    Im 58 moved back home to help mum with my dad , and i got lazy forgot about my general health , i ate alot of 2min noodles , fizzy drinks, and potato chips , i found my eye sight was getting bad , urinating 3 -4 times a night , i went to doctors he said my blood sugar was 9 and i was pre diabetes , so i started on the treadmill everyday , got rid of noodles , chips and fizzy drinks started a good diet , no carbs but meat , chicken , eggs , steamed broccoli and zucchini and i drink water lemon and ACV and my last reading was 6.2 so im heading in the right direction and things like chocolate and icecream i just have small portions once a wk

      I am not pre diabetic but I have witnessed many positive changes after doing IF 🤗

    In THREE months my A1C went from 12 down to 5.8! started carnivore first 3 weeks and then went to Ketovore. I checked my blood routinely through the day before eating and after eating (1-2 hours) off all my diabetic meds and blood pressure is now normal. I never took the meds prescribed. Just had my blood work. Still working on lowering it! I will do it!

      I was prescribed medformin but haven't taken it ....too many bad side effects

    Was diagnosed with prediabetes (5,78% A1c, glocose 125mg/dl) a couple of months ago. I a skinny person who wants to gain weight. I have changed my lifestyle, working out, mainly weight lifting 4-5x a week for 1h, and changed my diet where i eat 2700 calories per day (500 surplas). This diet consist of a net 330g carb (mainly complex carbs), 135g of protein and 88-90g of healthy fats. So far i have been feeling better and the tiredness dueing the day is gone. Unnecessary cravings also almost disappear. I have noticed though that whenever i am stressed i experience bloodsugar spike that can reach up to 160mg/dl.. whenever i have it is try to exercise either at home or run outside.

You do an excellent job of explaining things. I have cleaned out my pantry and focusing on eliminating no sugar added foods, bad oils, and choosing low carb net options. I already work out regularly.     Hi Morgan, your podcasts are extremely helpful. My GP actually ordered a fasting insulin for me (looked at me funny when I asked, though!) and told me I’d have to pay for it. When I presented for my blood draw I was informed that no, I did not have to pay for it as it was covered under OHIP (I’m in Ontario, Canada). Sure enough, it’s elevated - not by a lot but still elevated. It has motivated me to get back on to a low carb diet (I previously reversed my pre-diabetes by dropping 60 lbs in 2018 and have put 30 lbs back on.). I will continue to follow you, your content is very very good!

    Great video Dr Morgan.
    Quick couple of queries for my parent -
    1) when a patient’s Hab1c who was pre-diabetic (after 9 months of intermittent fasting) is 5.4 consistently for 9 consecutive months, is the patient confirmed non-diabetic?
    2) when the same patient however shows fluctuating dawn phenomenon (fasting glucose of 5.8 to 6.7), is the patient considered to be diabetic or pre-diabetic?

    My A1C is below 5.7, but glucose is over 100.... all aunts and uncles have been diabetic, so I am on high alert

      Low TSH and Hyper-thyroid don't go together. Talk to a doctor who does a full thyroid panel: TSH, T4, T3, RT3. Our son was told he had "thyroid" problem and it was RT3 and had nothing to do with TSH. In fact, according to 2nd doc, giving him TSH had made things worst.

    Great info doc… my last A1c was 6.5, up from 6.4 but I was not fasting for any of the tests, is fasting the best way to check it? Also, it’s not being checked on a “rolling “ 3 month period, it’s just randomly checked at office visits, am I really being tested the best way? Btw new sub too:-)

    Yes I did subscribe. 😊I want to learn to control pre diabetes and improve my overall health. Knowing exactly how to eat better and improving health is important to having a better quality of life. I agree. I also have a sleep disorder. I am only guessing these conditions might be interrelated?

    Good advice, I was just diagnosed with type 2 with an a1c of 6.7. Been wanting to do the intermittent fasting to lose weight. and.. BTW.. you have very pretty eyes.

    Hello, I just discovered your channel. My A1-C is at 6 but I am slim (5'3" 104 lbs) and I exercise. I've never been overweight and am more interested in salty/savory than sweets. It's a little puzzling, but my grandparent had full blown diabetes so perhaps I inherited the genetic predisposition toward diabetes. I think I need help with food choices. Thank you.

    I first listen to dr jasons fung video and love it. Come across and listen to your wc. Further enlightened me abt. My diabetis conditions. I started fasting aug 29 and will be my 1 month fasting today. Approximately 9/15 ratio. I did eliminated carbs and sugar as far as i know And, totally drop my metformin and gliclazide completely. I monitored my blood glucose test daily with an average reading of approximately 6.0 or 5.9 wc definetely far from my old score of sometimes morethan 7 even w medication. Finally, i will be having my 3 months hbA1c this 1st week of october. Besides controlling my food intake, i did a lot of daily exercise by walking biking. I hope this informations will help people like me to at least cure or prevent the diabetis sickness. Thanks Dr

      As i had promised, tis is to inform further that my hba1c reading as of december 2023 is 5.5 and glucose reading of 5.8. I lost approximately 50 lbs and waist belt from 36 t0 30. I am feeling so normal and based on my bloodwork test everything are excellent, wc is at the middle of the range. My family doctor finally remove my medications but for emergency i am still monitoring my blood glucose and have with me some medications for diabetis and base on my blood glucose status is still good. Green leafy veggies like moringa, spinach, kale, bitter gourd, and others vegetables. I feel strong though age 75. Thanks god. Keep IF once in a while and hope the information will help some people.
