I love this scene, especially the part where Daguza blows the Sinanju's face off revealing an eye in the back that the Sinanju is a Gundam type mobile suit but was just changed by Frontal to have a Zeon aesthetic. This is a good reflection to show how terrifying of a weapon the Gundam is to its enemies, and Banagher realizes this soon after attempting to kill Frontal. Gundam Unicorn is a masterpiece!
@Joffezz yes if you look at the design of sinanju stein you will see the two red eye cameras, Neo Zeon just put a third green camera in the middle to make it look like a zaku
To bad this was way better than the final battle with the stupid space hug, I heard that in the novel it was just those 2 figthing it out with no neo zeong
@@Koel_Hellion there was some newtype shenanigans, but nothing on the level of the OVA. That said I love the Neo Zeong so much as a design that I’m fine with how the OVA turned out. Plus I’ve heard from various forums that the fight wasn’t that impressive in the novel. The Unicorn and Banshee apparently have their way with the Sinanju for the most part and blow it to several pieces.
Unicorn is amazing. It's intense all the way through. It also has these moments like when Gilboa took the shot to help them achieve their goal without any anger or resentment toward the people he is fighting.
I like how Full frontal Is the only person Banagher doesn’t not try to kill lol. Maybe for a little bit before he killed his friend. But in that first fight those beam magnum bullets were only meant for one person. Well I guess later on he’s able to compromise with just throwing hands but the dude essentially kills him with a hug.
When you go in with the intent of being bait to lure the Gundam out so it can be recaptured to use for the La+ stuff and the kid who is piloting the Gundam is all "I don't wanna kill", you go in with with a plan and a certain idea of what to expect. When that goes sideways and suddenly the key to your plan for the future is furiously attempting to murder you and you weren't prepared for a fight to the death with him, you get put on the defensive and when that happens and your opponent has a beam magnum that still has shots left...run away.
@@DrForrester87 The unfortunate thing is that Commander Mackle (the guy who exited RX-0 earlier) knew that Banagher is too much a pacifist. I believe his self-sacrifice to Sinanju was intended to rouse Banagher into enough fury to go on the offense.
I feel like he probably did not have any of those with him when he was aboard the unicorn , The Loto probably carried ammunition for infantries which he made good use of in the colony before

Nah you have to awaken unicorn first to actually match els qant and turn X , there no way unicorn can win with just ntd mode (unicorn red colour) against those powerful gundam. unicorn most strongest ability is time manipulation but to reach such level is hard it clearly depend on the pilot himself
Well, if unicorn can survive firing the beam magnum continuously without destroying the arm, it can survive earth re-entry. Remember, the beam magnum is not made for normal mobile suit use
They literally show the Garencieres coming to get the Unicorn in the credits and Banagher says in the next episode that he basically landed on them and knocked them off course which is why they crashed into the desert. So how did it survive? It rode on the back of a re-entry capable ship.
This is something 60 engineering and the orginal gundam managed to pull off, it not exactly easy on the suit but unicron so over engineered, one could likely leave it in a volcano for a bit and it still work because something something psychoframe.

For it to shine it needs a background. It showed that it had a high ceiling if you can master it and even if you dont it still kickass. Plus its like a tesla that has a summon function.
I mean like, Amuro was also acting like a baby back then because of how much trauma he's going through, before he finally learned to fight because it's war out there.

This whole episode was the best in terms of everything. You even saw the development and growth of the hero from beginning to end.
