@@ethelann he get disabled after he kill grayghost and moondancer and capter billa than he It takes over the ironthrone the bais showruner cant change that fact
This is my perpective on why Rhanys never fled the fight . . . Because even we assume Aegon was dead, the real treat against the black was Aemond and Vhagar. Much more Rhaneys herself saw how twisted the mind Aemond has. He had no second thought burning his own king , his own brother . In Rheneys perpsective, even though Aegon was dead in the process, the war will never be stop. Aemond is the major treat. So she had to act and try to atleast do some big damage agaidnt Aemond and Vhagar, if not possible kill them.
Exactly. She saw this as her best opportunity to end the war now, and prevent any more bloodshed on either side. With both Aegon and Aemond's dragons dead, the Greens would have to surrender. She knew she would probably fail, but she had to try.
@Rocket1377 she could have fled, save both her life and her dragon , and just play the long game. But the others need to realize that the chance to take down Vhagar and Aemond is now , or there will never be a chance . She atleast taken down the largest dragon on the ground and realized it as an opportunity to do some serious damage to Vhagar. The way I saw it, Rhanys, after Vhagar went aground, could fire or kill its rider Aemond, that could have atlest left Vhagar riderless. That's her chance and she must try atlest. Unfortunately the plan didn't work ,but atleat we knew where she's coming from.
Harrenhal was basically a castle made in the most cursed ways possible, blood in the mortar, hallucinogenic heartwood trees cut down to make the lumber, and then melted the day it was completed by Aegon and Balerion. So it's just a tiny bit 'cursed'
If you're going to keep rewatching Game of Thrones, I would stop before season 3. There's a MAJOR character death spoiler in that season for House of the Dragon.
Idk this feels like a “spoiler” going into this I sort assumed nobody was gonna survive a dance of dragons. Only a few people deserve to make it and they won’t
What message does it send to Rhaenyras forces if their queen’s dragons abandon them to die? If she ran away the greens would tell everyone if you follow them they’re just abandon you.
You must know, Harrenhal is in the most strategic area in Westeros, its stood in the heart of Westeros and Harren the black made sure he has every advantage against an army of men. The great towers of Harrenhal can see through miles and miles. Its has the trade routes and boat routes and it is gathered by almost black supporters, getting Harrenhal means gaining control of almost everyrhing. Its a no brainer why everyone contests the occupation of Harrenhal when there's a war in Westeros. At that point Aemond is right, taking Rook's Rest does contain Dragonstone and leaving fewer safe routes.
@@mucurovic4665but it will be, considering Aemond got killed straight away, while Daemon died falling from a height. Vhagar also died from falling into water, while Caraxes managed to swim ashore then died from wounds
@@andrewyakovlev9710 Doesn't matter if Meleys dies an hour later then Vhagar or Aemond dies by Daemons blade. Getting / killing a dragonrider straight away doesn't really mean anything imo if you don't get to survive the fight. Daemons leap to kill Aemon was more of a spite thing rather then an actual strategy. Pretty sure Daemon knew they would all die when they hit the ground anyways. Also, Vhagar died first because he is probably ten times heavier than Caraxes so the impact killed him immediately, but Caraxes being lighter had a milder fall but still died.
House Blackwood has a Major character in the original A Game of Thrones show. It was mentioned in the show but light spoiler warning since some of the info was cut from the show. Bran figured out that the Three-Eye Crow is Brynden Rivers, The Bloodraven, a bastard of a house Blackwood mother and Targaryen king Aegon the IV. Bloodraven served as hand of the king for 2 kings before going to the wall, then disappearing beyond the wall and becoming the Three-eye Crow.
what was the point of her going back and back to attack until death? There was no buildup for her to be suicidal... Like she even had a loved one, the black targarian. Just for the plot to progress she had to die? They could atleast film it in a way where she was constantly trying to escape, but Vhagar still cought her...

