Thank You, Nigel -- again I love the subject You are touching on. Price war! It was the original reason that got me into the Seal camp. As I was almost ready for the Model Y, minus the cash in my pocket. Plus the things I didn't like about the Tesla. Like no buttons and white seats. And I consider my decisions right till today. Keeps me happy and sleeping well. And in the case of the war? It must be a good thing? Mainly for the Aussies? The more of it? -- the better. Hardly happens! The war -- I mean. Greetings, and Thank You. Bye.
This takes too long for me and i'm not even sure i want an EV. I got a very well specced late 2022 Cupra eHybid with 8000km for a reasonable price to see if that suits my driving profile and decide if the next one is going to be an EV or another PHEV with over 100km of EV range in maybe 3-5 years.
Not sure where you are getting your insurance quotes from but a lot of EVs are cheaper to insure. Agreed infrastructure needs improving but there are more and more chargers coming on line. Look at the battery tech that is now ready to go into EVs - 6C charging means a 10 minute charge - just about time to have a piss
Great news for new buyers.
Welcome back Grumpy and thanks for the reviews.

If you do a lot of highway driving or don't drive often, hybrids are not a good option.
Electric cars are still overpriced. Insurance on electric cars is very high too. infrastructure and charging speed needs to be improved also.

Took delivery of an MG a week ago. Insurance is about the same as my Toyota Yaris Cross. In fact, RAC give zero emissions vehicles a 20% discount....
