OHHH YURRRRRR!!!

Most jazz kit ever with a mega bell ride lol. Just metal drummer things.
hhhhhhh
@@blastbeatcoin2653 hhhhhhh
Buddy Rich used a medium-heavy ride in his later career.
Sounds great tho
I thought you warped the bass drum in your thumbnail😂 The kit sounds great!
Yeah same here but it's a damn good kit. Hopefully they can add a thing we're it could have different wraps
Damn Samus, you are one hell of a solid drummer! I can listen to you play all day!
Its really cool and fun to see Samus on this small kit. Great creativity!
Thank you very much Fabian!!
The bassdrum looks like a shart, and that’s what’s so powerful about it.
That’s how my brain felt when trying to figure out why and how….
Shart💩
I've never visualized a shart. Thank you for new understanding and discoveries. I'm now one step closer to master level enlightenment.🤘
@@bobbyosborne2375 it forms a Hershey kiss as you pull your underwear away from your ass.
It'd be interesting to put two bass pedals there..one for the 12" and one for 18" side.
If thats even possible
Samus has to see this
I bet if he has a straight pedal and then one remote it would be super easy.
Yes it's possible! I did try it, but since I tuned the bass drum as evenly as I could, the mics weren't picking up a lot of the tonal difference. You mainly hear the difference just being in the room itself. The larger side has a lot more "body" to it
@@66Samus That makes sense. Have you experimented much with the different tuning zones? I wonder how a shape like that would react.
That’s the whole point of this drum when it originally came out in the 50s
The kick looks like it's melting from Samus's sick playing & his super-heated cav.
Dude, I honestly just enjoyed listening to you play without the triggers. It feels like I'm hearing a whole new aspect of your playing for the first time and I love it :)
DUDE! metal drumming on this thing sounds like late 80's death metal! so beautiful!
Yup. Reminds me a bit of Dave Lombardo's tone in Reign in Blood to be honest.
those socks tho 😂😂😂
Looks like the bass drum is melting. That’s badass!
Loved seeing you have so much fun on that kit man! Sounded and looked amazing! Thanks for sharing!
I like how the vox kit is just there all innocent and the monster kit is in the back staring it down
It sounds so good it almost feels like one of those actually good presets on an e-kit
Bro the Mario song is so nostalgic I remember watching the show as a kid
Relaxing and smooth stuff with Samus behind this jazzy kit! Even the 'metal' part sounded fun haha. Great socks btw :D
It’s awesome seeing you being able to switch up styles like that! This kit sounds great too.
That kit looks so sick. I dig the jazz and 70’s disco groove you’re playing on it, plus the metal groove at the end was bad ass! Great video Samus!
Great kit. Punchy and warm as hell! Ooohhhh yurrrrrrr! 🤘🏻 side note, love the socks!
that snare sound is so good
I've always wondered if he could play/ appreciate other styles. the dbass sounded really cool with the different pitches.
The bass drum = Teardrop trailer. I love it.
Hell yeah samus 420k subscribers!
I love the it comes with everything you need excepts every other things you need.
Loved the power floor tom groove and the jazzy song.
as much as i love your metal drums, its very refreshing to see you jazz it up like this video, even with tossing in the down with the sickness beat. richard cheese FTW! Oh Yurr! sounds like a killer kit!
Thanks for responding. I really appreciate it Samus !
I always love watching your videos! Keep it up brother!
It sounds incredible! I love a dry sounding kit!
I got a 65 speedfire kit in 5th grade. Had to send old bass drum heads to Remo so they could make new ones. There was differences in the molds and that is how they made sure you got the right heads.
Absolutely love the symbal arm on the bass drum!
Thank you for making a kit demo video where you actually play the kit for most of the video.
Sounds insane honestly. I'd buy this 💯💯
Intro brought back so many memories
Sounds great. It's great to see how versatile you are.
Very smooth
The bass drum looks like it melted in the hot sun.
Damn it, you funky bastard!
Oooofffff! That snare sounds gorgeous
Ele é fodaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! Aulas Samus! Big hug from Brasil.
Suddenly caralho
@@vitovitamina indeed,this is a caralho momento
Those "it's ok to fart" socks are the real star of this video
Hey, his disco and funk chops are pretty impressive too!