Aemond roasting Aegon in high valyrion while Aegon struggles to respond proved further Aegon is out of touch. He might be the only one who cant properly speak it.
Its crazy that Vhagar once flew side by side with Balerion and she is still around. I'd love a show about Balerion but the competition wont be close in that series.
My thoughts: Rhaeny’s had to protect that castle at all costs because of the strategic location it holds thus the Queen’s decision to send their strongest piece available in absence of Daemon. If Cole controlled it means they would have (correct me if I’m wrong) Dragonstone surrounded, strengthening Green’s position and weakining Black’s; possible checkmate scenario. If she fled, she would have lost the castle plus her chance of killing Aemond/Vhagar and Cole (removing the 2 strongest pieces on the board). From chess standpoint, it was a calculated risky move but considering the options, I would have taken it since the payoff is ending Cole and Aemond in one move and ending the war.
“You’re not fit for the white cloak.” He would know. House Darklyn has the honor producing the most Kingsguard knights in all of Westeros. (Although there is some timeline shenanigans where their sigil is incorrect, as it has representations of Kingsguard members who haven’t been born yet.)
4:11 What can she do? The council was already planning on crowning Aegon even before his death and the misunderstanding with his last words to Alicent. It was always going to happen. The lords of the realm didn’t want Rhaenyra. It was basically a vote JUST like they VOTED in Viserys in the first damn place over Rhaenys. Jaherys knew that if the lords of the realm didn’t vote their next king (because his sons were all dead and the only heir would have been Rhaneys) there would have been civil war and he didn’t want that. Viserys should have done the same thing.. but nope held onto his delusions over the good of the realm. IF they have a shit about the prophecy of Ice and Fire then it shouldn’t matter who’s on the throne just as long as they can lead the people. A civil war would destroy that.

I like criston's character, and the character has a lot of potential, he is the scariest mf in this realm who doesn't have a dragon, a real problem for the black team. aside from being hated for hypocrisy, he is a very interesting character.
I wish Rhaenys went along with Daemon's plan for them both to go and take down Vhagar. If she listened to him, she would probably still be alive. Vhagar would be no match against both Meleys and Caraxes.
It's probably because the showrunners really trying to give rhaenys and meleys "cool" send off. So they need to work away around how they're going to finish them off. It makes sense when Vhagar sneakily chomp Arrax in a storm-cloudy environment... But instantly gone after she fall to the ground without rhaenys noticing her movement is kind of stupid to be honest. Arguably the greatest episode of the series so far because every scene mattered. Meleys could've defeated Vhagar but Rhaeneys's hesitation to be a kinslayer and willingness to die (caz of her children's death and husband's infidelity) brought her demise. But it's okay, Rhaeneys lived a full life, fought valiantly 2v1, crippled Aegon and died a dragonrider's death.
Actually vermithor and the cannibal would be the next two biggest dragons after vhagar Caraxes and meleys were 4 and 5th Then sheep stealer and seasmoke and syrax
I dont think we will see cannibal cause he woudnt be used in the story but if we go by lore cannibal survives the dance by not participating and leaves dragon stone later , dany in the books sees a dragon bone , which is massive ,in the desert . Moreover its rumored that cannibal wasnt a targryan dragon but a dragon that was at Dragonstone before they ever came . So seeing all this that means cannibal would have had time to grow larger than balerion and vagar even if he lived say 50yrs after dance
I hate this happened to maybe the only character I really liked in this show but she knew she had to really take advantage of this opportunity and show their allies that they weren't just hiding in dragonstone
Aemond and Daemon are a lot alike - HOWEVER......Aemond is showing to be more tactful because he knows exactly what he wants and Daemon is conflicted. Daemon doesnt know whether he wants the army for himself or for Rhaeynera.....Aemond wants Aegon to die and isnt emotional about his brother being harmed in ANY way. He wants to be king 100%. Yea, if anyone was wondering what makes Aemond and Daemon different, Aemond is more sure footed when violent.....and Daemon you dont know what to expect from him because you can see in Daemons visions even he doesnt know what he wants......and thats affecting him raising an army faster, Aemond and Cole are raising numbers quickly and all of Roots Rest was a plot to take out a dragon......So while Daemon is conflicting with himself, Aemond and Cole are on the move......

