This is THE best video instruction on making loops that I have seen. Thank you so much...now I clearly understand how to make proper, consistent loops.
Carol, you are simply the best teacher! When I started doing jewelry, it wasn’t a priority to make a perfect or near perfect loop. Now I have progressed and my goal is to make my loops as close to perfect a 70 year old granny can get. Especially for projects of length. I’ve found cutting my own strips and making the right angle bend vs purchasing store bought and using the One-step looper more satisfying. I couldn’t achieve this without this fantastic tutorial!
I love your no-nonsense instruction! I love that you just do instruction, step by step, and go from start to finish! The Problem Solving at the very end of this video was so powerful and useful and very intuitive on your part! Thank You so much
Thank you so much! I am new to making jewelry. By following your directions, I FINALLY make the perfect loop! I taught school for 20 years, and I LOVE how explicit you are, your form of instruction, and of course your purple glasses:). I can't wait to watch all of your tutorials!
I have been making wire earrings for over a year and finally came across a tutorial that is so easy to understand from beginning to end. I wish I could go out and collect all the earrings I've made and do my loops over:).THANK-YOU X10.
Thank you Carol, you've saved me from spending a lot of money buying a loop-making tool! I'm quite new to beading/jewellery making and have expertly produced every one of those dud loops you showed in your video😂 Thank you for taking the time demonstrating how to avoid them and how to fix them up xx💖🌹
Oh, I'm so pleased that this video has helped you. The 1 Step Looper has its place (I love mine) but when you're learning, it's good to practice making the loops manually. I only know this because I used to be an expert at making those dud loops too! Thank you so much.
I've beeb Beading for 13 years, and it's never too late to brush up on Fundamentals. Especially considering I am self-taught. So I've never taken any classes or had anyone show me. I luv strengthening my Fundamentals, and u teach very well. Thank u!
Super simple tips on making perfect loops and correcting mistakes. An often overlooked issue for many jewelry makers. Thanks so much for all of your awesome videos!
I’ve never ever realized what I was doing wrong trying to make perfect loops until tonight! ❤I can’t tell you how silly I feel when this video is right here and the explanation and answers are so simple. I can’t wait to start doing things the right way! And just because I said she has “simple” easy to understand directions/instructions doesn’t mean it’s going to be “simple” for me to do perfectly right out the gate but at least I have a great starting point now- Thanks to the fantastic video! Thank you!!!!!!!🎉❤🎉
Thank you so much. I'm so pleased that you found this video and also that it answered your questions. It's not simple but it does get easier with practice.
Hands down the best tutorial I have seen on making loops. I'm off to buy some flush cutters right away after years of using my memory wire cutters for nearly everything 😬 thanks for presenting in an easy to understand demo format 😊

Oh my goodness! This is a perfect tutorial! I'm a perfectionist and simple things like loops drive me bananas! (also trying to get jump rings perfectly flush😊) Many thanks!
That is the most comprehensive video I have ever seen on loops. I have struggled with this process for years. Thank you so much for showing me the process so beautifully. I’m going to save it for future reference.

Thank you so much for this awesome video. I have been struggling with loops since I started making jewelry about 5 months ago. Thank you thank you thank you!
You're very welcome Noralyn, thank you. Let me know how you go after watching this and whether I need to explain anything else. We all struggle at the beginning but soon it will become second nature.
I’m new to making loops. I’ve watched a few different videos, but this is by far the best one I’ve seen. The tips you give are priceless and make it so much easier to understand. Now…I’m going to make some loops!
Hi Cathy, thank you so much. That's awesome. Go forth and make loops! By the way, I'm working on a trouble shooting wire wrapped loops video too so make sure you subscribe so that you'll know when I upload that one in a few weeks.
Enough detail to help me solve my loop problems and a nice instruction in how to correct common problems. Thank you for taking the time to do this, as it helped me as I’m learning!
Thank you! I was a beader but it’s been years and I had forgotten how to make A simple loop 😳 I’m glad I found you so that I can make jewelry again. I will be watching you for more advice 😊
Thank you for explaining everything so clearly and showing what you're doing from different angles. It's always been hit or miss whether my loops would turn out, and now I feel confident that I can make consistently good loops.
Omg. I have struggled for years with my loops. Thank you so much. I finally got it. Perfection and actually so easy the way you explained everything. I'm over the moon. Just took my jewelry to a new level
Loops have been driving me crazy!! Thank your for making this video! I’m going to do this immediately. I never thought to measure my wire first - I always eyeball it- and obviously that’s wrong 😂

