but my last outing of the year was the first time throwing it and it caught river smallies out of 42 degree water. I’m definitely adding it to the 2024 club tourney arsenal.
hey Matt, 3 awesome fairly new techniques for sure that I am sure will catch on more and more. I have not tried the “shot“ wacky yet, but plan to. Since the hook seem very small, I would assume you’re using a smaller worm like Robo, thin senko, etc. With the ball weight on the hook shank, does that hurt the hook up percentage? I assume no, but that’s the first thing that came to mind when I see it. Merry Christmas!
A technique that's been around for a year or two but it's still relatively unknown is the free rig. I feel it's going to be a hot trend when the weird gets out
I liked the free rig, but I fish spillways and small creeks, rivers, etc.- which are shallow, fast-moving waters- and the free rig likes deeper, slower current. The wacky senko is the same way- if you don't have at least 4-5 feet of depth, and relatively still water- it just doesn't work. Those little powers switch slash baits look interesting though- just grabbed a couple packs of them.
Tacticalbassin had a hovering video & they brought up core tackle, they said they been using hovering baits for over 10 yrs before FFS, you just made it easier to rig up, I never knew it existed until I saw it on your channel, I guess a tube is rigged somewhat the same way, but it has more of a round end & the weight is not as long! Great job!🎣👍
I had the same question. I’d like to see a underwater view of it vs a conventional weighted wacky hook to see the worm actions. The conventional style looks like a better hook up ratio.
Wondered the same thing. Between the weight and the worm doesn't look like a lot of hook to work with. Like the idea of having the weight closer to the bait. May have to experiment with a nail wt inserted into the middle on the worm and rigged your hook with a ring.
I love your hover strolling jig. I took my 12 year old grand nephew out bass fishing and he caught 60 bass on one of your hover strolling jigs with a 4 inch ZMAN TRD. That’s all he wants to use now. lol. I have turned on several fishing guides to your core tackle jigs and hover strolling jigs. They are sold too. Thanks for your awesome innovation. Have you used a zman rattle shaker to facilitate putting the head of the hover strolling jig in zman elaztech products? Sometimes when trying to put head into plastics the plastic rips. I am thinking the zman rattle shaker tool would make a channel to facilitate placing the head of the hover strolling jig without ripping the soft plastic on some plastics also. Let me know what you think. Thanks MATT. GOOD LUCK to you in all your endeavors.
How will those slashing baits do if you let them hit the bottom or cast and jig them back? If they slash back and forth between contacts with the bottom they should be pretty awesome for flounder. The action you described sounds very good for redfish and trout too. Hopefully Friday I'll remember to order some more Hover Rigs and TUSH rigs, and I guess I need the new one too. The 1/8 oz Hover Rig has a cool action in a jerk shad but 1/4 oz is the size jig head I use 90 percent of the time so I need Hover Rigs that size, and the TUSH too. I got the wrong sizes. But I really want to try them more and report back to you on my catches so you can advertise for the saltwater. I'd be into helping you sell them to the salty crowd too if we can work it out to be good for everyone.
For anyone who wants to know what the shot wacky looks like, just watch me on the ice. Arms flailing and legs kicking around bringing notice from all till I settle on the bottom. Action that triggers much attention. 😅 Just thought I'd paint a little pitcher to bring a smile or two!
I’ve spent a couple hundred bucks with Core Tackle. Best money I’ve spent all year! No overstatement. I will stay with Core’s products for hovering as well as swimbaits and whatever else they push out in the future.

Watched Tacticalbassing Vid earlier . Agree with your comments . Two of the best out there .
I'm based in South Africa
You are awesome!!! Love this kind of support! Thank you!

Yep another slash bait
TacticalBassin just mentioned the hover rig today in a video. So be prepared for sales to sky rocket. 😂
We will see

Similar story here.
Nice!
Have you done a video on bellows gill or shad?
Not yet
Serious props from TB today. Hover rig AND guppy head! Nice work, and another great vid today. Go Bears.
Thanks
Never heard of the power switch or slash baits in general- but I grabbed a couple packs to give them a go. Good video man.
You will be hearing a lot more about them
Good video Matt 🤛
Thanks
As always Matt, great video filled with lots of good info. Thanks! 🎣
Glad you enjoyed!
Got some 3 and 3.5" Berkley Power Switch's the other week. I think they're going to be killer jigging for walleye
They are!
Can you show retrieves for each technique or explain them
I’ve done videos on most techniques and retrieves. You can find them if you search my page
@@MattStefanFishing I haven’t seen anything on the power switch. That was the one I was mostly talking about.
Great info as always
Glad you think so!

It doesn’t help the hook set and yes small thin worms work best for that

Thanks Matt , I'm thinking a different top water bait ( Soft rig).
Good choice!

Will the weight on the wacky rig hook bother the hook up

It works but hookups not perfect…stay tuned for a Core Tackle product that you’ll be interested in getting!

We have those sizes in hover rigs and TUSH
The Berckley power switch is legit. 3 big fish and a full school busted real quick on this bait.
Yep
Does the Power Switch have a similar action to the Berkley Snap Jig?
Yep

hover rigs remind me of the old slide.
Sounds good
Have a Happy Birthday !!
Thanks!
I watched this one before but forgot to comment anything. Thanks
Thanks for watching
Ice fishing baits
Thanks for watching
👍👍👍👍👍

The Core tackle rig is too expensive 😂 I thinking about getting Gambler hover rig is cheaper 😂 and they had 2 of the right sizes hook 😮
We are more expensive because we are the ones that spent all of the money designing it and they just stole our design.
Do you have a patent on the hover strolling jig? Seems like patent infringement to me if you have a patent.