Regarding Dragon loyalty: The dragons bond with their riders, so can we assume that they share their rider’s allegiances? Daemon and Caraxes were kinda bonded to Laena and Vhagar while Darmon and Laena were married. We saw them playing and exercising together during that time. How will they react to being pitted against one another?
No, they don't. Their only bond is to their rider. They are wild animals and don't care about politics. They are also difficult to control. I would say more, but I don't want to spoil upcoming storylines.
Rhaenys did what she needed to be done. She missed her chance to burn during Aegon's coneration. She went down like a gangsta when she mortally wounded Vhagar and Sunfyre, so she knew what she was doing and martyred herself.😢
@@CodeeXD Well she did wound Vhagar at some point, it you it's barely a scratch, but any wounds to the belly would slow down Vhagar for future kill. Perhaps a better shot for someone to take down Vhagar next dragon battle.

To add to that, when Rhaenys saw what Aemond did to his brother, she knew Aemond is crazy and have to die cause he'll just continue to bring destruction. Also to add, maybe she couldn't stand Vhagar her daughter previous dragon on the hand of a lunatic like Aemond.
Sunfyre's winter arc is going to be carzy
We have to hand it to Tom. How the hell does he make me feel bad for Aegon? Good Lord, he's such a good actor.
Vhagar is 2 for 2 on sneak attacks. She isn’t the most experienced dragon alive for nothing.
She is the biggest dragon alive so she can easily hide, hell even in this episode she was hiding under some leaves
@@ripeager9338 how does being the biggest make it easy to hide?
@@rexibhazoboa7097 I have 2 initial thoughts to your question, 1st one is I was clearly being sarcastic with what I said, but just for a second think of the dynamics of what aemond must have gone through to cover it up with leaves. The Princess Rhaenys Targaryen was born on the 7th day of the 7th moon of 74 AC (7/7/0074). Yesterday, the day of this episode's airing, was July 7th, 2024 AD (7/7/2024).

The time stamp for the mentioned spoiler is from 14.18 to 14.35 when Joffrey talks to Margaery. This way you don't need to butcher the episode haha

Rhaenys could litteraly end the war here. That's why she stayed.
The 5 biggest threats of Team Green are here : Aemond/Vaghar, Criston Cole, and Aegon/Sunfyre. Aegon/Sunfyre were out, and she was doing well against Vaghar. It was her duty to try. A success would have given the victory to Team Black

Actually the second biggest dragon is Vermithor who's last rider was old king Jaeherys.
Rhaenys KNEW she had to go with Meleys in CASE of vhagar showing up and knew she had to give a chance to try to do some damage
"I can have to make a war."

😅That scene made me laugh. Aegon never took his lessons seriously.

Spoiler alert based on the books....
Pretty much everyone is going to die
Everyone dies, lol.
Idk this feels like a “spoiler” going into this I sort assumed nobody was gonna survive a dance of dragons. Only a few people deserve to make it and they won’t
Everyone but Rhaenyras children with Daemon.
And your point of commenting spoilers is..?
This takes place almost 200 years before GOT, so yeah, everyone is pretty much dead by the time of “Winter is Coming.”
It's funny, Daemon is tripping and on his castle renovation journey while knowing he's in the right spot and that the war will eventually come to him.
Dude, Aemond is RUTHLESS

Aemonds death will probably not be as satisfying as you think, considering who he is going to take down with him ;)
@@mucurovic4665but it will be, considering Aemond got killed straight away, while Daemon died falling from a height. Vhagar also died from falling into water, while Caraxes managed to swim ashore then died from wounds
@@mucurovic4665 yeah that's true but still I want to see the end of him 🥹
@@andrewyakovlev9710 Doesn't matter if Meleys dies an hour later then Vhagar or Aemond dies by Daemons blade.
@@aleen1260 Well... you will, but keep in mind nobody wins in this war. Everyone will die.
The archers on the castle had the VIP seats to the dance

what was the point of her going back and back to attack until death?
There was no buildup for her to be suicidal... Like she even had a loved one, the black targarian.
Just for the plot to progress she had to die?
They could atleast film it in a way where she was constantly trying to escape, but Vhagar still cought her...