Learnt heaps on loops! Thank you for making this video - such useful tips...it taught me how to see the details in making loops & creating the perfect loop! ❤Amazing!
I did find it useful! And I’m glad I found this at the start of making things so I learn and use the good habits first. Always so annoying when you realize you’ve learned it in a way that created bad habits and you have to relearn it.
Thank you so much, Nalani. Yes, it is frustrating when you realise that the way you've been doing something is not the correct way. Good habits at the beginning sounds like a good idea.
Your necklace is fabulous!!! Watching this video as I am interested in getting a one step looper, however I want to make loops properly with my current pliers.thank you for sharing your experience.
Thank you Lynn. I always leave links in the description box to any jewellery I'm wearing. The necklace tutorial can be found here: th-cam.com/video/3gDOat8kMow/w-d-xo.htmlsi=q5M_cRjYWG6b27y- As you watch more of my videos you will see that I use my 1 step looper all the time. It's one of my favourite tools.
Thank you for your wonderful demonstrations. The music is very low so we are not distracted and can hear your directions which are very clear! This is an excellent video! Thanks again. I have subscribed!
Thank you so much, Linda. In regards to the music, I learned along the way that people found the music distracting as I have had complaints about it on some of my older videos, so it's nice to know that you found it at a good level. Thank you for subscribing.
Thank you thank you! Your videos has saved me so much time and frustration! I am doing online classes for jewelry design and found myself frustrated wondering if I was actually meant to be making jewelry..Different loops, different sizes, etc. etc. I am so grateful that I found your channel! :)
Thank you for this! I have watched so many how to videos for making loops. I did end up buying a loop tool. One prong is round the other is curved, it is not enough to make a perfect loop. It doesn't help with the right angle, wire length, centering. With this tutorial, I can see that it's probably an unnecessary tool. I am going to practice by pre-making a bunch of simple dangles/drops for finishing off future projects. That way mistakes are less frustrating as a beginner because it's not being tried before perfected on a really nice bead or charm.
Thank you. It does take practice to get the perfect loop. I also use my 1 step looper a lot too. Here's another video where I talk about perfecting the loop as well. th-cam.com/video/vXGQ62YDa2U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AbOEQwN88kTEkA0b
Thank you so much for this informative video and how to make a perfect loop and why they do not always turn out great... the best video l have seen. Love all the tips especially the template and marking. I want to sell my jewellery and obviously want perfect loops hopefully they will be after watching this.
Thank u so so much for sharing your knowledge!!!!! I'm new to beads n jewelry n your channel. My loops were looking like the wings ones here. Now I know what I was doing wrong
Thank you so much for the wonderful master class! You are excellent at telling and showing processes in detail, but without unnecessary words. I'm subscribing :) Good luck and inspiration to you!
I measure by stacking my flat nose pliers on top of each other and the top plier with built in cutters ( flipped flat side up to give it enough wire ), I cut there. I also like filing the end so it’s smooth and then I do a right angle bend and roll up a loop with my loopers.
Thank you so much, Ingrid. Hello from New Zealand. It's lovely to virtually meet everyone from around the World. Thank you for telling me where you are from.
Thank you Carol for your fantastic video on how to make perfect loops & fix faulty ones. Love your Kiwi accent too! I have a friend in New Zealand, Bryan Waddle who used to be cricket sports announcer for Radio New Zealand! I'll definitely be liking more of your videos. This is best loop making video I've ever seen.
Thank you so much, Sandy. I'm one of those unusual Kiwis who doesn't watch cricket so I don't know of Bryan. I'm glad you found this video useful. I'm thinking about doing one for wire wrapped loops as well - an expansion on the previous wire wrapped loop video.
Thank you so much, Sandie. I hope you watched the other loop making video too in which I share more secrets. Here's a link for you: th-cam.com/video/dcEQ3SV_pyk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9imeO-re1k_9q4XR
Hi Randy, I'm glad you enjoyed this one. I have done 2 videos on how to make a wire wrapped loop. This one is more recent and makes a project - th-cam.com/video/OUITRG0T_Ko/w-d-xo.html, and this one is very old but still shows the basics - th-cam.com/video/tkJa_1GAbew/w-d-xo.html. After you watch these ones, let me know if you still think I need to do another tips one. I'm really happy to do that. Thank you. Carol
I LOVE wrapped loops! I was taught at a bead fair in Perth (scotland) years ago now, and took to it like a duck to water 😂😂 my only trouble is gripping too hard and taking the coating off everything, I reckon this is due to my dysgraphia same principle as using writing implements. 😊
Hello Carol...received a looper today. The 2.5 looper will arrive tomorrow...hope the wires will be in by weekend. In the meantime; will continue to binge this video!! again thab you for your tutorials!!! Time to get ice cream bye, bye (it;s me Josie again)
@AffordableJewellerySupplies I have so enjoyed your video; I am 71 yo and just learning how to make jewelry; I have so many pliers, tools, including two 1- step loopers, and gemstone beads that I have been collecting for years; maybe by watching you, I will gain enough confidence to keep trying. I am left handed but manage to use the right-handed loopers; I had no idea they made them left handed! Yay! Being left handed, I am used to having to be ambidextrous, living in a right handed world! Lol!
This is THE best video instruction on making loops that I have seen. Thank you so much...now I clearly understand how to make proper, consistent loops.
Thank you so much, Christine. That is so kind of you to stay. Have fun making your consistent loops!😍
It sure is!!!!