Dude, thanks for showing the Vox drumset. I know me and a lot of other guys didn't understand the bass drum till you showed us. What was really cool is you playing to the different styles of music. Freakin awesome. All I can say is "What a great drummer". Thanks for the cool vids....👍😎👌
Take 5. My favorite tune from high school jazz band. My introduction to “odd timing”.
Great kit! 🤘🏼
Good to see you on an accoustic kit. Sounds goddam great!
The real winner of todays video! It’s Okay to Fart socks.
vox is such a beautiful company
That funky part at 6:33 reminds me of the Bernie Mac show theme song. I love it🤘
Nice! I've always liked playing with a minimal kit, since it forces you to be more creative.. And the kit looks and sounds awesome!
My dude, I wish you'd given more of a demonstration of how the different placement of the kick pedal sounded. Otherwise great video and your playing as always is impeccable.
I can't help but hear every Clint Eastwood/Steve McQueen movie from the 70s worth chases. The seedy jazzy sound of 70s cinema.
Damn that sound is awesome and I f*cking love that melting bassdrum
Crazy. I literally saw one of these in a store window yesterday as I was at traffic lights. Stoked you've reviewed it !
I didn’t know that Vox made drums, I always knew them because of their amps (The AC30 is one of my favourite amplifiers) but that’s definitely an interesting kit that Samus makes sound awesome
Oh yeahh!! Fresh jazz vibe. More if this please
Kit sounds great. You’re one hell of a drummer dude 🤟🏻
6:38 your dork is incredible, I giggled.
Take 5!!! Not expecting that pure awesomeness!!
Absolutely digged that funk groove you did at the end! especially the ride bell work!
Yo the Mario brothers rap was incredible. I forgot that existed hahaha
Your magical old man hair makes me anxious. I need to pay a person who simply gives you a help friend.
I enjoyed hearing you play jazz style stuff
That snare stand looks like the Tiwanese one I bought second hand in 1980
I love the sound of the bass
So nice to hear your playing without triggers/e-drums for a change, sometimes I forget how good you really are
Wow dude! Awesome video! Really.
Ohgod it sounds so good!
@6:03 Samus is about to get down with The Sickness 🤘
The track Island Swing from Donkey Kong Country 1 must sound amazing on this kit.
That disco bit is where it fit best IMO.
Cool kit and awesome playing. Really enjoyed the beats and grooves. The metal playing, Wow amazing! and it actually sounded good on those drums. Thanks for sharing.
The sound of this kit is rather juicy
Good video Samus, never seen that set before.
I never knew there were kits like this in the past. That's crazy! Sounds great!
That kit sounds really good!
Imagine trying to explain to the guy at Guitar Center what size bass head you’re looking for.
“It’s okay to fart”
My god I need those socks.
I haven’t heard that song from that show in over 30 years and I knew every single word as they were singing it! Ha ha ha ha ha ha
6:37 is my inner Drummer at all times LOL Love your work man!
My father played this in the 60‘s from Trixon 👍
The bass drum is melting. Nice.
Those toms sound so bonzo to me I love it
Love the sound of that kit!
that drum kit gives off serious Greyson Nekrutman vibes
Awesome work Samus!
Fun Fact: A Bassdrum replacement Head costs around $210
Ummmm…..yeah fuck that shit
Where can I find them?
@@hex5452 ask your local music Store. They are only supplied by Vox themself as far as I know. At least in Germany
Loved the take 5 tribute
The socks add the perfect touch. Cool shit Sam
That is a cool intoxicated looking kick drum. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
You rock the shit out of those drum Dale..
This kit sounds glorious! Those toms!!
0:33 damn those vocals
66Samus puts the djent in djazz.
Cheers from Kentucky!
Loves the down with the sickness beat, didn’t see that one coming.
Last frame in the video is priceless 😂 great demo!
Your drumming was so fire that the kick started melting
Ooooh. Different tones with one bass with the double pedal.
My mates dad had the same kit when i was a kid,he played in dancehall bands and cuise ships ,i thought him and his kit were the coolest thing ever, ive offered to buy the kit from my mate but hes keeping it in memory of his dad.
yeah baby, nice one!!
I never thought I’d see a company brand those old kits back. Nor did I think I’d ever have the opportunity to try one. As a kid I remember looking at those old kits in pictures and just thinking what it would be like to play one. Looks like I may just have to pick one up now… 😉
the kick drum is so cursed i can't handle it