Daemon’s vision is definitely foreshadowing a conflict. And it has he potential to be the best scene of the entire series. Fingers crossed.
They had Dino the Dinosaur on standby 😡 …OMG this damn show!! but in the end Rhaenys is a dragon riding soldier. A real soldier never runs away from battle win or lose, if they are going to lose they will inflict as much damage/casualties as possible before the outcome and she did that & died a Dragon Riders Death 😢 much respect ❤🫡 🔥🐉🖤
Why haven't you uploaded the mark Wahlberg Transformers movies yet? They're just as good as the original trilogy.
Jeremy Jahns calls sir Cole “the hand in the queen”
😅😅 Good one ! ☺
Rip meleys the red queen. Won the initial battle but lost the war. Went out like a total savage.
If was so funny seeing non book readers hyped up that Rhanys is going to rook's rest, the rest of us book readers were like🙃
“You’re not fit for the white cloak.”
He would know. House Darklyn has the honor producing the most Kingsguard knights in all of Westeros. (Although there is some timeline shenanigans where their sigil is incorrect, as it has representations of Kingsguard members who haven’t been born yet.)

What can she do?
Eve is the best gon miss her
If I was Rhaenys, I would have flew back and got reinforcements. You are going to need at least three dragons to take down Aemond.

I love how the show runners made Vahgar sounds like she’s in stealth mode. How can a big dragon like this can fly so quietly?
"He was a great Lord Commander is what he was, he tried to save the realm from Maegor with Teeits and in this house Ser Criston Cole is a hero! End of the story!" Mushroom.
Dragons are the best offense for sure but they're also the best defense. If you send a bunch of dragons out to attack just one then you're open to getting counter attacked by your enemies dragons while your defenses are away.
I'm team green but I'm also sad about Rhaeny's death...she would've made a better ruler than that incompetent Viserys
Apparently so, as we know, Caraxes alone was enough to take down Vhagar, meaning Caraxes and Meleys together would absolutely obliterate Vhagar
I don't understand how Vhagar keeps sneak attacking other dragons considering how big she is. Probably due to battle experience. Anyway ima go cry now
It's probably because the showrunners really trying to give rhaenys and meleys "cool" send off. So they need to work away around how they're going to finish them off. It makes sense when Vhagar sneakily chomp Arrax in a storm-cloudy environment... But instantly gone after she fall to the ground without rhaenys noticing her movement is kind of stupid to be honest. Vhagar is enormous and slow.
@@dewantoroo a few more serious scraps would have made more sense than another sneak attack. This would have made her look like a true bad ass than that pit move from season 1
Arguably the greatest episode of the series so far because every scene mattered. I wouldn’t say criston Cole is a villain, criston is just the villains to the blacks which happen to be our protagonist. If we look at body count Rhaenys is more evil than criston considering how many innocents she killed in episode 9. Rhaenys plan was to win the battle she didnt expect both dragons to be there n the reason y Rhaenys didn’t retreat because the reward was well worth the risk. RIP my favorite live action female Targaryen.
Hahaha she's more evil than criston? Even w that nonsense of ep 9 she's not more evil than him, besides, that scene was just for the sake of cool unexpected moment since they got no interesting scene to add in the finale of that ep. But they fucked since it was nonsense

It’s impressive to think that meleys were able to drop vhagar like that made some minor scratches that pisses vhagar and meleys single handedly sunfyre with that bite at the wing
Meleys is fast
Meleys could've defeated Vhagar but Rhaeneys's hesitation to be a kinslayer and willingness to die (caz of her children's death and husband's infidelity) brought her demise. But it's okay, Rhaeneys lived a full life, fought valiantly 2v1, crippled Aegon and died a dragonrider's death.
Actually vermithor and the cannibal would be the next two biggest dragons after vhagar
Caraxes and meleys were 4 and 5th
Then sheep stealer and seasmoke and syrax
The Cannibal is so cool, an expanded role for it in the show would be a change from the book I wouldn’t mind
Damn this episode is epic.
Rhaenys dying was the most upsetting because of how much I grew to like the character.

The king did not die 😮
Ant at the beginning of the ep: I bet Aegon is gonna die