Thanks so much. Yes, it's a common issue but once you know how to fix it, you should be all good.
Brilliant instruction on making loops and trouble shooting 👍

Wow, thanks!
Thank you so much for the wonderful master class! You are excellent at telling and showing processes in detail, but without unnecessary words. I'm subscribing :)
Good luck and inspiration to you!
Thank you so much. Welcome, thanks for the subscribe too.
I measure by stacking my flat nose pliers on top of each other and the top plier with built in cutters ( flipped flat side up to give it enough wire ), I cut there. I also like filing the end so it’s smooth and then I do a right angle bend and roll up a loop with my loopers.
That's interesting. Thank you Angela-Ruby.
Thank you! I am a Newbee and enjoy your channel! I appreciate you!
You are so welcome! Thank you.
I love your videos. It's so informative. Good to go back to basics sometimes. Thank from UK

Thank you so very much for this outstanding explanation of the loop! 🎉
Thank you, Jan.
This was very helpful, I’m a new at jewelry making so any and all help is very appreciated. Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much, Sandie. I hope you watched the other loop making video too in which I share more secrets. Here's a link for you: th-cam.com/video/dcEQ3SV_pyk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9imeO-re1k_9q4XR

Beautiful job and such clear instruction Thank you for the tips ❤
You are so welcome, Gwen. I'm glad you found this one useful.
Very useful, how about the same but with wrapped loops, I use those more than this kind of loop and they always come out wonky - I call them "rustic"!
Thank you so much, Josie. Glad you're enjoying the videos.
I bought tool looper dooper but it has to be certain length to make loop then it makes my dangle to loose.do you find that
I didn't know looper came in diferent sizes
Yes, it comes in 3 sizes as well as left handed ones.@@jeanettereynolds3151
@AffordableJewellerySupplies I have so enjoyed your video; I am 71 yo and just learning how to make jewelry; I have so many pliers, tools, including two 1- step loopers, and gemstone beads that I have been collecting for years; maybe by watching you, I will gain enough confidence to keep trying. I am left handed but manage to use the right-handed loopers; I had no idea they made them left handed! Yay! Being left handed, I am used to having to be ambidextrous, living in a right handed world! Lol!
Tip # 5, changed my life! Wire flush with pliers.
Oh, I'm so pleased that this was helpful. Have fun making your nice round loops.
This is a wonderful video, thank you very much!
Thank you for watching. I'm so pleased that you found it useful.
Thanks so much for this video-very helpful.
